Man it feels like ages since we've been able to see some excellent IMSA action. Thanks everyone for allowing us to watch! I'll take IMSA over any series whether that be American or European or International. I just love the caliber of drivers and they consistently deliver edge of your seat action in each class!

I was there for the qualifying and the race. The Cadillacs are always the loudest thing the entire weekend

I love this series .its better to watch than f1 witch i feel gets very boring now
..its totally different. It would be more fair to compare it to WEC
If Corvette is introducing a C8 Hybrid for 2022 release with a 147 hp electric drive up front and 495 hp 2LT engine in the middle they should consider striping the road car interior and running it in the GTD / GTD PRO classes while Corvette prepares and tests the C8R GTD PRO Car for the ISAM 2023 season. An off the shelf 2022 Corvette Hybrid racing in GTD/GT3 specification would really show the Corvette versatility to field a second class of GT racing success!

Can someone explain me why there is a qualifying for gtd and then a qualifying for gtd AND gtlm ?
There is a qualifying session for POINTS and then there is a qualifying session for POSITION on the grid.

I only hope corvette detune their car a bit and join the gt3 club for the next years, getting pretty boring with them only racing 1-3 other cars in their class

@@advaitkhadgi7171 in the WEC, the two GTE(GTLM) classes, GTE Pro and GTE am. GTE Pro is where you find your factory teams and such like Corvette Racing. GTE AM is where you find customer teams that are allowed to have amateur drivers; I'm not fully sure about FIA driver licenses and such but basically theres like 3 different classes of licenses, bronze, silver, and gold or something. I'm pretty sure that too race in GTE-Am you have to have a bronze or silver driver in the lineup. So WEC teams that race in GTE Am or Pro can also race in the WeatherTech Sportscar Championship, and vice versa.
The WeatherTech Porsche is only doing the endurance races for IMSA and I believe they are doing the full season in the WEC(dont quote me on that). Hope that helps

Street tracks suck for bumps
I think it's cool, so long it doesn't pose a safety risk (a track obviously shouldn't have potholes for example). Like at Sebring it gives the track some character and poses a challenge in setting up the cars for something other than a perfectly flat track surface. But that's just me.

Perhaps you are unaware but the other manufacturers are only running the Endurance Cup events. Also, IMSA is moving to GTD PRO class next year rather than GTLM.
The viewing stinks at this track signs everywhere, never go! Watch it on the tube.
I happened to just take a walk around the facility to check out the fan viewing areas. I thought they were excellent.
