On my '14 CTD model I had a nightmare with the DEF system due to a bad NOX2 sensor (original factory one). It was replaced under warranty with the updated one and no issues since. But now I sometimes get the P2002 code with the DPF and I drive highway miles most of the time everyday mostly 2-lane 60mph roads. I do the regen, eventually it clears on its own but few weeks later comes back. I know if that DPF goes under the car is finished unless I can do away with it somehow. Its a great car and has good FE, but the emission junk holds it back big time.
I recently bought 2.0 diesel cruze it was shower dpf heater and filter so I drove it 85 mph for 10 miles and it was fine but if I drive 70 for a few days it'll show up again so I'm realizing gotta keep those exhaust temps up drive it faster occasionally or simply get it deleted
*Phenomenal* job with the paint removal and buffing! 😦 Looks night and day different. You have more patients than I do! Lol. You think it was some kind of plasti-dip? Like you said, makes no sense to paint the entire drivers side to try and cover the small blemishes. Nice to see you're back at it my friend. Take care TMN 🔧
I wish it had been plasti-dip, that stuff basically falls off when you hit it with carb clean, or gas, or just about anything along those lines. This was super tough and there were several times when I thought about just sanding the whole thing and making it cat yellow.😉
Gotta drive it highway speeds until the dash doesn't give you a mileage limit anymore mine was saying low Def fluid 50 miles till empty so I drove 85 for a bit and it doubled those miles till empty for Def fluid

I did a manual regen and the car is running like new but the service emissions code on the dash isn’t going away. Any advice?
No I sure don't have any, I haven't run into that. Are you able to pull up any specific codes?
What's the code?
