How the hell did Tommy even survive that explosion at the gas station?
I already knew that gman was a man of taste but 7:27 proves it once again. Aladdins music on the right console.
I've always referred to this game as Mexican Max Payne. Thank you for putting that in the title.
I recall the red reticle allowing me to split my aim between to different enemies when dual wielding. At least that’s how it was in the psp spin-off
Mexican Hoon Cartel use that menu song a lot lol
I dunno man, I never had any of these weapon inaccuracies you've mentioned. I actually liked that getting headshots requires a bit of a skill by holding down the RMB for a second, as opposed to just point and click to someone's head. It's not rocket science.
1:41 Colonel Campbell, is that you?
I loved this game back in the day, I actually got it on my 11th birthday and I use to sit and listen to The Game and 50 Cent CDs in my room while playing this. And I’m glad I’m not the only one who thinks that title theme slaps.
Yooo I was not expecting you to cover this one. I played it on the OG Xbox back in the day lol. This brought back some memories
I lost it when the clip of Dave Chapelle saying "Gotcha Bitch" played. LMFAO!!
The Dave Chapelle "Gotcha Bitch" was a nice sfx add-in there mate ;)
I’ve had that damn main menu theme song stuck in my head for 16 years
omfg you just revived my childhood in 18 minutes
It was actually this game which introduced me to Mexican rap bands - Molotov and Control Machete. And was a lot of fun, honestly.
Idk what to tell you man. This game got everything anyone needs. Wall climbing matrix gun bonanza, forklift certified man, bimbos with bazookas, a choo choo, and chickens that you can cook with BULLETS
I remember playing a demo of this game, along with Hitman back in 2005. I couldn't remember the name of it till now.
HOLY FUCK A SHOOTER WHERE YOU MOVE WITH THE KEYBOARD AND SHOOT WITH THE MOUSE?!?!?!?! What a god damned insight, you should be a buzzfeed reviewer
This really needed a sequel. The ending was a good sequelbait.
only thing i really remember about his game was the golden gun and the bonus points you could get from catching a sombrero on your head after shooting off an enemy
Ohhh maan i remember playing this back in the day, good times.
Wow, you just dug out an ancient memory from my brain.
Hell yeah! Been waiting for you to do this one for a while.
Loved this game back in the day. Played this in middle school with my Hispanic friends for weeks. Also the one on PSP called Chile Con Carnage.
So damn awesome seeing you review this!
Honestly this game is too short, I wish it was longer.
Favorite part of this game has to be the soundtrack
@@wsnt Developed by GenePool Software/Warthog Games (Wolverine's Revenge) Punisher in Mexico
Rocket launchers on enemies as a difficulty increase.
Gives me flashbacks from the "Capture the Secret German Treasure" campaign in Medal of Honor. There were no saves mid-level and shreks would shoot at you from behind the render distance. And if you ate a rocket, you died instantly
Damnit,
That Aladdin music? Can't see PoP the same now. Also, Victorian Era pun? Noice Son!
That forklift driving is an obvious homage to Shenmue ;)
Sure it is.
11:55 Delinquent Habits really don't get the love they deserve.
For everyone who's curious; the main menu theme song is Delinquent Habits - Return of the Tres.
Fuckin' Hell, all these years later and Total Overdose is still a one of a kind Third-Person Shooter, and certainly one of the best Max Payne Knock-Off's there is! Absolutely sucks that the cancelled sequel would have taken place in a condensed open world Mexico. As in the entire Country. All of it. Granted, it would have entire Eco-systems and capital cities next door to each other and it would have run like ass if it did launch for the 360/PS3 era but I can only imagine how more bat-shit crazy it could have been!
Play Chili Con Carnage on PSP. It's the same game with a different story (for example no twin brother). Importantly, it gets ready of the open world element entirely and has a much more focused story. Same main character and same voice actors.
