It's a shame that the base machine gun is fairly weak. However that Laser machine gun does wonders but I feel like it comes too late in the biomes to be worth it most times.
For some reason i cant find Blueprints. I have played multiple runs, have beaten mother wave 1 3 times or so and have 2 keys but not one single blueprint :(
I know when I was playing through it Blueprints were kind of hit or miss. Honestly by the time you end up with all the keys you should find quite a few of them. Typically they're in the far corners of the mines hope this helps.
I think there are 3 in the bottom portion and 2 on the top from when you start on the wall. Most of them tend to be in the back of the larger areas. You'll get it!

Why don’t you have a 20 minute boss timer?
After you fully complete the base game it removes the boss and the boss timer completely. The DLC however adds this content back to the game.
