ive been a Christian for like 2 years now (maybe a bit more, i dont keep track) and Jesus has taken me a long way from where I was, lately ive been watching a lot of Christian vs Islam debates. In some of these debates, the triune nature of God is a point of debate. The problem is that while i was reading, i came across 1 Corinthians 8:6 i started to doubt and question. But God in all his love revealed to me through my own reasoning how he is Triune. And on top of that, this video was the first video i saw on my youtube feed that my eyes saw (what a "coincidence" huh?)... even for "older" Christians, some things have to clarified sometimes, im glad you're walking on the path of Jesus.
I think the Sun in our solar system reflects/hints of the Trinity. The Sun is like the Father on a sunny summer day, you cannot look upon the sun. You can see the light (Jesus) and feel the heat (Holy Spirit)
It's so frustrating that I've spent fifteen years trying to understand the trinity and talking to priests about it and not getting an answer or "you simply have to believe" leading me to atheism until I returned to Christianity; but I've managed to find a coherent answer in a youtube comment. Sam, I would like to thank you for preaching God to all of us. I had a terrible past as a child, where my parents were fighting each other, I was getting abused, my teachers hated me and everyone mocking me. It was too much pain and suffering that it drove me to suicide 3-4 times if I can recall, but when I saw a video about you explaining the trinity, I felt joy and happiness that I never knew, and from that, I turned my life to Jesus. Instantly, my life became better, my family and I reformed our broken relationship and my friends showed me true friendship. This made me realize that my life has a purpose, an amazing purpose. You are going to take what Jesus said there and interpret it to mean he is eternal when that contracts what the New Testament says all over? Did you read the entire conversation before that statement? In that conversation, Jesus clearly stated: (1) he is just who he had been saying he was from the beginning (of their interactions), and he had not been claiming to be God, (2) he is a man who told them the truth he heard from God, (3) he is the Son of God. Notice that he points out that God called men “gods” (elohim) in the Psalms, and he was not even calling himself an elohim, but the Son OF God. To claim that the Son is “eternally begotten” os to directly contradict Scripture because God clearly said, “You are my Son; TODAY I have begotten you.” How can today mean eternally? Trinitarians twist the Scriptures to say the opposite of what they actually say!! Also, according the the apostles, Jesus is STILL a man after he was raised from the dead and ascended to heaven. Paul clearly stated that there is one God, who is the Father, and one mediator between God and man, who is the MAN, Christ Jesus.
When I was an unitarian, where I believe Jesus is not God, my mind worked like the Muslims. I thought I was way more superior than other Christians. I quote the exact the verses out of context to show to the Christians that Jesus is not God. But when I study the Bible with the help of the Holy Spirit, my eyes and mind are opened. I can see that Jesus is God in the bible. Then I realize, that I was very shallow on bible verses, I felt like I just learn how to do a simple math and boast about how good I am until I could challenge all the mathematician with simple primary level maths calculation. Today I humble myself and I would say that the trinity is something like higher maths calculation. It could be understood when we open our mind to adapt things and to test and proof. When I was an unitarian, i explain this verse like If you see Me you have seen the Father. I say, that is Jesus saying that when you see Him you will feel the presence of the Father. God is a higher dimension being. Imagine someone trying to explain a cube to a 2-dimensional world. If the cube touches the 2-dimensional plane with the corner, this plane will see a dot. If the side touches, then a line. If the face touches, then a square.

God is one. Simple as that. No need to complicate it. Jesus is the visible image of that God. When we get to Heaven we WILL see Jesus sitting upon the throne. Nothing more and nothing less. God being a spirit fills all time and space. He is invisible and has never been see nor ever will be seen. The only image that we will behold is Jesus Christ who is both Lord and God. My God doesn’t need to be 3 persons to fulfill the job of creation, redemption and restoration. He did it by Himself-who is father in creation, son in redemption and the power of the Holy Ghost in restoration. And He has one name- Jesus. The trinity is the spirit of deception. We don’t need the trinity to be saved. We need the revelation of Jesus-God becoming man while never stopping being God. God becoming the son while never stopping being the father. If a person says you need the trinity to be saved they have not been introduced to the Gospel-the death, burial and resurrection of Christ.

Leaf isn't 100% tree, wood isn't 100% tree, bark isn't 100%. But according to trinity, Jesus is 100% god, The father is 100% god, and the holy spirit is 100% god. So you committed a heresy called (Partialism). Same thing with humans. Now about H2O, if you take a body of water you can't make that body of water all gas, liquid, and solid at the same time. They have to be separated in terms of body or time. Unlike trinity where you can't say God existed/exists only in father or son or holy spirit. God exist with or without a creation. It makes sense that if He makes a spiritual realm He will exist in that realm. If He makes a physical realm He will exist in that realm. God is a hands on creator. Of course God exists as a man/ Jesus Christ, He exist as the Holy Spirit in the spiritual realm. It makes sense to me. An artist exists in his painting by signing his name on it. The Trinity is common sense.

Whatever analogy you use to explain the trinity you will always fall into heresy. For example the analogy you used in this video. You said a car is 1 but has 4 doors, now does that mean each door is 100% car? No. Meanwhile in the trinity, each person is 100% god but there's 1 god which is a contradiction. You just committed the heresy of (Partialism) and the same thing will happen with each analogy you use for the Trinity which makes the trinity extremely illogical and dumb. He can't explain trinity . His examples are not accurate. A car has components and its one car doesn't mean that the components are cars (car consists of cars) like god consists of gods. I have a better example and more rational than him : A big drop of water consists of smaller drops .. means that there is a big drop and small drop .. in the example of god in your belief means that there is 1 big god and one small god because the small is in the big .. That means they are not equal .. they are different in the characteristic of size (you size god and you make him not unique) .. the 3 attributes are different (jesus is a human form .. god .. holy spirit) if you believe they are one it's like believing that one blue square is one yellow square because they have the same size. To me my understanding of the trinity strengthened my believe in god even more, because it’s the closest we humans have ever interacted and described the unfathomable one god through Jesus Christ and our previous scriptures. God is ONE substance. This substance is shared by all three persons of the Trinity. PERSONS are not people, people are created, God was never created, He is eternal. The word Person, implies that each have a personal identity and are distinct from each other. There is one God who exists as three persons. All three Persons share the same collection of attributes. And God can appear as anything He desires.

ive been a Christian for like 2 years now (maybe a bit more, i dont keep track) and Jesus has taken me a long way from where I was, lately ive been watching a lot of Christian vs Islam debates. In some of these debates, the triune nature of God is a point of debate. The problem is that while i was reading, i came across 1 Corinthians 8:6 i started to doubt and question. But God in all his love revealed to me through my own reasoning how he is Triune. And on top of that, this video was the first video i saw on my youtube feed that my eyes saw (what a "coincidence" huh?)... even for "older" Christians, some things have to clarified sometimes, im glad you're walking on the path of Jesus.

I had a terrible past as a child, where my parents were fighting each other, I was getting abused, my teachers hated me and everyone mocking me. It was too much pain and suffering that it drove me to suicide 3-4 times if I can recall, but when I saw a video about you explaining the trinity, I felt joy and happiness that I never knew, and from that, I turned my life to Jesus. Instantly, my life became better, my family and I reformed our broken relationship and my friends showed me true friendship. This made me realize that my life has a purpose, an amazing purpose. When I was an unitarian, where I believe Jesus is not God, my mind worked like the Muslims. I thought I was way more superior than other Christians. I quote the exact the verses out of context to show to the Christians that Jesus is not God.
But when I study the Bible with the help of the Holy Spirit, my eyes and mind are opened. I can see that Jesus is God in the bible.
Then I realize, that I was very shallow on bible verses, I felt like I just learn how to do a simple math and boast about how good I am until I could challenge all the mathematician with simple primary level maths calculation.
Today I humble myself and I would say that the trinity is something like higher maths calculation. It could be understood when we open our mind to adapt things and to test and proof.

God is a higher dimension being. Imagine someone trying to explain a cube to a 2-dimensional world. If the cube touches the 2-dimensional plane with the corner, this plane will see a dot. If the side touches, then a line. If the face touches, then a square.

My God doesn’t need to be 3 persons to fulfill the job of creation, redemption and restoration. We don’t need the trinity to be saved. We need the revelation of Jesus-God becoming man while never stopping being God. God becoming the son while never stopping being the father. The Trinity is made of 3 DIVINE PERSONS who are without begging having only one of them AS GOD.

Whatever analogy you use to explain the trinity you will always fall into heresy. For example the analogy you used in this video. You said a car is 1 but has 4 doors, now does that mean each door is 100% car? No. Meanwhile in the trinity, each person is 100% god but there's 1 god which is a contradiction. Another way to help explain trinity is referencing water: 1. Rain (liquid water) 2. Steam (gaseous water) 3. Ice (solid water). Three different physicalities /nature of the same element that serve three different purposes as in God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit.
One can also use the sun to explain the attributes of trinity: 1. Light 2. Life 3. Energy.

You can't comprehend it because it's not supported by scripture and contradicts the whole of scripture, "it's a mystery" is such a copout which really means it's not scriptural. He has revealed Himself to us through His Word, His Word is what matters and His Word says that HaMashiach has an Elohim. We are one also with the Son and Elohim but that doesn't make us Elohim, they are one in purpose and thought as we should be. Trinity is an invention by Catholics. It is true that the God Head are 3 Beings, The Almighty Father, The Son and the Holy Spirit but The Father is the most powerful that even the Son is lower than Him. The Trinity says that The 3 has equal power which is nowhere to be found in the unadulterated Bible. One in the Bible doesn't mean 1 being but United 1. Just like the Christians that are 1 in God and 1 in Spirit but they are many.
