I bought a Blackburn Grid MTB pack; which didn't even survive its first ride. With the saddle down, when the rear end sagged, the bag pressed against the rotating rear wheel and tore right off. I'm strongly considering this to replace it and I think it will sit nicely between my top and down tube.
They have a new model out which is probably better. Looks like it has a better zipper design. Also consider evergreen threadworks. He can custom make you a bag and the prices are responsible.
This is the 1L (or medium) size. Looks like it's been replaced with a weather-proof version, which looks better all around. This one gets soaked if you rinse it off with a water hose, as does the contents. The new one looks to have a nicer zipper as well, in the sense that it doesn't wrap all the way around the unit. While nice on paper, the zipper continues to be an annoyance for me, as it gets hard to use when it gets dirty and the corners don't help. As a workaround, a quick squirt with my water bottle after my ride loosens it up immediately. In any event, the new bag looks to solve both of those issues.
My pixel 6 does not fit comfortably. I can force it in there, but I think it would strain the stitching and zipper. If your iPhone is a bit smaller, then you might be able to make it work.
It's such a tight fix with the pixel 6. I don't know the sizing of the iPhone 12, if it's a quarter inch shorter and narrower, it would probably fit okay.

Nice review, thanks ;) Maybe a bit of candle wax or silicone spray could improve how the zipper works?
Genius idea! I'll try that on my replacement bag, but luckily it's been working quite well by itself.
Zipper trick -> rub a candle on the teeth. Often helps.
Been meaning to try this! If it starts sticking because it's dirty, I just squirt it with my water bottle and it opens up. Wax would definitely help.
Thanks for the review! What size in litres is it?
