I'm nt even 100% sure if her death at the end of this season is permanent.. In the legend she becomes the spirit of a lake or something.. Hopefully she has atleast 1 more season though so we can see interactions with her and lancelot.
In fact, we've already met Guinevere. In the book there is an important scene which is in the show too in which an important character saves Arthur and introduces herself with her real name... I don't know why this plot twist hasn't made it in the adaptation, so I don't want to spoil too much ☻

Seeing, and knowing that a priest could do such things to an innocent child. He was so young, and he had already lost everything. His real parents, who probably loved him so much. His village. His brothers and sisters (may he had them). Only to be made like some kind of careless monster. Being kicked and tortured down over and over again so you one day will become strong enough to kill your own kind, without showing any emotions. He is called “The Weeping monk” but why? He has literally lost his feelings... His sorrow, anger, happiness... Everything. When he saw Squirrel he must have bin confused as f*ck. Seeing someone, just as innocent, brave, curious as you could have bin, if faith wouldn’t had took everything away from you. Seeing someone living the life you could have lived. Seeing your own spirit in someone else’s eyes. And all he could think was: “I won’t let you suffer as I did”. Maybe now, away from his past he will get a chance to heal his scars, and let himself be whatever he want. Walk his own path, not the one his (father) had prepared for him. I’m sure he will not kill Nimue, cause she will have the same effect on him as Squirrel did, but maybe is Nimue not only gonna end up as “ a good friend”, but as his soul-sister of maybe lover. I hope so, because they really seem to have the same willing to survive. Just as squirrel. I hope he makes the right choice in coming home to the place that once already was his home. The others will indeed don’t trust him at first but trust needs to be earned and he will do that, in some time. Together with Nimue, Morgana, Arthur, Merlin, Kaza and the little Squirrel he will protect his kind with his life. Just because he will never allow someone to take away from him what once already was taken from him. And then his name will be: “Lancelot... The Protective Monk”.

Here is a way I think it might happen, in Arthurian legend Lancelot is revived by the lady of the lake (Nimue) so future plans could be, He struggles to earn respect based on his past Tries to help as much as he can During an ambush or something makes the ultimate sacrifice to ensure people can escape Nimue then resurrects him Simply storyline, but a redemption arc needs to happen, he can’t just be forgiven straight away
