If you think a truck like this rust free 4x4 5 speed extended cab goes for 2-3k with a clean title. PLEASE tell me where you are I’ll come get them ASAP.
I had to do that a good bit. Finally used a light lithium grease. I was gonna just put a push/pull cable on it as I was a tractor mechanic for awhile, it would of felt natural, lol
I'd say 10 grand canadian. I got one with 535000 kilometers, it's a 97. The 4x4 doesnt work, the windsheild was smashed, one of the tail lights was roached, and a brake line was totally blown. The tires were also very bald. I talked the seller down from 7500 to a flat 5 grand. It was a steal since the motor had never been tuned or had the pump cranked. I drove it from Lilooet all the way back to Vancouver Island. Had 3 people come up to me while I was waiting for the ferry to tell me they thought it was cool. I've just as of today finished pulling everything out of the interior. I'm gonna clean it, repaint the plastics, put new fabric on the roof liner, and replace the speakers and slap it back together. Then I'll start working on the body. Been a fun project for me. Never did I ever think I would be able to find one of these. Soon as I saw that truck and he was willing to accept my offer I leapt on it and didn't look back. It needs work. But I got nothing but time. I think its super cool ypu buy these old trucks and restore them. There was a good chance mine would have been parted out. So I'm happy I saved it. Even though it's a pain in the butt sometimes.
Nice truck. Just bought one, 5spd but 2wd. Rebuild vacuum pump, powersteering and the kdp. Love it. Can't wait to see what comes up next. Thank you for the videos.
You are the Cummins man. My friend is building one that will have twin turbos on it. He brought the turbo pipe over this weekend for me to weld up. I'll have to go over there and take some video of it and upload it to my channel. Good job stay safe and take care.
Well, with a shift lever sticking out of the column but also a stick coming out of the trans tunnel that’ll decrease the value here in NW Oregon 😂 probably 7-10k. Really depends
It should. My 1996 Dodge RAM 2500 was sitting for 10 years, and she fired right up. Only things replaced were the fluids, fuel pump, and TPS. No error codes.
I have one almost identical that had no brakes and paid $3200 in the St. Louis, MO area, it leaked oil too, but it also has factory 5 speed, so I got a pretty damn good deal.
I had a 95, ate the auto trans on a regular basis. Ya can't kill the motor, thats a fine built motor. I found out they only used that trans for 2 years. The automatic trans was the weak link in the drive train. I ended up selling the truck cheap cause the trans started acting up again, I had a 98 ram with a 318 gas and was forced into retirement by cancer. I BEAT the cancer but the chemo and radiation beat me, lol. I've been drining the little 318 for 6 years now and even though I don't need a heavy truck for work anymore, I still kick myself in the ass for ever selling it, I would have ended up putting a 5-speed manuel in it. That truck was a beast!
Minimum 8 to 10 thousand here in GA without even touching it any further. I’d be happy to pay that just the way it sits. I’ve been wanting a 12 valve. I like the old 4.9 300 in my F-150 but it’s no Cummings.
Hey brother curious after hearing you say "are you starting without giving it fuel", I've had a 96 12v 3500 for about 1 year and half or more, i always give a tap to fuel pedal to start it. Should it be starting without added fuel when its warmish out ?? Lol dumb question no doubt but I assumed it was normal to have to add fuel mechanically being a mechanical motor hahah I dont drive her to much usually drive my jeep more often
I would have let the wait to start light goes out, i have a 95 3500 4x4, 5 spd, paid 5200 bout 10 years ago, always starts, looks good yet.. It sit all year, even in winter and i live in north nebraska, But i always wait for the heater to go out,,meaning the light, easier on starter and also the batteries. Nothing like these 12 valves though. Have a 2000 f350 with 7.3 and the cummins will run circles round it
My 99 sat for 6 year befor the vp was replaced and got to live again. Subtract the silver and black and ugly wheels for stock one from yours and it would look like mine too.
One of my friends grandpa passed away sadly but he had a first gen very late model couldn't tell you exactly but he had bought it new dove it for 50k took every fluid out of it and parked it my friend got it and had it fixed up and she works great to this day it was a truck stuck in time for sure
Could pick them up from $3500 to $8000 where i from i picked my 01 24v 4x4 5speed runs and drives for $3500 needed a little frunt end work but its all on its way put new led cab light and head lights and new tires and its ready to be a work truck as soon as the rest of the frunt end parts come in
Ya around here if the truck is fixed up looking new a 12v are high but first gen cummins is the highest so far and hard to find after i get my 24v fixed up i was thanking of trading it for a 12v 5speed 2wd not a fan of 4x4 lol but for a 282k truck its not bad now leaks and no blowbye
@@VBELTandSON I didn't say that it needed swapped, I'm kind of a purest when it comes to stock, I generally go as far as to make everything as stock as I can. New York.
Maybe like 5 6 k in michigan
@@causeimwhite22yt73 if its rusted in half. thats a 10k truck easy. up to 13k if the miles are good.

In Oklahoma it depends on who's selling it. Some kid probably wants 25-30k. An adult with an actual sense of value 12-16k

6-8k minimum, with that clean of a body, 10 wouldn’t be out of the question

8500 all day the way it is after the power steering fixed
