i have not too dry skin and not too oily on my cheeks.. only on my nose and my chin..
i still searching a bb cream that suitable for my skin, i seem have try body shop bb cream, it gives me very oily skin. now i stop, and still wondering what is suitable.. hhehehehhe.. any recommend??

I'm so glad I watched this video! When they first came here I tried the Garnier one (lol) but I actually liked it a lot. I bought the darker one and it was in the summer so it matched perfectly and I felt like it really evened out my skin. But once I lost my tan it was too dark. I also tried the Too Faced BB cream and its okay, nothing special. I really want to try the Skin 79 one after hearing you rave about it. It sounds great. Thanks for letting me know about the other ones!

You should try the triple the solution BB cream from Lioelle. It also has a high level of coverage while still looking just like skin. I LOVE it. I am also fair- it works for me most of the year, I just have to apply lightly in the dead of winter because I get quite pale.

I actually love the maybelline bb cream and I only used it cosmetics and urban decay one and done. I had to buy the maybelline bc I had forgotten to pack mine and it worked great for me but I'm very dry. So it depends on what kind of skin you have.
I think they come out in about 2-3 tones... but yes... none of them is that dark...
But! I think you will like the face shop CC cream.
Try that if you have any chance. I am a person who doesn't like a full coverage on my skin so normal CC creams work great on me, but the face shop's cc cream actually has good coverage for CC cream (which I didn't like, but you might like).
Your skin tone is like mine, was the Maybelline BB cream orange cast at all with your fair skin?
Actually CC creams are meant to have more coverage, with color correction capabilities. Check out Clinique's new CC cream for a good example of a perfect CC cream.

I've never seen anyone more spot on with their bb cream knowledge! She knows her stuff, and I'm a trainer in the industry.
I used the garnier one and I felt that by the end of the day it was all patchy and flaky on my skin? when I first put it on it was fine though. did this happen to you? I used it for a while to give it a proper shot but it just wasn't improving. I use the Maybelline dream fresh and I think its the best one ive tried yet
Please note, this video is very old, and there are some truly amazing new BB creams that American drugstores and luxury brands have come out with. I'm just one person and cannot purchase all BB creams out there in existence. I'm working on a new one but I hope you can understand my resources are not limitless. Thanks!

Does it fade over the course of the day? Like let's say, 8 hours (school hours). Does it leave a white cast, or any weird cast? Lastly, does it cover pores & acne/hyper-pigmentation well?

Great post! Usually I just use BB Creams during the spring and summer months, but now am more and more starting to just use BB Creams in the morning, honestly because of convenience. I've only used the Smashbox Camera Ready BB Cream. I definitely will have to try your two favs and see how they work for me. :)

You should try Chanel les beiges BB cream. I always hate BB cream because it don't give a coverage with natural healthy look but Chanel les beiges BB cream is absolutely amazing it look like skin with semi-matte look (I loveeee) and long wearing.I have combination skin (oily in T-zone) but i can wear this for 12 hour without touch up.
This is so great! It's also especially helpful because we have the exact same skin type! haha. I have tried garnier, maybelline and rimmel and all have left my skin AWFUL.

You are SO right about the Asian BB creams being so much better. They have been making them for ages, so maybe that's why they've gotten a better formulation. My fav is prob the Skin79 and it was the very first BB cream I ever purchased (of course lol) Thanks for the review! This is going to help sooo many people :)

I just got the new Garnier oily skin BB cream. I would love to know your opinion on it. I am not sure what to think to be honest. It is very thick and does feel oily, I used a very small amount and it leaves my face shiny in the T-zone and yet it gives better coverage than some of my high end foundations. Even my husband noticed that I was wearing "more makeup" than on a typical day. It also rubbed off on his face and I have never had that happen before! (this was an hour after applying)
This is a good review, thanks for posting. Have you tried any BRTC BB creams? They're made with botanical ingredients (instead of synthetic ingredients that can break you out) so they are great for your skin. The Aqua Rush BB cream would be perfect for you.
Chica. You are in a cosmetics video. Can't you tell that your eye shadow and your lipstick kind of clash? The eye shadow is lovely with your blue eyes but it's a warm color and the lipstick is pretty but it's quite a cool color. I'd trust your opinions more if you got your own colors right.
I've always wanted to try Asian BB Creams but my biggest concern is that it won't be in the correct skin color. Since I'd be ordering it from another country online, there's no way for me to know if it will be too dark or just look wrong with my skin tone.
How much was the shipping for the Skin 79 Super+ BB Cream? Since it's coming from somewhere in Asia (I'm assuming) and you're in the U.S. (?).
I'm really glad Pretty and Cute offers ordering sample sizes for some of their BB creams. I never like shelling out over 20 bucks for something that I may not end up liking. Just ordered the sample of the Skin 79 gold. If I like it, I'll definitely be buying the full size! :D

I tried the cc surge from Clinique and I LOVED it , I liked the dewiness and it calms down after a couple min and covers nicely, I have acne scars and it helps them not be so noticeable

The orange one is just a little different shade. A little more golden. I love how soft it makes my skin feel. It feels like I put on a lotion but the coverage is awesome.

Ive quit trying with drug store brands...they never deliver. My favorite is the CC cream by smashbox. Great coverage, easy to build coverage on my worst skin days. If my acne is really bad I would need concealer with the best of products so that no different.
I have skin79 orange bbcream. yes, this is for oily skin and also the shade is lighter than skin79 hot pink bbcream, it's more like yellow undertone :) the formula of both of them is the same I think. (I had skin79 hot pink before and it was a little bit too dark for me)

i really like the garnier original version and my skin is combination. i didnt have to blot at all. strangely with the oil free i had to blot 3 times

I just got the Garnier one and so far I'm liking it. I do have really dry skin though. I hate that the light/medium is a bit too dark and think they need more than 3 shades. Though with summer coming up the color might work (we'll see how oily I get since I'm not as dry then too).

You might wanna give the british garnier bb creams a shot. They seem to be different (packaging etc). It also comes in fair. They don't offer great coverage for breakouts, but I find it really evens out my skin tone. I know everyone got different skin, but mine is super uneven and with big pores and it really blurs these imperfections. Plus, I find it doesn't make me break out like other foundations (nearly naked or healthy mix for example).
The Garnier BB cream for oily skin covers pores. I have the original one and it covers well, and lasts for a decent amount of time.
the asian bb creams are meant to blend into the skin and it doesn't matter if you're dark skinned or light skinned it first applies light but eventually it blends into your skin and they were meant to benefit your skin and keep it healthy , but the western bb cream are just like a "lighter, healthier and more beneficial foundation" :)

Thank you for the review...I've never tried bb creams again after using the maybelline cc cream because it made my skin dry but living in AZ, I really need a tinted moisturizer with sunscreen. the orange one is for super oily skin and very very heavy coverage. I've tried the pink bb cream from skin 79 and the pink one is considered light coverage compared to the orange skin 79 bb cream. and the skin 79 bb cream has a more grey undertone whereas the orange one is almost like pure white. you will look like you're ill with the orange one if you don't work with it. super ghostly. if you use the orange one, lots of blush and bronzer!
The Skin 79 pink, gold and orange (and now also green and purple) bbs are not to be differentiated based upon one's skin type, but rather on your tone and their essential benefits and also colours!

the maybelline bb cream works so good for me, I get great coverage and evening out with a dewy finish and my skin is far from perfect its so dry and has pink cheeks. I guess it depends on the person but it does feel superl
My nose gets really, really oily, but the rest of my face is normal. I'm an NC25, and I mostly use the Face Shop Face It Waterproof BB Cream or the Skin79 The Premier Gold BB Cream. My nose gets even oilier from the Skin79 one, but a little BB pact works wonders. I sometimes use the Etude House Precious Mineral All Day Strong; it's great too. I've never really used Western BB Creams because I'm very content with Korean ones since they're available locally.

hey, just thought I would let you know that I have tried the Rimmel London BB cream and it was ok when you fist put it on, but by the end of the day, it looked really flakey and sinks into my pores quite a bit. I have also tried the Garnier one which pretty much does the same. I really recommend using the Maybelline BB cream. its amazing and stays looking fresh all day and goes on really well :)
Thanks for this! I just bought the garnier BB cream for anti-aging and it made my skin look so greasy, I put powder over it and it still feels like oil is oozing out of my faces :( Just put an order in for a few samples of the Asian BB creams from skin 79 :)
The orange BB cream is a SPF50 and in a super light shade. I'm asian but with fair skin, it was too light for me and it broke me out badly on the cheeks which most of SPF50 do. So that might be just me.
have you try SKIN79 Gold pearl bb cream? i use this one, the coverage is so-so but its pretty cool for night party, this bb cream containing shimmer pearls efect but they dont have any SPF, more reason to use this product only for night party :)
I LOVE the Olay one. I returned most of my other foundations & shelved my high end ones after using it. I'm not a big fan of heavy makeup anymore (Dermablend days behind me) and the lightweight feeling and subtle coverage were perfect for me under a final dusting of powder. Shame it didn't work out for you.
The reason why the Maybeline BB cream probably didn't work for you was because it says sheer tint which means light coverage.
I really love the Ganier and the Maybelline one. But I love to wear sheer coverage, just because I don't have a problem skin.
I love, love, love the L´Oréal Magic one. I think it is amazing, but I have only tried the Garnier before, which I also did not like. I´m combo skin to, but this one really works for me!
I have been loving the Garnier bb cream for oily skin! It is a HUGE improvement from the original one, and actually has really amazing coverage without looking like a typical foundation...? Yeah, the Sleek one has pretty amazing coverage too, which is a feat in itself as most bb creams I've tried have insufficient coverage ;) just thought I'd say

if you want a lite coverage for summer i would go with etude house sun prise , it soo good for oily summer skin, it stays matte and still has lots of sunscreen i sware by it! :)
i had no problems with the maybelline bb cream and i quite like it. i am trying the loreal magic skin beautifier and the new olay fresh effects bb cream.
whats funny is I bought the Rimmel bb cream today and it says 9 in 1 on it, I didn't even bother to read the 9 things though. It's actually okay if you've never tried a real Asian bb cream before.

Great review! I just wanted to point out that asian BB Creams don't have a wide variety of color selections (especially) because well.. we actually have pretty similar skintones.. I think they'll be coming out with more color selections now that it's more world-wide.

i just ordered skin79's hot pink bb cream since it was over 60% off on amazon! i tried garnier's too but it was awful, then again i didn't get the combination/oily version since they don't sell it in fair/light (wtf garnier) i feel the need to wear something on my skin daily too but tinted moisturizer doesn't have enough coverage and i'm 200% done with foundation and dealing with cake face no thanks. i have a feeling my new obsession will be bb creams! thanks for the video!
I've only tried two so far, the Smashbox and today used Avon's for the first time. I'm not impressed with Avon's. I compared ingredients and both are touting titanium dioxide as their main active ingredient but Smashbox only contains 1.10% whereas Avon's contains 5.40%. The oddest thing is that Avon's came without ONE word printed on box or tube as to what the benefits of this BB cream are for the face, not one word. Very odd.
