Awesome video guys as a former commercial mackerel guy ive never used soft plastics on them but a different form of a tube jig/spoon on a big 8500 reel with a heavy jigging rod and swim that thing as fast as you can and you'll catch them even bigger up into the 12 and 13lbs. They start to look more like kings! I can still make the jigs if yall are interested in trying them!
12-15" inch Mackerel is one of my favorite ! Well season on skewer sitting over a charcoal pit ! I wish I can eat it all the time but due to their high content of mercury level is a NO NO my doctor said . 😂😂😂😂

Surely theres a little more to picking a spot for mackerel. I used to bag out off a spot some yards off a jetty/deep channel pass but it's been a dud for some years and havent found good spots since.
