This is great for a single photo, but those of us who import batches and could easily resize from a dropdown menu after right click in Windows 10 are still left extremely frustrated!! I dont understand how a company makes things worse with an update.
I almost bought an external drive until I watched this. Much thanks. I was trying to resize in a user friendly way. With photos! As usual, MS is not user friendly, just very greedy. I would have never guessed to use paint. I back up everything localy and remove onedrive over and over. they want me to buy buy buy. What happened to the good old days? So thanks my friend.
THANK YOU VERY VERY MUCH!!!! After updating to Windows 11, and I couldn't find this feature (which I used a lot in Windows 10), I considered going back to Windows 10.. whew!
Someone please help, I have windows 11 2022, I've been trying to change the height and width of images but the option for custom dimensions is gone in the resize box, every time I try to change the height or width, it auto-fills with numbers, not allowing me to change the size to custom numbers or sizes. Like I can't do 800x 1280, it will only do 1200x 1200, or fill-in numbers.
I had the same problem. Follow the steps in the video - open your image in Paint and then click on resize button. Then click on the little chain icon between the size tabs. It will unlink the automatic changes and allow for custom dimensions. It's a pain in the b** to do it this way. It was perfectly easy before! Stoopid windows 11 updates! :/
Thanks for the video. Do you know how to resize and retain transparency? This feature has been lost with the Windows 11 "update" as well. (I really wish they'd stop making things worse!) Thanks in advance. :)
And please, with Paint, in your cat example photo, how do I ELIMINATE the gray area on the right part of the photo ? Is it feasible at all ? I mean, I took my picture and deleted all the area I did not need for a new one, so the area is now all white. Can this white be deleted for the picture to have new dimensions, regardless of the ratios, that is, without your gray area.
My pic wants width and height in pixels and they have to be 700 wide by 100 high. So how do I revert that in the Paint you are showing because it's not showing that on my windows 11 paint. Oh and it's home not PRO.
Oh, God, no, oh God, Please, please, no. Do not replace menu items with icons. If you feel you absolutely must provide icons for the beautiful people, allow EITHER, or BOTH. People do not want to learn new ways to do things, no matter how insistently the mentally 'tarded interface modifying developers think it's sexy & more beloved. KEEP THE MENUS. For the love of God. For the love of God

So it just screws the casual user who doesn't use the program often enough to embed the meaning of the icons in their memory.

The "send-to"-"mail recipient"-copy-paste hack is still the fastest. Why is a right click "resize"-function still is missing (?) MS?
thank you so much
ty
The explaining is great but can somebody tell me what the pixel is for Instagram? Horizontal...........Vertical.......
Thanks Alot😁😃
