Hello agents and welcome back to another Division 2 Video. In today's video, I'll be showing you guys a great method for farming new exotics In the Division 2. After the new release of Year 6 Season 1, not only are there faster and more effective ways of farming for the exotics you need in the Division 2, but we also now have new exotics and more content to explore!
But as far as these weekly legendary projects go, it's optional but I wouldn't recommend it. I only recommend completing the SHD weekly project since it's fast and you get an exotic cache once you donate the required material.
Keep in mind that no matter what build you are running, legendary missions on the Division 2 can take a great deal of time to complete. The main materials that you'll need to donate are the receiver components, water, and food. These resources can be found basically all over the map.
This first method of farming exotics is extremely effective, and that's if you compare it to farming for exotics in the Pentco Fairview powerplant countdown mission. So first things first, you're going to need to have the floor 90 checkpoint for the summit mission.
Once you've made it to floor 90 in the summit, pull up your map, return to the lobby, and change the difficulty to heroic. And I recommend doing this floor 90 summit farm on heroic because In the Division 2, playing on a higher difficulty will increase the chances of exotics dropping for you.
I wouldn't recommend it, but if you're feeling brave or if you think you have a great solo PvE build set up for it, you can even do this floor 90 summit farm on legendary difficulty. You can also add whatever directives you can handle if you would like to earn more XP or get more targeted loot drops.
Make sure that you select your targeted loot. If you're trying to get the Saint Elmo's engine exotic AR in the Division 2 for example, you want to have assault rifles selected as your targeted loot, this will increase your chances of getting this weapon to drop for you. In the Division 2, we all know that the quality of loot is determined by the difficulty level.
So another quick method for farming exotics fast is by farming level 4 control points. So what I recommend you do is farm control points in areas that are dropping targeted loot that's relevant for you. So if you are trying to get the iron lung, pestilence, or the bullet king LMGs for example, then find an area on the map dropping light machine guns, and farm the control points in that area.
This is a great way to get exotic weapons and gear that are in the general loot pool on the Division 2. So any enemy you eliminate within this LMG targeted loot area has a chance to drop the bullet king, Iron Lung, or any other exotic LMG in the general loot pool.
If you're a solo player, you should be fine on heroic difficulty, and you will only be getting better-quality loot. As like I mentioned previously, in the Division 2, RNG is a lot better the higher the difficulty. But if you've seen my legendary build videos and have given those builds a try, heroic difficulty should be a piece of cake for you. Again, I'll leave a link to some of those build videos here in the description.

lots of people forget or don’t know about the countdown vendor sell exotic caches. So you can use countdown point to buy the caches. Besides, you get tons of loots to wither quicker to farm your target loots or just destroy them for mats, plus it is thr faster way to level up a piece of gears / weapon proficient rank

I didn't realize there was a count down vendor till this video. I purchased over 40 exotic caches and got all the exotics I wanted. I returned to d2 after taking a few years break and I run count down for all my gear farming. Just wow lol

You can get an exotic cache every week for completing 15 floors in the Summit too (weekly project)! Great content as always!
First time I found this channel and I loved the video. I jumped a few steps forward, but it seemed video forgot to mention you can also get 3 exotic caches on each char, by completing the standard weekly project. So it's 12 additional exotic caches each week if you complete with the 4 chars :)
True, but it will mean you reset floors and have to redo all the way up to level 90, and in the time it takes you to get to level 90 again you're very likely to get 1 or more exotics.
@@Tarvoskemwer that’s not what I mean. You can complete 15 floora weekely which gets you an exotic cache from the weekly Summy project. I know what you’re saying though I barely ever get exotic drops in the summit haha

Summit named bosses is also good for Tactical Assessments. If you farm them in Legendary, you get Black Tusk Assessments, Heroic you get random ones
This video helps. Some of it I know regarding exotic farming and some I did not. I have run over 100 Countdowns on challenging difficulty recently and I have only seen one exotic drop. It was the St. Elmo's Engine. I ran 100 floors of Summit and had one exotic drop. I use targeted loot. Most of my exotics come from the exotic caches I buy from the Countdown vendor. My experience is no method is the fastest because RNG will be RNG. Sometimes exotics rain and other days i don't get a single drop.

Per run (8 chests) I get 2-3 Exo components and you can’t loose them cause you don’t have to extract or fight anything

I got the Ninja Bike and the Iron lung yesterday with Countdown credits inside exotic caches.
Countdown is always best for me it’s also RnG and also doing control point is good to for targeted loot. Summit was never the best way in my experience only for capacitor and bighorn

for exotic components, it's way better to run dz. you can get like 15 ish / hour. i always keep mine around 950-900 exo components.

Farm whatever you want to farm or destroy for material.
Level up weapon proficiency easily.
Finish countdown and use the points to buy exotic caches.
Really can’t beat countdown.

That’s why I stick with it. Summit sucks and is ten times more repetitive. Best farm in my opinion is CD with ARs targeted. I get an Elmos or a chameleon every time almost.

So you've got all the gear piece stats maxed out...I'm not sure how this is done. I can max out one stat (or copy a maxed out stat from another piece )but as soon as I do it the other ones cannot be copied or optimized. What am I doing wrong?
So I’ve been trying to get the iron lung since I missed the season it dropped and cannot seem to get it. Is it true you have to get it from an exotic cache before getting it to drop? Love your videos !
Level 4 Control points seem to be the most consistent for me
My only issue with some of these is the loot pool. If you have never had the exotic you can farm forever and never see that exotic drop. Thats where decent, countdown, weeklies or anythi g that gives the exotic caches. Once you recieve the exotic then you can farm to get said exotic by these methods.

I think you're wrong about the getting exotics from the same project on the different characters. Once you complete a project with your main character, that project will be marked as complete for all other characters. So, there's no quadrupling your exotic cache from SHD Weekly Requistion example. You can only do it once per week, on all characters.
I get exotics on all my characters. I do only the donation project on all my characters. Other projects take to long. I get multi exotic drops on countdown. I chose AR for saint elmos. If I get a good one I’ll drop it to a low level person just to help.

The CP farm has never really worked for me. I play on heroic. I regularly clear control points, and i think ive gotten like 2 exotics lol. I got almost all of my exotics running summit.
But you should get an exotic component for every lvl 4 CP you clear.
Lol no, you definitely do not get an exotic for every control point you capture. You have like a 5% chance of getting an exotic component in the loot chest in the supply room.
@@demonsbreath5329 literally never got an exotic component from running a lvl 4 CP, and I run them often to make sure I have the fast travel points for any other open world content.
Most people are farming for just the exotic components at this point and not specific pieces. If that's your purpose, assault rifles have the largest exotic pool so set AR as target loot and run countdown on challenging. Time to complete is about 15 min vs the ten minutes she suggested for Floor 90 in Summit.
But what you also get is many more drops (therefore more chances for exotics) and a team of eight vs a team of four (in Summit) who may share the item you are looking for. And if that isn't enough you get countdown currency. Two successful runs is enough to buy an exotic cache. Summit offers no such bonus. That is two Summit runs can yield zero exotics but two countdown runs (completed) will give you more ney for an exotic cache - for almost identical times
Is there a list of exotics that are in general exotic loot pool?
I know this video is a couple week old at this point but finally someone that agrees Countdown is terrible for exotics. In all the many countdown runs i have done maybe 1 or 2 produced an exotic. The countdown vendor though...1 to 2 runs and you have enough for an exotic cache. Level 4 CPs are good but i have had my best luck doing bounties...specifically the clan bounties (i think they are an orange/yellow color on your map) and the seasonal pass bounties (light blue color on the map). Another super easy way is the Danny Weaver vendor. Sometimes he offers more than one exotic cache.

You can get it guaranteed from the summit. But it may take some time.
I just need the Dog Tags component. Does the difficulty mattered?

Im gonna be honest great video here because all of these are effective. However, if you're a sweat just go to the Invaded DZ with a group. I usually get about 13 to 15 exotics between all of us per hour. BUT RNG is King lol nothing you can do bout that.
This targeted loot system seems to be busted when it comes to bags or im unlucky AF.
Last week i farmed for Scorpion shotgun and exotic shotguns were raining from the sky.
This week i try to get ninja bag and so far i havent got a single exotic drop? Cleared ascent from 1 to 100 and not a single exotic drop. Something seems to be busted?!

Amazing how ppl totally ignore the resource supply project. Yess its once a week but gotta get what you can, This game is literally rigged to give to some and not others when it comes to gear drops…been that way since day 1 🤷🏽♂️
I have an alt which I boosted to 30. He is level 40 but I only have 5 projects no daily or weeklys
That’s one of the methods it’s all RNG based. For example I max out my cache stash in one hour doing conflict those caches arre legendary quality gear so I get 4-5 exotics doing this plus 20-25 SHD levels and if I concentrate on doing ELIMINATION with my clan it drops to 30 minutes as Elimination gives out the most XP in the entire game 6 million XP for 1st place and 10 downs
Hmm depends on what I don't know but I know that last week I did 60lvl of summit on legendary and I didn't get any exotic except the weekly project and like 2 months ago in 30lvl summit legendary I got 4 exotics.So summit it's not a guarantee exotic.

Beaware You can only get exstra exotic projects on characters made on Sesson 5 but new characters on Sesson 6 dont have them.........
It's the same for Summit. You can do it for each character. So that's 8 Exotics weekly. And they made it easier by making it 15 floors vs the 30 before.

if anyone sees me ingame jump in my game and i usually run all 4 characters thru weekly legendary and doing the shd weekly. I dont care for exotic component so its a free 8 components for whoever joins :)
If you’re trying to farm countdown for random exotic drops, yeah that’s the worst. But if you are using the countdown currency to get exotic cashes, at least that’s a guaranteed method to get unlimited cashes.
I've run hundreds of countdown runs and still haven't had an exotic drop. What's that about?
Target AR’s. Elmo or chameleon drops for me nearly every time I do. Rifles also seem pretty decent. I’m farming it on masks right now cause I accidentally broke down my coyote mask 🤦♂️

I’m trying to get the dark winter
This should make you sick, I have gotten dozens of them in random drops. I run with guys that have never seen one drop for them either. My first one dropped in an event named item cache you buy with your points. After that they started dropping like rain. But I went an entire year grinding for the chatterbox and never got one after following every guide! I complained to the devs and they laughed at me saying it is all RNG. I call BS on that one! To this day I have never had one personally drop anywhere at level 6745! RNG my ass. Finally got one when our clan leader had one drop in group just to find out they were worthless anyways. Says he gets them all the time.

They only nerfed to where you cannot reset the boss loot by respawning and farm the boss. Now you will need to return to lobby to reset it.

Summit is BORING! In Countdown, just stack up on countdown points and purchase 20 of Exotic Caches. Do it over and over again. It will help you in the long run than these methods. 😎

You can get up to 10 exotic every 60min in dz
you can but then get ganked from extraction lol
Exotic components maybe but not drops. I and my friends live in the DZ and can get an average of 3 to 4 components on box runs IF we get all 11 boxes in East when noone is there to compete with. An exotic drops once in a blue moon from an NPC kill more from killing random but not 10+ an hour with any regularity.
This has been patched, each time you kill the named boss, and then sacrifice yourself the named boss will not drop any loot the subsequent times

Most Countdown players are solo. You just matchmake and run with randoms.

As a change, these methods are fine, but Countdown is still a more consistent method of getting exotics because you can purchase an exotic cache from the Countdown vendor.

I don’t see why anybody would avoid heroic it’s pretty easy once you get a basic build say striker with a shield and a decent ar with reviver hive and you are good to go. Don’t even need exotics honestly get a picaro holster 4 pieces of striker and add a PS for that 10% armor, then use the gunner for another 10% and every enemy you down gets you 20% armor back. It is easy no reason to be scared at all.
I got a good build for heroic but I get kicked from most lobbies because of my level
@@sackhead504 I mean unless you are like sub 100 I don't see most people kicking unless it's a raid or legendary mission. but then again, I'm like 3500 so I can't really tell you what's normal any longer.
I basically solo all heroic content missions everything only stuff I group up on is legendary and raids.
if you are low level what i would do is grind the area south of the Whitehouse where you get all the hostage quests and stuff those can net you around 10 levels an hour.
Division 2 is doing its best to ensure no one plays this game. The RNG is so loathsome. It hates its player base. The game is on the precipous of dying 💯. Why not adjust RNG to make 13% protection from elites, or general loot exotics drop at a slightly higher rate. I have been farming for a week now. Countdown, Summit, Heroic Check Points. Nothing. If I were a new Level 40 I would ghost this time suck. I keep playing cause I am a masochist.
