However "morbid" this story about the soldiers may be, it hit hard and showed me why I am where I am right now. I wanted to say thank you.. So far you are the only one I've come across that hits this hard with the truth (or I'm just exploring the wrong alleys) but you SPIT TRUTH! HATS OFF!
This is some really good advise Charlie what I would ad on top of this to find the one thing you hate is to implement the 80/20 rule. Other than that great video! Your videos have helped me in many ways thank you!
so true ive jsut started a smma Agency and have yet to start cold calls but i had done it previously at virgin media and i know how hard it was so getting myself prepared mentally
Yeah I was aware how hard it is. I have been avoiding outreach. But I am learning ever day. My friend as a business and once I bring lots of customers to his business then I’ll feel more confident to do the outreach. It’s just the way I learn.
Cold outreach is the most painful thing for most people because they fear the rejection or crickets! Taking LEVERAGED actions matters a lot here too, pain aside.

How do you set up your cold calling phone to call US businesses while you are in the UK? Do you use an US phone number and how much does it cost roughly to outreach 200 businesses a day?

Hey Charlie (or anyone who wants to answer), in all the marketing communities on Reddit they all kind of make fun of people who try to start an agency with no experience and say that you should intern and work at an agency for a few years before you start your own. This discouraged me since I want to start an agency (with zero experience or technical background). I’ve watched your videos and you seem to make it clear it’s better to start and learn as you go, but I’m wondering if this is just wishful thinking and if it’s actually possible or worth doing without any prior experience. Would love to hear what you think of this. Love your videos
I am struggling with this myself, any approach works and brings you to the finish line, it's just how you choose to do SMMA. Even Charlie had worked for another agency in the past so there's no right or better way

Choose one, give it time and don't get frustrated after 2 months because it "didn't" work and learn from that. I guarantee that you will be doing something completely unexpected, like a third choice as oppose to these 2.
Whatshould I do when I don’t have any testimonials because I’m a beginner? My idea is to To offer money, back guarantee And refund the money when the client is unhappy with the results
Do pay per result and as soon as you get them result (in other words they get a dopamine hit coz their business is improving) ask them for a testimonial. You can get ez 3-5 testimonials if u know what u r doing
Charlie how do I get good at talking on the phone during cold calls? I either sound like a robot reading my script or a used car salesmen and it pushes away prospects. Any tips?
Practice. For real there’s nothing more powerful than that to get the right tone and the right intensity. Do a 100 cold calls every day for a month and i swear you will never sound like a robot again ;)
