    The thing that always puzzled me was when people say, "older people start losing muscle mass as they age"
    What about people who are older that don't workout period? They're loosing muscle they never physically worked hard to build to begin with

    The question is why do people who start out physically active stop doing so and become sedentary and fat.

      Michael_M easy answer. It’s hard work to keep doing it. Arthritis can start to set in, meaning a change in type exercise is required. When you leave work it can take away a drive to go out and do things even if you have more time to do it. Loneliness can be a ‘thing’ in your life, especially if you leave a sociable job. Paying money at the gym could be a deterrent. A government funded “health care” gym membership and small or larger group training, may be more beneficial than the very expensive “sick care” currently provided. Sociability plus exercise can only be a bonus.

    Why do bodybuilders look older than their age? Is over-exercise blamed for?

    • @nahom1318
      @nahom1318 3 года назад +4

      Because most of them are so lean that they don't have fat around their faces and neck.. making them look very old
