Tati is def one of the premier vocalist in metal today. The rest of the band is equally amazing too. Two of my favorite tracks from them are Retrospection and Home Back which involve the struggles of growing up in Ukraine and conflicts the region has been experiencing. Also, if you want a killer live performance Perennial at the Wacken open air festival is a great pick. All that being said, as someone who feels invested in your metal journey, I’d kindly like to suggest Nightwish- Ghost Love Score at Wacken and Unleash The Archers- Tonight We Ride. Another two bands with amazing frontwomen that are a bit less heavy on the metal scale lol.

@@-theeddieshow- I 100% agree with the above comment. Nightwish is absolutely amazing. Definitely my favorite band. The song suggested above is an excellent starting point. I only started listening to Unleash the Archers recently but they are definitely a band you should checkout. Brittany the lead singer has an amazing voice.
      I'd also suggest:
Epica - Kingdom of Heaven part 3 from the Omega Alive concert.
Epica - Skeleton Key from the same concert
      Lacuna Coil - Delirium
Lacuna Coil - Blood, Dust, Tears from the 514 concert
Blackbriar - My Souls Demise official music video
In the US we are generally accustomed to most metal bands having male lead vocals. But in Europe it is more common to have female lead vocals in metal.
      Nightwish - Finland - Floor
Epica - The Netherlands - Simone
Lacuna Coil - Italy - Christina and Andre share lead so one female and one male lead
Unleash the Archers - Canada - Brittney
      Jinjer - Ukraine - Tatiana
      Blackbriar - ??? - Zora

I for one love it when people think they know what they're going to get with this song. :D This is exactly the version to watch first. The concert videos of Pisces are okay but struggle with the dynamic range as the light vocals tend to get lost in the mix. Generally though they have some incredible concert videos, like Perennial live at Wacken and Who Is Gonna Be The One, both relatively old but good next steps. Too many to try to name them all though. Subbed. Cheers!

The recording is slightly edited and lies between live and studio. The jazzy sound makes Jinjer unique. At the beginning they were more metalcore like Electric Callboy, but today they are melodic death metal.
The band was formed in 2008 in Donetsk, eastern Ukraine. The following year they lost their first founder, the singer, and Tatiana Shmailyuk initially took over the microphone temporarily. They will lose all other founders by 2015. That's why they now call 2009 the year they were founded.
In 2014 they fled the civil war to western Ukraine. In 2017, the international breakthrough came with Pieces. When Russia attacks Ukraine in 2022, the band is in Kiev and helps defend the city on the civilian side. Since then, there has been a general mobilization and no man of military age is allowed to leave the country. The band has an exemption and is collecting money for Ukraine on the tour.
The usual compensation is symphonic metal:
NIGHTWISH - Ghost Love Score (OFFICIAL LIVE)
    ruclips.net/video/JYjIlHWBAVo/видео.html
    Growl tutorial:
Easy and Safe Metal Screaming Tutorial (Beginner Level)
And this is what one of their bands sounds like:

Jinger is incredible. Tatiana is a vocal beauty and beast. She's so captivating. She has taught herself to use whats called (false vocal cords) to make the harsh vocals safety. Otherwise it would be impossible to switch between clean and harsh/heavy vocals quickly without the voice cracking and damaging the true vocal cords.
Definitely check out Perennial live at Wacken pronounced (Vaw-ken) as it's in Germany. Hope you also check out Teacher Teacher official video and Judgement and Punishment Tatiana's one take vocal performance version.
The list goes on. With Jinjer I suggest having the lyrics on had before the reaction.
The songs are all unique and are even better once you understand the meaning behind the lyrics. Enjoy!

I'm in my 50's and have been a huge Jinjer fan for about 4 years now. I was never a fan of this type of music. I always assumed it was a bunch of screaming to hide the lack of talent. And then I began researching how she's able to produce that sound and then flawlessly transition back to her cleans. She uses her ventricular folds to produce the growls. If you've ever forced yourself to burp, you've used your false folds. You can do irreparable damage to your vocal cords if you do this wrong. Tatiana is on another level - years of training and discipline. She isn't the only female who does this but in my opinion she is the best!

Apart from Tatiana here, there are countless other female vocalists out there who can switch between different styles just as effortlessly, which is a recent (10- years) development within metal that I'm so much enjoying right now 💞

Honest reaction it seems, good for you 👍👊
    I like 👌
I've been listening to metal for about 36 years now.
I'll recommend "Wintersun" - "Loneliness" or "Time".
"Time" you can find live in studio.
Also "Belakor" - "Countless skies" or "Outlive the hand".
Both bands are awesome and also fairly new for me.
Sidenote.. anything "Gojira" is metal 😉

I would suggest checking out JINJER - Who Is Gonna Be The One (Live) | Napalm Records. This video really shows Tatiana's amazing stage presence and ability., along with Roman, Eugene, and Vladislav, they are all amazing musicians.

Funny how you got in a trance, right? The song switches time signatures but melodically sways in a hypnotizing 7/8 count. Coincidentally, “Pisces” sways in a wave-like rhythm of the ocean. And y’all just got JINJERED. ✌🏼

Hey guys, great reaction. Just wanted to clarify that this is Progressive Death Metal, not screamo 😅 Screamo has kinda become a bit of a catch-all phrase for people that don't normally listen to heavy music to describe any music that involves harsh vocals, but Screamo as a genre is actually a relatively small one that was extremely popular in the mid 2000s. I felt the need to clear that up, I'm not mocking or angry, it's just a pet peeve of mine 😂.
Putting my petty nonsense aside though, I'd love to introduce you to some of the other superb female fronted/all female rock/metal bands from around the world, so here's some requests/suggestions:
Sicksense - Feed Em To The Wolves
Otep - Smash The Control Machine
Butcher Babies - They're Coming To Take Me Away
    Reliqa - The Halfway Point
    Marmozets - Move, Shake, Hide
Queen Adreena - Pretty Like Drugs
    Red Handed Denial - Empire
    Nemophila - Adabana
    Lovebites - Judgement Day
Hanabie - Pardon Me, I Have To Go Now
    Band-Maid - Unleash
Broken By The Scream - Sayonara Birthday
Gacharic Spin - Kachi Kachi Yama
It's a pretty varied selection of bands with different styles and nationalities (the last 6 are Japanese and 5/6 of those are all female bands. Seriously, the rock/metal scene in Japan right now is the best in the world and it's largely dominated by women. Awesome to see it happening).
Anyway, post is too long now, but I hope you'll check some of these out. Peace, love and metal, my friends ✌️🤟

Love Jinger, but some other reactions you may like (or not) are Sabaton (pretty much anything, but Christmas Truce, 1916, No Bullets Fly or Night Witches are good starts) and Nightwish (normally Ghost Love Score at Wacken to start with).

I loved your reaction to this, they're a really talented band.
Jinjer are a band from the Ukraine, the members are:
    Tatiana on Vocals,
    Eugene is the Bassist,
    Roman on Guitar,
    Vlad is the Drummer.
Tracks to check out by them are; 'Perennial' live at Wacken Open Air Festival from 2019, 'Judgement (and Punishment)' Tatiana's One-Take Vocal version, 'Tracher Teacher' the official music video, 'On The Top' and 'Pit of Consciousness' both live in Kiev, 'Vortex' the official music video, there are many others but these are great ones to start with.

This is known as a "false-fold" technique, and one of the premier instructors of this technique is Melissa Cross. If you liked this, try Alyssa Gluz-White of Arch Enemy.

"The most metal voice" - all the love to Tatjana, but I think you should listen to Angela Gossow, the former singer for Arch Enemy. Check out "Nemesis" or "We will Rise", or better yet, Revolution Begins.

Tatiana is a fantastic guttural vocalist with superb range. I've seen them four times (so far, there will be more), and they are much better live, and it is 100% all Tatiana at the mic. Also, as good as she is, Tatiana is not unique; Alissa White Gluz (and before her, the seminal Angela Gossow) of Arch Enemy, Melissa Bonny of Ad Infinitum (and other projects), Courtney LaPlante of Spiritbox and Marion Bascoul of Aephanemer are among other notable female harsh vocalists, and Alissa has a range comparable to Tatiana when she displays it (she did much more with her earlier band Agonist). In the US, the band Vintersea, fronted by Avienne Low, utilises harsh vocals, they are not a huge act, but they can rock hard.
Finally, the incomparable Floor Jansen can and does occasionally unleash her harsh vocals (because why not, there is nothing she can't do vocally).

Since you asked, "screamo" is not metal, but a sub genre of Emo music. What Tatiana is doing is called a death metal growl and it is performed by using her vestibular folds, not the vocal chords. This is why singers like Tati can cut from clean singing to growls and back again with no obvious strain. There are tons of good videos for Jinjer if you want to continue with them. I'm sure there are lots of comments already with suggestions.
"Pisces" is apparently number 2 in the most reacted to song on RUclips. Are you ready to try number 1? It's also metal, but totally different from Jinjer. "Ghost Love Score" by Nightwish: ruclips.net/video/JYjIlHWBAVo/видео.html. Nightwish is a symphonic metal band from Finland. As the name suggests, they mix metal instruments and music with a backing track performed by the London Philharmonic Orchestra. Their lead singer can sound like Amy Lee, or Sarah Brightman, or an operatic soprano, or Lzzy Hale, or Tatiana depending on what the song requires. In this song she shifts from a musical theatre voice, to opera, to rock distortion.

I wish I had a reaction video of myself the first time I saw this video a year ago. It honestly changed my life. What was I doing before I heard Pisces? I was stuck in the past. Jinjer totally revolutionized my view of modern metal. I never enjoyed harsh vocals before. Could never understand them, except for Disturbed. I wasn't into hardcore.
One listen to Jinjer and I was a goner. They're on a different level from most bands. The more you learn, the more you'll fall in love. There's just nothing not to love about this band.
They just finished a huge tour days ago, so you'll have to wait to see them live. It's a must-see. You'll have many recommendations for live videos, and they're all great. You'll have marshalled your own disbelief by the time you see them live lol. Few bands can bring the level of intensity and precision that Jinjer does live.
Now hardly a day goes by without me listening to more than one Jinjer song. I habitually have Pisces reaction videos with my coffee in the morning. I've seen them twice in less than a year. They're a part of my daily life. The soundtrack of my own little dramedy. I had been musically adrift since Rush retired in 2015, I think. But now I have a new favorite band, and all is right with the world again.
Enjoy your Jinjer journey! The rabbit hole is deep. Like a black hole, really... or a vortex...
