Zero waste living not only helps the environment but it can mean there is less plastic to be disposed of all round. Some of the processes zero waste and sustainable living involve often mean another pay off is that our homes are clutter-free too.
What better incentive to live a less waste or imperfect zero waste lifestyle. Living by the coast I get to see first hand what happens when plastic waste is improperly disposed of and ends up in the sea. In this video I would like to discuss alternatives and some of the measures that can be taken to make sure this doesn't happen. How we can even recycle when not in our home town.

I drafted a bored young bloke on our street to be a Neighborhood Litter Officer. I announced it on our town fb group, the whole town gave him tuzzahs, and he was really proud. So it was a win win.

Wow how lovely! Fin the fish is a brilliant idea! Thank you for showing us round. I try to buy as little plastic wrapped stuff as possible. However, the supermarkets in my very small town do not make it easy.😢

Oh there are positive and negatives to everywhere 😂 it has all the negatives of a town (noise) but is actually quite far away from any major airport or city. So you’re sort of rural but not, it’s bizarre 😂 I want all or nothing 😂 🏔️ it is beautiful though. 🌊 very historical. Especially for writers and shipping. 😊 ❤️

@Amyavalon1844 yes the sea is a beautiful noise but boy oh boy is tourist season a logistical hassle. The old town just can’t accommodate all the vehicles. With no parking etc. I am grateful every day for the positive things 😊 ❤️
@@SagelifeMinimalism I hear you. I used to live in a famous tourist town in Wisconsin and it would quadruple in size in the summer. Hard to get around. And then I lived in a tourist town in northern Michigan right next to one of our Great Lakes. The difference between summer and winter was astounding. It was so incredibly quiet in the cold winter months… which made it great to go inward, and also pour through gardening catalogs 😄, deciding what I wanted to plant in the spring. Lots of snow, with lots of quiet. Ahhh! Bliss! 😁 For me anyhow.

Hi. My family and i visit your town but unfortunately that means we contribute to tourism in your area. Im sorry for that.we just camped for 3 weeks in the nearby forest, but every time i come tk your town,, its so busy i wonder how the people who live there cope with it all. Fin the fish is good as it can really start the conversation about waste with children who are growing up in a very wasteful era. I can agree the donkeys are well looked after. ❤ we went on the tram ride this summer, such an impressive con̈structuon. ❤
It’s ok 😊 I know economy relies on tourist industry. For many people it’s their income. And I too have been a tourist. It does require a test in patience though 😂 for the 3 months a year there is no parking, lots of rubbish, loud busy cafes, and even the local grocery shops running out of stock 😂 I think the town just doesn’t have the infrastructure to cope with it. There is a lot of history though. I can see why people want to come ❤️
