Thanks for your reply @@JazzManLaf! I'm not a pianist but your New Orleans style sounds great to me! One of the things I really like that I think adds a lot is the great kind of murky atmosphere some of the classic recordings of Dr John have - the Professor Longhair ones I know aren't really murky but still tons of atmosphere - and their vocals - classic New Orleans voices!
