I pretty much agree with everything here. The only thing mentioned that got me a few times was the inability to save mid run. Considering the run can reach an hour it was pretty annoying to have to leave the game on if something came up. The lack of post game stuff was a double whammy since I ran into a bug that basically skipped the ending for me (it got patched literally hours later). So having some kind of wave based survival mode would be pretty fun to capstone the game, and it would make the towers you can build more enjoyable to use and upgrade. Also, the bomb thrower is over powered. It blows every 1st tier weapon out of the water and only losses its oomph on the final set of enemy types, but can still handle them.

Yea, the grenade launcher was pretty solid - think the only weapon that felt bad for me was the stake thrower (I just don't do well with charge-up weapons).
If I could hand pick two weapons - it would be the starter gun and grenade launcher, or possibly if I'm working to the bottom, the starter gun and the cluster launcher :) (though usually runs didn't last long enough for me to max out two weapons until post-game)

I enjoyed it, just wish there was a bit more to do post game - it's still a fun 6-15 hour experience :)

@@Alzorath agreed. I like small inexpensive games like this that I can enjoy for a time, but not be $70 poorer. :) it is on sale now too. So good time to jump in.

I did not realize that Wanderbots was a huge enough YTer to have cameos in games, haha. He does do a lot of work to sell these types of games, though. Some YTers are just too positive, and it can be hard on my wallet. That's my problem, though. Not theirs.

he's actually got a few at this point (and achievements in a few games) - what's weird is I still remember when he was at like 12k subs - weird to think he's approaching a half mill (weird to think how big Blitz has gotten too) - though I don't think most people even remember the old days lol

Do you recommend this or dome keeper, if you choose only 1?

out of the two, I would choose Wall World - it has a more complex and enjoyable gameplay loop, and while individual run length is about the same - this allows you to progress towards a larger goal run to run, while dome keeper is very capsulated (runs don't impact each other) - and that's all without taking into account that wall world is cheaper :)

does it suit steamdeck controls well?
