At 0:10, being autistic, I cannot read people. As I cannot read people, one of my most visceral fears was that I would misread a woman's feelings about me and that the woman would let me commit date rape, rather than explain my mistake. To quell this fear, I simply assumed that if a woman really wanted me, she would make it clear enough that even I could figure it out. Maybe the attractive lady friend that offered me crash space in her bed, before going off to have a shower wasn't offering me a one night stand, but our paths have not crossed, since, so I am still in doubt about whether I should have offered to wash her back (I was worried that she might get offended and rescind her offer to let me crash at her place, for the night). On the plus side, it means that my wife and I are our only sexual partners. At 2:12; the problem with mandating minimum wages is that the mandated wage cannot be higher than the value of the work being done. Absent an absurd surplus of labor, low wages are only paid for low value work. High minimum wage laws make some work not worth doing and make automation more cost effective. The immutable laws of Supply and Demand, being what they are, if you make entry-level workers more expensive, businesses will hire less of them. If you make the minimum wage $20/hr, everybody that is only worth $16/hr will never get a job. A possible solution is making payroll taxes progressive, in the same way as income taxes, so the payroll tax for a low paid worker is a smaller percentage than higher paid workers. Some employers will pocket the savings, but many will increase the lower taxed wages such that the employers are spending the same rate, but the employee gets an increase and the higher wage and lower payroll tax is the same as the old wage plus the old payroll tax.
