Holy Trinity Church - Easter Celebration 2024.

The Belvidere Holy Trinity Church in Knysna is a historic gem, resembling Norman churches of the 11th and 12th centuries. Founded by Thomas Henry Duthie and his wife Caroline, the church is constructed from local sandstone and stinkwood beams. Surrounding the church are well-kept gardens and graves of Knysna's founding families. Construction began in 1851, with stonemasons quarrying and transporting stone for six months. The church opened for services in 1853 and was consecrated in 1855. Stained glass windows honor members of the Duthie family. Today, the church welcomes visitors and serves the local Belvidere community with Sunday services, providing a serene space for reflection.
