The memories you're creating & the time spent with your dad are worth more than any car ... I've always said, car culture is more about the relationships you build through the hobby , than the cars you own along the way .
You guys make a great team. Your dad is teaching you and leaving behind a legacy you should be proud of. That car is a piece of history that is as invaluable as your dad since he built it and drove it as a young man. I hope this car is in your family for a very long time. Good job on the video.
Love anything Bad news! This car is one of my favorite hotrods and has inspired me to build my own. Great to see get some attention. Looking forward to seeing it on the road again.
Great vid! This brought back memories of me and my Dad in the summer of '75, he had me take out and reinstall the tranny to a 63 Triunph Spitfire probably 20 times before it was right. I learned to drive a clutch in that car. He had to know I was taking it out for joyrides when he was at work... I was 14 years old that summer!
It's crazy how life & other projects get in the way of the original project vehicle. I guess that's one of the down sides of having multiple vehicles. My son has a 51 International p/u we brought back from New Mexico in 2013. We've made a lot of progress over the years (Corvette C4/C5 front frame stub & coilover suspension, set back 383 SBC, T56 trans, Moser 3rd Gen Camaro rear diff with coilovers, Brembo brakes on all 4 corners with huge wheels & tires to fill those big fenders, almost forgot about the 57 Chevy car dash) but other projects keep taking priority. As long as I get a ride in it before my time runs out, I will be a happy Old Man. Thank you for sharing an Awesome video!
I have that season of "rides" on dvd, one of my favorite episodes and the special features has an interview with Robert Williams. Its great to see this car coming back to life again!
Hey, when your dad gets his hot rod done! You guys should cruise out to Pismo Beach CA, too cars and coffee. Every Saturday from 7am - 9am! I like to check out your rides
Hey Ben! Always excited to see your videos, and I'll never get tired of seeing Bad News. There's nothing about that car I don't dig. I've been wondering what tailights are those? Are they early Dodge Dart or Plymouth Valiant or something like that? Anyway, keep it up Brother
You have great production values and pacing.....film student??? My youngest son and I did lots of car work together before he had to move 6 hours away.....miss that.

My favorite thing about “Bad News” is the story behind it, absolutely love the photo of Aaron as a boy next to body of the car.
He used to be pretty small haha
@@FourSpeedFilms
What size is the Olds?
I can’t believe you missed the opportunity to climb inside the car and say “HOT WOD”!
Love anything Bad news! This car is one of my favorite hotrods and has inspired me to build my own. Great to see get some attention. Looking forward to seeing it on the road again.
There's no better sound like the rattle of a jack stand when you're pulling them out of a "finished" car! 😂👏

That's pretty cool. I remember when the car was being built years ago and your dad posted pictures of it on the Hamb message board a long time ago.
Watched it being built on the show "Rides". Probably my favorite "hot rod" video of all time.
Cool music and lots of cool history on the walls...
That is the easiest clutch job I’ve ever seen 😂 who ever built the car did a great job 👍

Good video Ben! You and your dad working on his car is everything. 🏁👍

I’d be buying a click torque wrench if I was you guys. I have 3 needle type and never use them. At least you have no floor which makes it easier.
I recall R&C mag in the late 60's doing some tests comparing real accuracy of torque wrenches and the needle type turned out to be the most accurate..
You guys made that look easy, good job!
Wow. Doesn't seem like 2 years. Time fly's.
Always enjoying your videos but especially the father and son ones. Awesome vibes man keep it up
Much appreciated
Looking good!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Sweet old Hotrod👍🏻🔥🔥🔥
😎
Could just skip the floor pans & Fred Flintstone it. Can't wait to see it completed.

Bendy torque wrench ftw!
I thought I was the only person in the world still using a beam torque wrench.
You have great production values and pacing.....film student???

@@FourSpeedFilms You'll go far....just don't leave the car hobby!!! My next visit to SoCal I'll say HEY! (grew up in Whittier)

Wow how much are you torquing those flywheel bolts to! That's quite a lot of torque haha
We just didn’t have leverage laying down haha
@@FourSpeedFilms a shorter extention would have made it less difficult.
Bad News is sick. What’s the wheel/tire package on it? I wouldn’t mind a similar setup on my ‘27 3 window coupe
Cool episode! Makes me want a hot rod real bad
Heck yeah!
Thanks!
You got a Spotify playlist with the music?? If not you should make one. Lo
What. !x! …no vintage cast iron Ansen N.H.R.A. Blow proof Bell housing ??? C’mon fellas 😎… totally Rad scene anyway ! 👀👍🏼

I think this would look awesome if you made it a roadster
Love the videos...would love it even more to put some sheet metal in there and get rid of the Fred Flinstone vibes.

Just Saw “bad news” titel and thinking oh no whats broken new.. oh it’s about bad news😂
