The Rimac Nevera time was a disappointing 7:05 mins, I think the Lotus will be quicker. Don't forget the Nio EP9's lNurburgring lap time was 6:45 mins.....and that was 6 years ago. The Lotus Evija has a surprising 200bhp advantage in power to weight ratio vs the Rimac Nevera too.
It did a 6:24 in not ideal conditions.
The track was still damp at know parts like after Lauda links and so on.
And it was an attempt, they are rarely a success in the first time.
Then the driver flew back from the US the same day arrived at around 12:00 at the track.
Sighting lap at 15:00
Charging break then the quick run at 16:20.
Same for Rimac... far from ideal conditions (even if I'm not an EV fan you need to get those points)
Rimac had one of the hottest days with 34 degrees.
You can see the tires littarly melting in the straight acceleration (massive black stripes from "normal" acceleration)
With normal weather a Sub 7 would be easily possible.
And with a Pro Nordschleife driver even way less than that.

I'm think at least 20s slower right. Because this stripped down version was 40s quicker than the nevera did.
But the st evija is also nearly 450kg lighter than the nevera with a more track focused suspension, braking and tire setup. 🤔
As you can see the mods on the X are immense compared to the road car... Honestly no clue... But I assume that the Evija and the Nevera are pretty close together.
The conditions of the Nevera attempt were very far from ideal so... Let's wait and see what the road version will show 🙂
@@Oli_swiss_mk7r they don't seem close though, the jww channel had a road legal evija, it's 1850kgs with nearly 2000hp quad motor&awd.
Wider tires, better brakes, better aero and made by actual f1 winning engineers. I fully expect the road going evija to do under 6:45.
Either way what a time to be alive. And Porsche has their latest ev hypercar coming in 2025 or so. With a targeted sub 6:30 goal. 👍🏻😎
