I don't think he was genuinely claiming that the bland menu was the sole reason for the poor results on the pitch. They were kind of having a joke that Rushden decided to run with. Bent was only originally stating that when Managers come in and make drastic changes, it doesn't always go down well. He used the menu changes as an example. Relax lol.

My take from that is that it was the players fault. The manager came in and improved the diet of the players but the players had a bad attitude about it and downed tools.
Additionally I think Juande Ramos was one of many examples of a manager not being given enough time with more time I think he could have been a success; Spurs were too good to stay in the position they were whether that be with Juande Ramos as manager or Harry Redknapp as manager.
