I got the book, and needed a way to track my data. I saw your comment on reddit, but needed more guidance, & amazingly found this video. Thank you for all the content my friend.
thank you very much for your valuable advice and the top-notch spreadsheet! could you please tell me how to add additional cycles and difficulty levels to the spreadsheet. thank you for your reply B
Glad you enjoy it. Entering data should be pretty self explanatory, the only confusing part maybe being that you need to count how many ones you get wrong, adding either 0.5 or 1 for each one you get wrong in the Points Lost column. I forget why I did it that way, I think I gave myself only half a point if it was an "alternative solution"... but you could ignore it and just enter in 1 point wrong for each one you get wrong, which would work too.
I know I'm late to this video, but fantastic sheet! I am having some problems with the lichess rating tracking, as it isn't showing the correct rating. Nice concept though!
@@AlwaysDizzy I did, Found out the formula on that sheet wasn't copied down the full column and now works great! Thatnks again for sharing this sheet for free!
@@nicholasrisko2465 Aha, yes, I just modified this as well. The reason is that since the spreadsheet is fairly old already, at the time I created it, it had enough rows for a Lichess account that was like 4 years old of playing every day. There are a number of things I could do to improve the spreadsheet now (such as using Google Apps Script to parse the JSON instead of formulas), but am pretty busy.
hello, when I fill in the lichess ranking sheet, these are your scores that appear! I think I've done everything right, but have you ever had this problem? can you help me solve it? please!
hello, I have indeed read and paid attention. I put my name lichess in the appropriate box "Nautilchess" and on and the sheet fetches all your results. I can share my sheet with you if you like to have a look !@@AlwaysDizzy
Nice work, Do you think your rating would have gone up more if you did a larger cycle like the book suggests, e.g. as many as you can do in one month for your first cycle
I don't think so. I think there is a lot of leeway in exactly how you approach The Woodpecker Method. I think the key thing is mainly the repetition of tactics to build up pattern recognition.
@@shivakrishna1743 Because each exercise is effectively worth "2" points. If I got one partially incorrect (such as getting the first move correct, but messing up later), I'd give myself half a point (0.5) for Points Lost. I think this was in the spirit of the book's original instructions.

Awesome spreadsheet!
Oh nice I might ask my mom for this cours for Christmas.

There are instructions on the Instructions tab in the spreadsheet. Basically, you just duplicate the tab and update the name on the main sheet.
Thank you, yes sorry I did not see it the first time @@AlwaysDizzy
Hi! Thanks so much for your work. Anyway, there is something I miss... how must I fill Scoredata section?

Did you toggle the "Rating Lookup" tab on as per the instructions? Also be sure to enter your Lichess username on that tab too.

Be sure to read the instructions on the first tab. It's at the very bottom of that sheet: "Lichess Rating Feature Setup"

Hello, when I insert the number to points gained I'm getting "array results was not expanded because it would overwrite data in G6"
I'd need to see your spreadsheet to see what you did wrong, but likely you entered data in G6 that you shouldn't have.
@@AlwaysDizzy Thanks it's working fine now.
I couldn't download the file , is there an new link ?
Works for me: docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/14zF-gL50rGTJ5L0mGEXbimlmvwd1sAJm9MiRdqjVkD4/copy

Yes: www.twitch.tv/modulusthegamer
Is the spreadsheet safe? My internet keeps disconnecting once I open it.
It's safe.
@@AlwaysDizzy Thanks, also in "Cycle 1" sheet column F + G is not equal to column H. Why is that..
