Nature Talks: Canadian Sea Turtles

Watch our June 4th 2024 Nature Talk where we were honoured to have Kathleen Martin, Executive Director of the Canadian Sea Turtle Network (CSTN) present on Sea Turtles! Sea Turtles are marine reptiles that have existed for over 150 million years! There are seven species of sea turtles, including green, loggerhead, kemp's ridley, and leatherback. These four sea turtles feed seasonally in Canadian waters. Under the Species at Risk Act, the Loggerhead and Leatherback Sea Turtles are legally protected and listed as endangered. The CSTN (Canadian Sea Turtle Network) primarily studies Leatherback Sea Turtles, the world's largest sea turtles!
