fun fact about baekhyun: he just hit a c6 note, that’s literally the highest note of a female soprano’s range (talking about conventional techniques). It’s 3 notes higher than his 100 high note (G5). He's the only kpop male singer to hit that note IN THE STUDIO

Maybe u'd refrain urself from spreading info from a field that u obviously aren't familiar with. C6 is NOT the highest note of a soprano range. Many female singers has hit higher with opera singers staying above it for a lot of time.
Also he has hit higher before. He hit C♯6 during his high note battle with Chen & Xiumin in weekly idol.
actually c6 isn't at all the highest note of a soprano's range! c6 is sometimes called "soprano C" because any trained soprano should be able to hit it :) and there are parts tthat call for notes above c6

The last evaluation I saw still had Chen as having the biggest range in EXO's vocals, but I wouldn't be surprised if Baekhyun was up there now. Every member of EXO has a surprising range, but the main vocalists have more control and more ability to belt on the extremes.
Range isn't the most important thing. Technique matters the most. It's what makes Chen the best vocalist in EXO & for male in 3rd gen. We need to stop overhyping range so much. It's impressive, but also overrated. U get no uses of it for most of the songs.

@@resurgingflame Baekhyun's technique is insane tho, his resonance and how effortless he is is outstanding.
In terms of range, they have had low and high notes competitions a couple times with the outcome being that Xiumin can reach the highest note, and Chen has the largest range being able to hit insanely high notes and the lowest note as well. There’s a great video of him singing a song twice, first where he does the adlibs low and descending, and second time with high and ascending adlibs - both equally amazing.
Couple times? They only did it once, in like 2013 lol lots have changed since then
Baekhyun is the most emotion conveying vocalist for me. All of them ary so good at singing that they actually think more of conveying emotions than just the technique and holding notes. But of all of them Baekhyun is the one who can touch my soul so deeply that I instantly cry just because of his tone and emotion, forget the lyrics and them notes. But the ones that make me giggle are baritones 😅 Kai and Chanyeol give me goosebumps with their deep low voices, especially Kai's Sliding just sends me and I forget who I am😅

When I first saw Baekhyun, I was not expecting the sound that came out of his mouth. He is stunning. I grew up with RnB and dude can sing with the spirit of an old school RnB singer. And as stunning as he is, he keeps regular vocal lessons. That's a real artist. I think he and D.O. have similar agility prowess. But Baekhyun can go further in range with it. ... And to answer the question, Chen's got the widest high-low range. Xiumin reaches the highest note. There are a few kpop artists with good range and high notes. I think the difference is what the EXO vocal and sub vocal line can do while they're up there. They take me to church. 🤣 And they're all in one group!

There is a very funny clip of a low note competition among the members. It was a live but I don’t remember which one (sorry!) Chen won. Baekhyun very memorably did not 😂
I can’t get over the amount of vocal tracking Baekhyun must have done to get the tapestry of ad libs he’s singing with and over. While someone else mixed it, he had to provide the raw material. That means having an idea of how he wanted it to sound in the end, starting to record tracks, and carrying each of them in his head as he went along so he’d know what he still needed to do. That’s skill.
