I heard a rumor that kerr been switching line up on purpose during away games to see what will work against some of the high profile teams for the playoffs. He thought they will win some with the switches, but it didn't happen. He knows what works at home to win. If they get into the playoffs, I think he knows what works.
It’s really not difficult to understand for anyone who watches the games. Away from him we get killed on the perimeter and that’s because we’ve missed wiggins most of the year and GPII the whole year. That’s the two best perimeter defenders. Role players shoot much better statistically across the league when playing at home and that’s shown because there’s been a lot of games teams have shot 40% behind the arc against the warriors. Again GPII and wiggins help solve that.

I like Payton/ Klay on defense. I'm not sold that Klay is healthy enough for the task and GP is to short. Plus size. GS needs a 3rd 6 foul center. With Curry,Klay and Dray being older they need help.

And when they won w/o wiggins 2/3 years they had KD. And the other year, they were one of the deepest teams in basketball with a big wing in Harrison Barnes & Iggy was still contributing. This CURRENT warriors team that can’t win a road game is a FIRST ROUND EXIT without Wiggins.
Everyone’s talking about JP3, but I think Donte is a better player. More shot creation, rebounding on both ends, can serve as a shooter and a passer, he’s the perfect compliment to Steph and Klay
I have been watching every game trying to figure out what they are doing and seeing how people are reacting. Nothing but doubts on the Warriors game after game. I will be surprised if they are intentionally trying to figure out something.
They're definitely intentionally trying to figure stuff out. The noticeable stuff that has been figured out is how much of a defensive force Kuminga can be, how reliable Donte is as a starter and how consistent JaMychal is as a role player.
I think Poole is struggling with the role he has when Steph is on the floor. And since has been out so much, he probably had an even harder time adjusting. He had to run the team alot and now suddenly is a secondary scorer withe the ball mostly outta his hand again. I think they played really nice the last couple of games with Steph facilitating more and Poole being more a traditional pointguard. Both then let the game come to themselves and there is at all times a large penetration threat.
I still think the Warriors 3 biggest issues are stupid turnovers, half assed defense on the road and the lack of an athletic big man for rim protection. Lazy ass passes into coverage, cross court passes and sloppy ball handling by Poole are killing them. They need to protect the ball better and force stops if they do turn it over. The amount of points given up due to those turnovers and poor defensive plays are nuts. Then of course the center issue, I love Looney to death! He is a beast and he is effective...to a point! He doesn't have the height, speed or athleticism as some of the other centers in the league. The Dubs need someone who can go get the rebound instead of just having good positioning for one. We need someone to meet players at teh rim for blocks. I still think the Warriors is one of the most dangerous teams in the league, but they need to buckle down and stop saying we got this and go out there and PROVE they got this

Kuminga should start in place of Wiggins with Looney Draymond Steph and Klay. If Steph gets hurt start Jordan Poole and Klay along with Looney Dray and Kuminga. Jordan Poole and Klay have good chemistry together on the court whenever Steph is hurt. By starting Kuminga in place of Wiggins this will allow Kerr to go deeper into his bench if necessary when adjustments are needed as their coaching staff sees fit.
Just minimize playing time of JPoole in 4th quarters. Seriously he is neck to neck with Westbrook when it comes to throwing the ball away during crucial times.
The conspiracy theorists in me wants to think the warriors are purposely TRYING to position themselves for the 6th seed. It makes sense to be the 6th seed, since 1) you avoid the play-in tournament, 2) you most likely match up against Sac and Memphis in the first two rounds, both teams whose youth should work against them in the playoffs, and 3) you avoid playing Denver or Suns until the conference finals. If you're the warriors, that's the best path to a Finals return.
The team has played worse with Steph on the floor. Poole especially plays worse with Steph on the floor, also plays worse off the bench and always has. Unfortunately, most of the bench follows Poole's energy. The exception to that is Donte and recently Kuminga.
Depth just ain’t there rn. No Wiggins and they won’t get out of the play in much less the first round. Next year I hope they refocus and start playing stellar defense again
