  • Dylan Guenther, a likely top-15 selection in the upcoming 2021 NHL Entry Draft, is an Edmonton native who had a productive season in the WHL with his hometown Edmonton Oil Kings in 2019-20. The winger has followed up his success in his draft-eligible season. Standing at 6'1, 181 lbs., Guenther began his COVID-affected season in the AJHL with the Sherwood Park Crusaders. He put up 5 points (3G 2A) in 4 games with the Crusaders before heading back to Edmonton as the WHL resumed. This year, Guenther has put up 9 goals and 9 assists for 18 points in his first 9 games.

It would be great for Detroit to add a taller Canadian winger since the departure of Mantha. Now if Dylan attains about 205 pound playing weight he will have the frame to put it on.
    Being right handed helps too.
