I have ALL the respect for these great people. When you are in Russia you ACT like a Russian. They have a very conservative mindset. I would think to try learning the language the alphabet and you are right have your acquaintances speak to you in their language. I just want to go there maybe meet some guys that play hockey , enjoy fishing maybe a little hunting. I have already been to an Orthodox mass and enjoyed it. I find it close to Catholicism. They devote their prayers as well to our Lady Mary. I believe the first thing is to just go visit. Thank you for your info brother. God bless you and your beautiful fiancé.

The main problem is with grammar. English has a clear word order and a lot of tenses to convey the essence. In Russian, words are instead modified (prefixes, suffixes and endings) and word order can also vary. Polish, for example, uses the Latin alphabet, but this is unlikely to help. The grammar is almost identical to Russian.

Hi, Daniel! Happy New Year! May all your dreams and plans come true, may all your loved ones be close to you, and may God bless you all! I'm Russian, but when I was a teenager, my Father was an Ambassador of the USSR to the Republic of Mexico, so I've spent my summer vacations in your magnificent Motherland - Mexico. I'm 63 now, and I still cherish the memories of jogging in Chapultepek park, enjoying ballet at the Bellas Artes Palace, visiting historical sites and museums of which there are so many! Here in Russia, most of the people who were educated way back in Soviet schools, know and appreciate the amazing history of Mexico. Unfortunately, modern young Russians know far too little about ancient Mexico, and even less about present day Mexicans. Please, do us all a favor - show us what you can and find time for, it will be greatly appreciated! Best of luck, and welcome to Russia anytime 🤗

Daniel, your brother from another mother but brothers of the same family, the Marines. You have taught me so much, you are real, you say it how it is and how you embrace culture and share it with others. You have done an amazing job and I envy you for being there, a place that feels like home, a place where you belong and enrich the lives of others with your warm personality. I have a friend that will help me with my transition and immigration and I am ever so thankful that I have met good people online and speak to them through Whatsapp. I believe that the sharing of culture is wonderful and for myself, I wish to share my knowledge and life experiences with many as well as creating a job that is essential to everyone, greenhouse vertical farming of a vast variety of food. Anything is possible and to bring this basic human need can be rewarding and can create lasting friendships if not a relationship. I believe that sharing and brightening the world and sharing the beauty and history of people or a village in Russia is wonderful, most people think that Russia is dirt poor, being the times and live in squalor, this is so untrue. A culture that is deeply rooted in their country, their history and way of life being outside of the big cities. Being able to show that the people of Russia are a resilient, friendly and a sense of humble pride and willing to share that with, well, like a child being taught how to walk for the first time, like a foreigner being taught how to survive in a climate they know nothing about. To me you have no idea how it seems as if you are that infant and your community are the parents teaching you, to me my analogies may seem different but trying to find the words to express myself and share my feelings and insights, views and opinions escape me. Our cultures are very similar, you being Mexican American and I myself Chiricahua Apache Indian though I don't acknowledge that I am American due to historical and political injustices still conducted today by the authoritative conglomerate governing America. I love my country but have bitter views of my government. I love you Daniel and Ksenia, you are like FAMILY to me and I look forward to meeting my family that I have never met, share a laugh, share a meal and be happy. Your brother Dave.😢

I would’ve applied for my Russian visa but the only thing that stopped me from pulling the trigger is the receiving US money situation. I live off my 100% disability which I know would go very far out there. I’ve heard about the bank you mentioned but is there a way possible that I would be able to transfer funds monthly from my US bank account to it? It seems unless you have physical cash there is no way to move money into the Russian account. Please correct me if I’m wrong because I would love to live there

Visa and Mastercard payment systems do not work in Russia, but the Chinese UnionPay does. However, there are some restrictions for banks on the sanctions list. Thus, you need a bank in the USA that supports the UnionPay payment system and a bank in Russia that is not on the sanctions list that supports the UnionPay and Mir payment systems. For example: Bank of China (UnionPay)-> Raiffeisen (UnionPay+Mir).
Prices in Russia are about four times lower than in the United States, but salaries are four times lower. Getting income in the USA and spending it in Russia is a good idea. Nevertheless, there are difficulties for an American to obtain a residence permit in Russia. It might be a good idea to move to Bulgaria. In this case, fanatics will not accuse you of receiving money from Putin.

Hey shipmate ex navy here as well I'm glad you brought this up I'm 62 recently widowed and drawing SS. If the libs steal another election I want to get off this sinking ship. Would love to start studying Russian and move there but like you I'm afraid of getting cut off from my pension and my Medicare. I feel like I'm stuck 😞

@@mikem9892 There are big incomes and big expenses in the USA. If you are retired and have a passive income, then you should consider moving to a country with low incomes and low expenses. Currently, there is a confrontation between Russia and the United States, but no one is forcing you to move to Russia. Russia is not a unique country with low spending. Pay attention to Eastern Europe (Bulgaria, Romania).

@@ProSoborYes sir I'm considering Eastern Europe as well but I love the wide open spaces of Russia and the fascinating history. I do have a good bit of equity in my home to add to my 2k a month SS which I think could get me by quite well over there. But I have a couple of medical issues which would complicate things.

    • @Wild-Siberia
      @Wild-Siberia  8 месяцев назад +6

@@Wild-Siberia Bravo, Daniel.
