Funny enough. Im a mechanical engineer with a masters in thermofluids. After working for a year in the aviation industry im considering sales engineering exactly for the reasons you meant. I just like business managment haha. It sounds fun and interesting enough

This video is incredible, I have just finished my junior year of Electrical Engineering and I have always describes my dream role as being able to work with people and use my technical knowledge and extroverted personality to help me in this. Would you have any recommendations for a student looking to join the Industry as I have only had a couple internships but mostly in Engineering roles rather than sales however I have 4 years experience working in hospitality so I’d like to think I have some people skills.
There are some areas that are not covered. Who would be handling the quotations and prices and rfp rfi ? What about post sales, are the SE still involved in that portion, do they have to provide support? How are SEs different from product managers in a bigger company and smaller company?
