Nice video - Games list is solid!! So many classics. Just needs ‘Emergency Call Ambulance’ to sit alongside Crazy taxi. That game is a lot of fun and perfect for the yoke. Can’t wait to get this mid kit!
I bought this mod for my cab…. and it delivers. It took a good two hours to set everything up… But follow the directions online step-by-step. I was mostly excited about playing crossbow and spy Hunter… But there’s a ton of other games on here that I haven’t even explored. Like a couple hundred. So cool.
It’s a great addition to this cabinet so much to play, it does take time to install and a little pricey but in the end I’d do it all over. Thank you for watching 👊
Very cool game lineup and nice job at showing some games man. It still won't convince me to mod my 2019 Atari Star Wars standup A1up though. lol They just really nailed it with the flashing when you lose shields in the original games. But for sure I want to get a GRS Star Wars yoke, a set of handlebars and a custom gear shift with a button for my PC modded Ridge Racer custom sit down A1up though!
I know, it would be like me modding my X-Men I couldn’t :) I wanted those shooters and fought games on SW even racing games! I could part with RR if I absolutely had to and wouldn’t miss a thing. Your custom sit down will be awesome and your T2 flight cab :)

Great video! I love Buy Stuff Arcades. Have gotten artwork from them and I have the Ridge Racer kit. However, Star Wars hold a ton of nostalgia for me and the only way I'd do this mod is if I bought a second Star Wars cab.
I get it completely QuarterDeckArcade, the difference from the RR / Outrun games we got on last mod is the 3 SW on this are the Arcade roms they play great. I will miss the light speed when selecting a game, but really excited to have all of these games. Thanks for watching man 👊

I have the Ridge Racer cab and bought the BSA mod in late spring. It's fantastic. I don't have the Star wars cab, but actually considered buying it when I heard BSA was coming out with this mod & Arcade1up was re-releasing this cab. I just didn't know if it was worth spending another $500 on a cab, and then another $300 approx for this mod when many games would overlap the RR. Are the flight games that great? Of course BSA must have really expanded this as I didn't know it had HOD, T2, Aliens etc. Wow. I'm kinda maxed at 10 cabs anyways, in my home office. Then there is my wife, who doesn't share my passion of arcades. Lol. I don't think I can convince her I need to spend $800. Lol. I'm already planning the ALP 4k next year. Than I'm really maxxed. Great video and great cab to mod. Enjoy!
Hi Eric, the flight games are really good and there’s more Arcade roms on SW than we got on RR. The shooting games were a huge selling point for me, I’m pressed with space too I could always sell my T2 because it plays great on SW. My gf doesn’t share the same enthusiasm either lol we have to be more selective nowadays :) 4k interests me too, TC and SF2 deluxe. There’s so much coming out that these mods will help us with space. Hey 3 Jacks On Derek, I’m still loving this mod actually played some Daytona last week. It’s such a value to a racing cab, you do get a few flight and shooter games on SW than RR, Outrun and now F&F. The yoke steers so good I won’t mod my F&F. It’s pricey around 300-400, but it’s like getting an entirely new arcade. Good to hear from you man, Happy New Year!
@PDX7 I sold my original A1Up Starwars because I knew a new A1up version was coming, also at some point we should see Starwars XL too. Waiting for Walmart to go to $299 Starwars and it will happen at some point.
I thought of that too, if I did this mod and A1up comes out with a Deluxe or Pro I’ll leave that to stock. SW is one of the first arcades I’ll go right up to at a free play, we should see this ‘23 cab drop when we get XL.
Nice kit! Might have to pick one up from mine. I’m on the fence with selling my first gen Star Wars cab and getting the newer version. If I can get the right price for mine. Not sure what they’re worth right now.
@@PDX7 Will keep an eye out for that sale, thanks for the heads up! Grabbed the class of 81 recently from there when it was around $430 and then added a 10% off. Have registered a few times on wayfair with a different email each time to get that 10% off for these 1Ups. Almost went for that galaga deluxe but $630 seems too steep, so class of 81 for around $375 seemed to be the better deal. Got galaga on one side at least and a big fan of ms pacman. That class of 81 cab stands out, but galaga deluxe is sweet too. It was one or the other for me. Got an atgames legends ultimate mini running coinopsx with over 7,000 games, but it’s more about the cabinet, accuracy, feel and artwork for me. One of the reasons I had to grab dragons lair from arcade 1Up. People always say I can play dragons lair on every platform known to mankind, but I think they’re missing the whole point. I guess if you didn’t play it in the arcades like some of us did, you wouldn’t understand why we need the actual cabinet haha. Think I have it on Blu-ray, switch and the DS.
Great video. I did the mod last week myself and love it. Im using thrustmaster pedals but am thinking about buying the bsa pedals and using the thrustmaster for fast and furious. The networking feature also worked flawlessly with the bsa gaming box and alu.
That’s great Chris! It’s the best kit from buystuff yet, I didn’t know it also worked with ALU that’s huge! Thrustmaster would be awesome for F&F, I’m completely happy with buystuffs they’re good. Will you get the F&F mod?
Yeah i have the 1st edition racing box hooked up to an alu with a thrustmaster t150 and bsa mount/riser. I feel they have improved with the star wars mod. I will have to see what games they have to offer on the f&f mod but i am a big fan of buystuff so it's definitely a possibility. I must admit despite the controversy I really enjoy the f&f 1up. I do wish the deluxe was a few inches taller though. I hit up bsa about a riser for it but they are still trying to figure that one out.
I agree there’s something different about SW mod and my RR, it just feels better plus there’s so many new games. I like F&F too, I said that as crazy as this sounds I prefer A1up to the actual F&F arcade. It’s a simple pedal to metal game, there’s some interesting new titles coming to F&F that might tempt me to get.
Hi Phil, to be honest, I would hate to mess with my Star Wars cab, but this mod has me convinced. The Ridge Race mod really didn't sell me, I would hate to lose my original game list and not have them on the mod. I more than likely will would get the Star Wars mod, I like the fact it comes with the extended riser, so I won't damage the original riser, I'm game.... By the way, I talked to Dan yesterday. He is doing well.

Hi Bones, I believe the actual arcade roms like T2 and Paperboy because I entered my initials when I died. N64, PlayStation, Dreamcast and PSP doesn’t look like it saves. I’ll check it out after Arcades Anonymous tonight and confirm, but I think just the shooters and flight games. Bones you’ll love this mod :)

I’ll have to check to see if APB is on there, Spy Hunter music is the original but doesn’t start until the game starts to play a little bit of a delay.

Yes, they play great unlike our Outrun / RR these are the arcade roms. I took them out I thought video was too long, Mike it’s really good :) HOTD 2 takes some getting used to, but the rest of the shooters are unbelievable!
I've got the Star Wars 40th Anniversary cabinet and I'm initially reluctant to modify it as this may be the last Star Wars cabinet Arcade1Up release. Once you have done the Buy Stuff Arcades modification, do you still have the original three Star Wars games that came with the cabinet on the new play list. Also, if you load up the Star Wars game, does it still play in attract mode as it would have done the arcades.
Hi Peter, yes you get both of the 3 original games and they all will do track mode. You can always eBay your SW pcb and get something to put towards the Buystuff mod.

@PeterSimpson666 dude Thank you :) I really appreciate it my Friend 👊 be careful these things are addictive and can be crazy expensive:) RR mod adds so much to the cab, in my opinion unless you want to link the 2 so you can race against someone you only need to mod 1 of them if it’s just you. SW played so well with flight yoke I sold my RR to buy Time Crisis.
It certainly is addictive, I'm now looking at a Star Wars pinball machine plus the soft mod that allows you to load up all thirty Arcade1Up pinball games. Already done a few light modifications to my Tron and MVC2 cabinets, will have to upload a couple of arcade video's to my channel; RetroAtticMancave ;-)
I like this cab as is, but I definitely want to get the Ridge Racer one. I don’t really care to much for those games. I just wanted a racing cab for variety

Oh man this is Awesome! I just bought a SW off of FB market place for the SOLE intention of this mod. I can not wait to get this mod!! If I utilize my own speakers, I dont need an amp correct (Logitech z313)? How are the pedals? Lastly in Hydro Thunder, have you figured out how to make the boats jump?
I think so, your audio will work if you use Logitech instead of stock. It’s easier for me to use their amp :) pedals are awesome! I was blown away when I tried them the first time, I just know off the ramp I haven’t played Hydro a bunch yet was playing shooters so far. I recommend the riser booster the screen is a little low there’s a 4” and 6” it’s pricey but with it Nick!
Yea I think I was going to get the 4" riser. Im about 5'10" so that should lift it up to a decent height. Lol yea its like buying another A1U $$$ but like you said with all that comes with it, worth it.
All you need is the player #1 encoder board kit if this is the only mod you’re doing this for. I also bought riser booster and pedals was 400 for everything. It’s cheaper if you pass on riser.

Thank you Triumph or Die! Ok choose 2023 cab, then select kit 1 ( 1 player ) others are to link other cabs. Select plug and play, 2.0 amp and the rumble is optional. The amp is for your stock speakers to work, it’s the easiest way to keep volume. Then Buystuff pedals and it’s everything you saw in the video. Since you purchased the booster your looking at around $320
I was thinking the same thing 2 nights ago Ruben, same can be said about SW original 3 games. As long as your ok using the flight yoke instead of sinden yea it’s better :)
Nope just the buystuff gaming box, it’s a plug and play there are a few options for sound and rumble. Once you install you’ll have over 220 games on your Star Wars cab. If you have any questions on selecting anything on Buystuffs menu please reach out to me.

It REALLY REALLY pisses me off that you don’t put an upfront disclaimer that doing this Mod means you’ll never be able to have the stock ROMs with their specific vector graphics. Playing the replacement ROMs is NOT the same experience.
Star Wars roms 3 games are the actual roms there’s games from Dreamcast, PlayStation and N64 on here too. But you’re not losing the original 3 games and you get so much more. Thanks for watching
@@PDX7 My point is that you completely lose the ability to play the customized ROMs that CodeMystics and Tastemakers specially customized for the original Arcade1up cabinet. As far as I know, those special customized ROMs are not included with the Mod Kit from Buy Stuff Arcades. The look of the explosions and the special vector enhancements they did really make the ROMs included in the cabinet special. I would have totally bought this mod and installed it, and then be LIVID if I found out the ROMs that are on this mod are not the same as what was on my cabinet originally
@markhathaway2641 I honestly thought those Star Wars ROMS were the same. I have to be honest I didn’t play this much until I added these racers on here. The flight yoke is so good steering I sold my modded Ridge Racer. But if 1up gave us an XL next year I might buy it again and leave it stock if it was almost identical to the actual cab.
Where is Sega Star Wars Trilogy Arcade? This set is not the best. STAR Wars Trilogy Arcade is a Sega game where you can have a real light Sabre with Darth. Hoth level is awesome. Some like it Hoth. Arcade 1 up forgot this Classic
Very surprised Arcade 1 Up did not include Star Wars Trilogy Arcade. I found an emulator online and it is the better game with exciting game play instead of the vector graphics as in this one. Trilogy arcade has 3 massive levels with Hoth level which puts you inside a X wing fighter. The Battle of endor you ride a speeder bike. Trilogy by Sega is a superior game with realism and excitement with a battle with Darth Vader with a lightsaber. The Bobba Fett Mandalorian jetpack was well done. May the force be with you.
Does the mod have Outrun and Turbo Outrun? I mean, I spent a fortune on those as a kid and with the emulators etc, it´s not the same as the arcade plus yoke/steer.
Hi Sony co, yes it does have both Outrun’s on the mod they are PSP and PS Roms on some but you won’t know the difference. The flight yoke steers so good that I sold my RR cab with mod I thought SW played better plus addition racing, flight and shooting games on SW mod. Thank you for watching :)

Yes, it’s just the racing games 172 total. Star Wars has additional flight and shooting games along with 9 SW games.

It would of been better just to put all the Starwars games on that upgrade.
Maybe we will get more SW in the next update SD card, but I gotta say the steering on the flight yoke is awesome Excaidus!

Maybe 300-350, Wayfair has been running 475 sales every 2-3 weeks for SW. that’s the cheapest I’ve seen, keep an eye out for them on marketplace too.

Got an atgames legends ultimate mini running coinopsx with over 7,000 games, but it’s more about the cabinet, accuracy, feel and artwork for me. One of the reasons I had to grab dragons lair from arcade 1Up. People always say I can play dragons lair on every platform known to mankind, but I think they’re missing the whole point. I guess if you didn’t play it in the arcades like some of us did, you wouldn’t understand why we need the actual cabinet haha. Think I have it on Blu-ray, switch and the DS.

Great video. I did the mod last week myself and love it. Im using thrustmaster pedals but am thinking about buying the bsa pedals and using the thrustmaster for fast and furious. The networking feature also worked flawlessly with the bsa gaming box and alu.

Yeah i have the 1st edition racing box hooked up to an alu with a thrustmaster t150 and bsa mount/riser. I feel they have improved with the star wars mod. I will have to see what games they have to offer on the f&f mod but i am a big fan of buystuff so it's definitely a possibility. I must admit despite the controversy I really enjoy the f&f 1up. I do wish the deluxe was a few inches taller though. I hit up bsa about a riser for it but they are still trying to figure that one out.
I agree there’s something different about SW mod and my RR, it just feels better plus there’s so many new games. I like F&F too, I said that as crazy as this sounds I prefer A1up to the actual F&F arcade. It’s a simple pedal to metal game, there’s some interesting new titles coming to F&F that might tempt me to get.

Hi Phil, to be honest, I would hate to mess with my Star Wars cab, but this mod has me convinced. The Ridge Race mod really didn't sell me, I would hate to lose my original game list and not have them on the mod. I more than likely will would get the Star Wars mod, I like the fact it comes with the extended riser, so I won't damage the original riser, I'm game.... By the way, I talked to Dan yesterday. He is doing well.
Hi Ralfie, the best part is you don’t lose the arcade SW roms. It’s exactly like the 3 on our A1up! Everything plays smooth I didn’t know it was going to be this good, down the road when buy stuff releases F&F mod I’ll probably part with RR. Hi Bones, I believe the actual arcade roms like T2 and Paperboy because I entered my initials when I died. N64, PlayStation, Dreamcast and PSP doesn’t look like it saves. I’ll check it out after Arcades Anonymous tonight and confirm, but I think just the shooters and flight games. Bones you’ll love this mod :)

I’ll have to check to see if APB is on there, Spy Hunter music is the original but doesn’t start until the game starts to play a little bit of a delay.

Yes, they play great unlike our Outrun / RR these are the arcade roms. I took them out I thought video was too long, Mike it’s really good :) HOTD 2 takes some getting used to, but the rest of the shooters are unbelievable!
Wish they would have a Star Wars only version. I just don’t care for the extra games that aren’t branded on there. Bothers my ocd. Great review PD7🎉

I've got the Star Wars 40th Anniversary cabinet and I'm initially reluctant to modify it as this may be the last Star Wars cabinet Arcade1Up release. Once you have done the Buy Stuff Arcades modification, do you still have the original three Star Wars games that came with the cabinet on the new play list. Also, if you load up the Star Wars game, does it still play in attract mode as it would have done the arcades.
Hi Peter, yes you get both of the 3 original games and they all will do track mode. You can always eBay your SW pcb and get something to put towards the Buystuff mod.

@PeterSimpson666 dude Thank you :) I really appreciate it my Friend 👊 be careful these things are addictive and can be crazy expensive:) RR mod adds so much to the cab, in my opinion unless you want to link the 2 so you can race against someone you only need to mod 1 of them if it’s just you. SW played so well with flight yoke I sold my RR to buy Time Crisis.
It certainly is addictive, I'm now looking at a Star Wars pinball machine plus the soft mod that allows you to load up all thirty Arcade1Up pinball games. Already done a few light modifications to my Tron and MVC2 cabinets, will have to upload a couple of arcade video's to my channel; RetroAtticMancave ;-)

Cool, that would be nice to have a sit down RR. SW and RR screen was just too low even for me, these risers are such an improvement.

If I utilize my own speakers, I dont need an amp correct (Logitech z313)? How are the pedals? Lastly in Hydro Thunder, have you figured out how to make the boats jump?
I think so, your audio will work if you use Logitech instead of stock. It’s easier for me to use their amp :) pedals are awesome! I was blown away when I tried them the first time, I just know off the ramp I haven’t played Hydro a bunch yet was playing shooters so far. I recommend the riser booster the screen is a little low there’s a 4” and 6” it’s pricey but with it Nick!
Yea I think I was going to get the 4" riser. Im about 5'10" so that should lift it up to a decent height. Lol yea its like buying another A1U $$$ but like you said with all that comes with it, worth it.

What kit do you buy(board only, player 1, player 2 or player 3)? I bought a 2023 version of Star Wars Arcade1up and I want to install this mod.
All you need is the player #1 encoder board kit if this is the only mod you’re doing this for. I also bought riser booster and pedals was 400 for everything. It’s cheaper if you pass on riser.

Thank you Triumph or Die! Ok choose 2023 cab, then select kit 1 ( 1 player ) others are to link other cabs. Select plug and play, 2.0 amp and the rumble is optional. The amp is for your stock speakers to work, it’s the easiest way to keep volume. Then Buystuff pedals and it’s everything you saw in the video. Since you purchased the booster your looking at around $320

Nope just the buystuff gaming box, it’s a plug and play there are a few options for sound and rumble. Once you install you’ll have over 220 games on your Star Wars cab. If you have any questions on selecting anything on Buystuffs menu please reach out to me.

It REALLY REALLY pisses me off that you don’t put an upfront disclaimer that doing this Mod means you’ll never be able to have the stock ROMs with their specific vector graphics. Playing the replacement ROMs is NOT the same experience.
Star Wars roms 3 games are the actual roms there’s games from Dreamcast, PlayStation and N64 on here too. But you’re not losing the original 3 games and you get so much more. Thanks for watching
@@PDX7 My point is that you completely lose the ability to play the customized ROMs that CodeMystics and Tastemakers specially customized for the original Arcade1up cabinet. As far as I know, those special customized ROMs are not included with the Mod Kit from Buy Stuff Arcades. The look of the explosions and the special vector enhancements they did really make the ROMs included in the cabinet special. I would have totally bought this mod and installed it, and then be LIVID if I found out the ROMs that are on this mod are not the same as what was on my cabinet originally
@markhathaway2641 I honestly thought those Star Wars ROMS were the same. I have to be honest I didn’t play this much until I added these racers on here. The flight yoke is so good steering I sold my modded Ridge Racer. But if 1up gave us an XL next year I might buy it again and leave it stock if it was almost identical to the actual cab.
Where is Sega Star Wars Trilogy Arcade? This set is not the best. STAR Wars Trilogy Arcade is a Sega game where you can have a real light Sabre with Darth. Hoth level is awesome. Some like it Hoth. Arcade 1 up forgot this Classic

Very surprised Arcade 1 Up did not include Star Wars Trilogy Arcade. I found an emulator online and it is the better game with exciting game play instead of the vector graphics as in this one. Trilogy arcade has 3 massive levels with Hoth level which puts you inside a X wing fighter. The Battle of endor you ride a speeder bike. Trilogy by Sega is a superior game with realism and excitement with a battle with Darth Vader with a lightsaber. The Bobba Fett Mandalorian jetpack was well done. May the force be with you.

Sonic had some weird audio, didn’t notice on anything else other stuff could’ve been the camera I used.

House of the dead plays different I didn’t notice the sounds, but have to get used to flight yoke in that one. T2 was perfect

Does the mod have Outrun and Turbo Outrun? I mean, I spent a fortune on those as a kid and with the emulators etc, it´s not the same as the arcade plus yoke/steer.
Hi Sony co, yes it does have both Outrun’s on the mod they are PSP and PS Roms on some but you won’t know the difference. The flight yoke steers so good that I sold my RR cab with mod I thought SW played better plus addition racing, flight and shooting games on SW mod. Thank you for watching :)
