@@HeadShotMGOO it actually was a Man, the Abbott himself, who invented it for his Niece who lived in the Eastern Shaolin Temple. His Niece was the only female living there, so he created a martial art to keep her safe from anyone who would try to make a sexual move on her. It became popular after the East Temple was attacked, by the Wudan empire (someone else plz correct me if I'm wrong) which forced the Abbots niece to flee, where she had to use wing Chun to survive her traveling

Stranger from Shaolin deserves to be in the top 10. It had one of the best lines in a movie ever when the Shaolin monk responded to the main heroine when she was at her breaking point and contemplated suicide:

Love the top three.Saw Warriors Two at the classic cinema in Nottingham in 1980 and Prodigal Son at the same place in 1983.All night kung fu movie shows.Prodigal son was Yuen Biao at his absolute best.

The bare knuckle fights ON THE TABLE ( The Prodigal Son ) and the 6.5 point long pole for targeting the foot ( Warriors Two ). Exactly. I also like how they use the traditional Leung Jan Wing Chun style complete with circular strikes staying true to form. Later Ip Man would streamline the style down much further

Very authentic with Wing Chun. Another great example of the art is the movie "Kung Fu Wing Chun (2010)". I want to mention about the most recent Ip Man 4. That was propaganda for the Chinese Communist Party, and said some very incorrect things about America and our Armed Forces. I am completely dumbfounded Donnie Yen took the role in that latest installment of the franchise!
It is a known fact Ip (Yip) Man NEVER stepped foot in America! And he fought against the Chinese Communist Party. If you know the details of Bruce Li (Lee), he was also against the Chinese Communist Party, who mistreats their own people, as well as always trying to indoctrinate cultures with their communism, including in America! They own the AMC entertainment movie theater business.
That ought to tell you a lot! Ip Man 1 and 2 were the best. 3 was ok, but an obvious excuse to put in Mike Tyson. That just got carried away and took away from the actual story of the real Ip (Yip) Man.
