Hey! Great video! Thanks for sharing! Strong Apple fan here and I'm excited to try it out! Especially during these times as we endure this pandemic, I'm only able to order online. I'm just waiting for Amazon to deliver the Ethernet cable attachment lol. Keep it real there in the Caribbean🤙!
Can you do an additional video to show the latency of using this? I'm curious to see how delayed the sound is once it hits the computer, gets processed, then shoots over wifi and the mobile device plays it back.
Hi I finally got my XR18 today and it’s awesome!! Question... using the aux out on the XR18 for in ears, can these be panned left and right to create my own mix ??
Thank you for making this video, it really cleared up a few things for me. However there is still one thing that is unclear; How do you connect the stage box/ mixer to front of house?
Hi Jon-Erik, I see that we never replied! if you are bringing your own mixer for monitors then you need an analog splitter to split your instruments / mics signals. One side of the split would go to FOH and the other side to your stage mixer. If you can connect your Mac directly to the FOH console then you wouldn't need your own mixer on stage. so if you're plugging into a different venue every night its best to bring your own splitter and digital mixer with you.

It looks a very good stuff. Just one question: can I use the streaming app for recording or somehow stream channels to other laptop for recording? I have an x air 18 from behringer. We used the usb to record tracks on a pc with Cubase.
If you run SoundCaster on the same Mac as your DAW, both programs can receive multi-channel audio at the same time. You could record in your DAW and monitor through SoundCaster at the same time. When SoundCaster streams multi-channel audio to Performer, there is no way to then send that multi-channel output to another program. Performer creates a custom mix and sends it out the headphone jack which you could record but it would be a stereo pair.
bonsoir moij aipas compris.comment vous avez configurer la console avant que le son passe sur l ordinateur et aussi il ya la version android et pc windows.svp repondez moi
Mac and iOS devices only right now. We are in beta testing on the Android version of Performer. We will begin development of the Windows version of SoundCaster after the Android version is released
Audio Fusion Systems does the XR18 have its own app you can download to control your own mixes or do you have to use that 3rd party sound caster/ performer app? It just seems a little expensive having to pay for each licence for each band member, especially for a full size band of around 8-12 people.
@@RexyFan the XR-18 has 6 aux outs. You can use those to send mixes to your band and you can use the app to control those mixes through the Behringer app but you have to get the audio from the XR-18 to your musicians. To do that you could use headphone amps and cables or wedges but you would have to share mixes it would still cost over $100 per musician and the mixes would only be mono. If you want wireless you need wireless IEM receivers which will be hundreds of dollars per musician and still only mono. Audiofusion is $99 per musician and you get wireless, stereo, and personal monitor mixing.
@@RexyFan Audiofusion is not limited to the number of aux outs. SoundCaster will broadcast all 16 channels to as many as 16 musicians. Each can have their own custom stereo mix.
I have a problem with aux outputs to my iem. I want to have stereo iem signal, but I can’t do this. I want to have one guitar on left headphone and the other one on the right. Is this aux output support stereo? I have a stereo cables and stereo iem wireless system but I hear only mono. Can you help me? Maybe it’s something to change with the settings? (Pan doesn’t work)
If you use the Audiofusion system you can pan each instrument separately so you can have one guitar on each side if you like. You would need to use two aux sends to get stereo if you use your aux sends for monitoring. audiofusionsystems.com/how-it-works/
cool man am on the process of getting all necessery info on this system we want to switch very soon can you make one with the sound quality and how u guys like it?? thanks
The Building Sheriff no. Unfortunately the mixer WiFI will only send control data. You still have to get the audio from your aux outs. Audiofusion is the only one delivering audio over WiFI for live performance
It depends on your gear. Mainly what is doing the analog to digital conversion; your digital mixer or audio interface. Naturally there is some latency in any system but the vast majority of musicians who have tried the system cannot perceive any. You can try it for free with your gear by downloading SoundCaster and running it in Gear Test Mode
Hopefully there is something like a clip on case for the phones because what if someone uses this system for rap and they are dancing around and phone falls out of pocket.
This is such a great video.Well explained and very easy to follow along.Thank you so much for making this.Enjoy all your happy music endeavors .

Danny Wallace we made it simple and free to download SoundCaster and hear it for yourself! Run it Gear Test Mode tree
super smart

Great tutorial ..which year model is the 15" macbook
2016 but you could probably go back as far as 2014 when they started making all the MAcBook Pros with solid state drives.

Nice work.
I’m looking at changing my church floor monitors into in ear monitors soon.
Thanks for the tutorial. Appreciate it.
New sub :)

Audio Fusion Systems so if there’s only 6 aux outs and I have 8 wireless IEM, would audiofusion still give me 8 stereo personal mixes ?

There are lots of companies making cases with belt clips that work really well. Some of the sports cases with elastic bands can work too.
I was looking up your videos.. when using it on instrument basses or guitar .. where is it .. just talking to much
I'm sorry. I don't understand what you are asking.
I just want see live performing using intruments..
Terratonic Director you should download SoundCaster for free and try it for yourself.
