Yeah. They’re good parents, and they’re doing their best. But they need to be more involved with their children’s academic progress. Gene may have ADD, and Tina would benefit from some one-in-one tutoring.
There’s the reality they may not be able to afford tutoring for Tina, and Gene is both just at the age where kids start getting looked at for ADD if they weren’t extremely obvious and difficult for adults to manage as young children (Gene is sweet and courteous enough personality wise that even if he didn’t focus on school work he might not have been that much of a distraction or that “poorly behaved” for his parents and teachers) AND Gene is in a family where these sorts of behaviors seem genetic/common which ironically makes diagnoses harder because Linda and Bob see a kid who wasn’t that different from themselves in different ways when they were a kid and because they never had a diagnosis they don’t suspect anything of gene Louise isn’t lazy--she’s BORED, which both points to an extremely intelligent child but likely also a kid who would also benefit from ADD aids (since yknow the condition chemically bottlenecks how much stimulation the brain derived from activities, which can lead to kids finding a wider array of things intolerably boring) because she’s more aggressive she might actually get a diagnosis BEFORE Gene does

Yeah, she's pretty great. And not just compared to other cartoon moms, she's amazing in general. She's kind, funny, and always supports her kids no matter what. I love my mom and all, but sometimes, I kinda wish Linda was my mom.
Yes, in this situation Linda is a bad mom. Choosing a silly symphony event over the health of the family, especially something as contagious as worms, was one of the dumbest things she's done.

Lin is a bad mom and she never backs Bob up ever! Just cause you love your kids doesn't automatically make you a good parent 😆 . She neglects the discipline and following through with the kids. But she's a good character and she trys lol
