I thought that parametric CAD involved being able to define object dimensions in terms of other dimensions or parameters so that by changing one or two parameters, the entire model is morphed. Is that called something else ? For example, a trivial example, design a box of dimensions 3' x 4' x 2' of material 1" thick. where all of the object dimensions are numerically referenced to the those dimensions and thickness - not merely manually graphically drawn. Then by changing a reference dimension, all of the associated dimensions are automatically "redrawn".
You right! to control all parameters and interactive design you can use payment plugin like Viz Pro or other softwares like Rhinoceros Grasshopper and Dynamo Revit.
Hello! But do not tell me if there is a plug-in that repeats the contour along the inside of the product. so to speak, that the product had a thickness and less weight. thank
Hi my friend, it is clear that we can't design interactive or change all parameter during in this tutorial , but i think a design processing with various results or amounts, is important and near to parametric difinition ,on the other hand finding this process or algorithm helps us to coding our algorithm in Rhino+Grasshopper or Revit Dynamo and some softwares like those! 😉

good job, thank you

what material is made
I hope you respond to my comment because I am in distress that he tells me the selected object is not a manifold solid
Hi, Yes, it must be solid, so check your object with more precision; sometimes some areas are not covered perfectly and you can fix it manually.
How do you send the files to a CNC router?
you can export your model to 2D dwg . next, prepare surfaces of your model for CNC router.
@@davttv_Archstudio Thanks!
How is this parametric?

thumbs down because of the stupid music 👎
