    Hello all you happy people!
    I got here by watching Jake Gosselin's video (Churchfront). Wanna say that the concept and implementation looks amazing!
    Just wanted to find out what would be the maximum distance the system would cover without too many signal drops? I know there are other factors involved, like the router, other wireless networks...

    • @AudioFusionSystems
      @AudioFusionSystems  5 лет назад +1

      The distance the system will cover is 100% up to the capability of your Wi-Fi router. The routers we recommend on our Web-site have been used up to 100 ft or more but you will need to follow general Wi-Fi best practices. How big of a stage do you have? How big of a distance do you think you need to cover?

    This seems like the perfect fit for our church. Did I hear correct in the video that it is limited to 16 total inputs? Our church runs about 23 inputs on Sunday mornings. The drums alone take up 7 channels.

    • @Teach2Build
      @Teach2Build 6 лет назад

      Mike Douglas I bet those drums can be routed to a sub mix, or maybe overheads, snare, kick in order to condense channels.

    I have several questions:
    1- Around when are y’all planing on releasing to the public?
    2- How much is Sound Caster going to cost?
    3- If I’m using my usb out from my mixer for Sound Caster, will I still be able to multi track record to protools or other daws?
    4- and last but not least, can I get my church into your beta testing? Thanks!

    • @AudioFusionSystems
      @AudioFusionSystems  6 лет назад

      1. Hopefully we're just a month away from initial release. Performer is already up in the app store.
      2. As an all software solution we plan to sell SoundCaster for $100 per musician (per the number of devices that can connect at one time)
      3. Apple's core audio does not allow SoundCaster and another DAW share the same audio device. We hear there are third party software that might be able to aggregate the audio but we are not prepared to make any kind of recommendations
      4. Sure! send me a note at leafblad@audiofusionsystems.com

    • @AudioFusionSystems
      @AudioFusionSystems  6 лет назад

      We are just a few weeks away from our 1.0 release. Performer will continue to be a free download. You will be able to purchase SoundCaster based on how many Performers you want to connect at one time. It will be a one time purchase of $99 per connection. A single audio source can only be used by one DAW at a time so you will need a separate audio interface (or some third party aggregation software) to use Audiofusion and another DAW to record the same audio.

    I tested the demo version and I'm pretty amazed. Absolutely NO perceptible latency at all. There were several clicks and pops but I didn't follow your recommended procedures (I didn't use ethernet between my MacBook and my router, and my router is not that good). Gonna try again with better conditions later, but I'm super excited for this. Any updates on the Android version?

    Hi,
    It looks great. I have one question. We are 6 musicians in our band. But there is a couple of musicians that can use the same mix. Can we connect two devices to one broadcast chanel. I mean two iphones/ipod to the same mix?
    Thanks.

    • @AudioFusionSystems

      Each device has to have its own Connection in order to receive the broadcast. The only way to share a mix would be to use a headphone jack splitter from one device.

    Great idea, no question! Maybe the most innovative piece of audio software to be released the last couple of years. I‘m really thinking about purchasing a license or two and testing it out, but I have a question that might be a dealbreaker for me (being a tech who wants to offer IEM instead of carrying heavy, feedbacky floor wedges). As it is shown in this video the Performer App has a preset button on the bottom left which is missing in my Performer App I recently downloaded. Was that feature taken out of the newer versions? If yes: Audio Fusion will unfortunately not be useable for me. Is there still a way to save presets? Or is it just useable AFTER I purchased a Performer license? Thanks for the help and Greetings from Berlin!

    • @AudioFusionSystems
      @AudioFusionSystems  3 года назад

      We took the preset feature out until it is completed. Today Performer will come back wherever you left it last. Of course, each Performer will do the same. If you’re working with different musicians, their Performers will retain all their settings which should match up with any scenes you save on your mixer. Presets should be out in the next couple of months

    • @AudioFusionSystems
      @AudioFusionSystems  5 лет назад

      The ethernet out on the LS9 is only for control (no audio) and the USB out is only a L/R stereo mix. The most cost effective way to get multi channel audio out of the LS9 is to get a Dante card. SoundCaster will recognize the Dante Virtual Sound Card as an input device.

    I have a question that might have an obvious answer. How would you use this system to play a backing track that goes to the PA system of the venue and simultaneously a click track that goes to all the musicians? Much like the one in the video that had a count in and marked the different parts of the song while having a click

    • @brandonleafblad
      @brandonleafblad 5 лет назад

      The signal flow, typically, would be 1) You would have some 3rd party software or player that is generating the click / track that goes into the sound board where it mixes with the live instruments
      2) The mixer then sends all the audio (minus the click) to the PA while simultaneously sending separate multi channel audio (including the click) into the Mac for SoundCaster.
      Most of the digital mixers these days can do that easily using a USB connection or other digital connection such as Dante, firewire, AVB etc.
      If your mixer does not have a way to integrate with the Mac then you will have to use an alternative method of converting your analog signals to digital.
      A) You could split the analog instrument signals on stage and send one side to your mixer and send the other side of the split to an audio interface or small digital mixer. Or B) You could send your aux outs from the mixer into an audio interface that would connect with the Mac
      Feel free to send me an email to leafblad@audiofusionsystems.com or reach out on Facebook Messenger and let us know what kind of mixer you have and how many channels of audio you normally use. We can give you some recommendations.

    I currently run a soundcraft UI24 rackmounted with a chromebook as a controller and hard wired through an external router. Occasionally I also use a remote tablet for FOH control. While all my current gear is android, I am not against buying some used iphones and a used IPAD to run this program but would this work with my current setup. I am not interested in investing in a new PA setup. Just adding In Ears without the weight and space needed for rack systems.

    • @brandonleafblad
      @brandonleafblad 5 лет назад

    • @AudioFusionSystems
      @AudioFusionSystems  6 лет назад

      Yes! Our 1.0 release handles 16 channels very well provided you have a great Wi-Fi Router. Down the roadmap we plan to make other products using our platform that can deliver more channels. Those products will likely be at different price points and feature sets that have not yet been decided. An interim step that we have planned will be to add a sub-grouping feature. SoundCaster will already recognize all the channels from any connected digital audio source. Today you simply enable 16 or less to include in the mix. We plan to give you the ability to group channels into a sub-mix that would broadcast as a single channel allowing you to keep the count under 16.

    Our church we have the X32, wireless router (5.0 set up for our mixer and private network for the praise team. We use iPads for adjusting in ear mixes, and use MusicStand through Planning Center). After watching these videos and hearing about it through Churchfront and LoopCommunity this has really peaked my interest. My question is sometimes I need or would really like to have an additional wireless in ear monitor. We currently use the P16 system (have 6 stations) and also have 3 Shure PSM wireless in ear packs. We have a MacBook Pro we use to run ProPresenter that we could use have the software on. My main question is would this be something in addition we could consider investing into with our current set up? Also, with the X32 the digital interface is obviously already there, but we’re using the Ultraviolet already for the P16 system. Would that still work with Audiofusion? Any help would be much appreciated.

    • @AudioFusionSystems
      @AudioFusionSystems  5 лет назад

      Hi Micah, the new version SoundCaster has a Gear Test Mode you can use to try it for free with your set-up. The 16 channel limitation will be in place for a while but you're already used to sub-grouping things for your P16 mixes. You should be able to use Audiofusion in conjunction with your current monitoring set-up. Simply choose your P16 settings as the audio source for the Card Out. That way you can expand the number of musicians you can connect without buying new boxes. You should be able to run SoundCaster on the same computer with ProPresenter but I'm not familiar with Ultraviolet. You'll have to test that part on your own. We run it with Ableton and both use the same audio coming from the USB connection.

      Audio Fusion Systems I create my monitor mixes on iPad today, i can live with mono if the competition is a very small amount of latency and dropouts (I know my WiFi, I’m a wireless network professional ) and I don’t need my band to carry a power bank. Thanks Soren. We think $99 is a great price for stereo, wireless, and personal monitor mixing control. But, we are considering a simple, stripped down version of Performer that would act only like a stereo wireless IEM receiver. The musicians would only have control over volume. The mix would have to be done by the monitor engineer like a traditional IEM. What do you think would be an appropriate price for that kind of stripped down version?

      SoundCaster will see all 24 channels coming in from the board. You can select up to 16 to include in the channels sent to Performer. SoundCaster will broadcast the first 16 channels you have enabled so you will have to deselect channels in the 1-16 range if you want to broadcast any channels in the 17-24 range

      Hi Shannon, SoundCaster will automatically detect all the channels from the 24ai boards. You would need to invest in an adapter or hub to get Firewire into a Mac these days. Performer is limited to receive 16 channels at this time so you would have to select 16 of the 24 to include in the mix

    What is the latency like compared to hardware units?

    • @AudioFusionSystems
      @AudioFusionSystems  6 лет назад +1

      Hi KeLynne, sorry for the late reply. The latency is mainly a function of your digital mixer or audio interface, that is, what you use to do the original analog to digital conversion to get the audio into the computer. You can get to single digit millisecond latency with USB out from a mixer and a good Wi-Fi router.

    Hows the latency?

    • @AudioFusionSystems
      @AudioFusionSystems  6 лет назад

      It will depend on the capability of your Wi-Fi router and the digital mixer or audio interface you are using to do the initial analog to digital conversion. Some musicians are sensitive to latency and have been able to perceive it but 99% still find it very usable for live performance. We've been using it every Sunday for the past 2 years. We hope you will give it a try for yourself.
