I think i have like 900 spawns in this vehicle, and it was a solid grinder simply because the crew layout lets you make lots of mistakes and play somewhat aggressively despite the very weak armor and bad chassis. Recall this vehicle used to be 8.3 about a year and a half ago, and at the time the speed was incredibly broken for it's BR generally speaking. These days it's still fast but the drawbacks of the chassis gets you into a lot more trouble than it gets you out of (very bad gun depression, lethargic reverse gear, longer reload without ace crew)

I remember having played this thing, stopping, having a few good players I know say it was OP (was still 8.3 and 8.7 at the time), me being like wtf, I play it again and it's just as mid as before. Especially now at 9.0. Same with the PTL02. 9.0 is too high for their large size and reverse gear. And or reload. Can't make it shorter so either it has to go faster in reverse or they need better non-ace reloads. The Ace crew is necessary to really be able to be efficient in the WMA and PTL. Imo ofc.
The brit vickers is 8.7 and it feels like a better version of this. I believe it has a worse dart, haven't checked, but it feels amazing to actually have gun depression + good turret traverse + good reload.
Another great video by _fofo! Could you try speeding up the video instead of cutting to the part where you are already positioned? Both in the tanks and CAS sections if possible. Like you did in Gal Batash's video on the Tunisia map!
I thought about buying this last year during the chinese independence sale or whatever it was for. But instead I bought the t89iig and t62 545 which are far more versatile. For some reason i really struggle consistently doing well in wheelie bois, i think my biggest issue is i play too passively in them conscious of their lack of survivability.
The problem with seeing people spawning SPAA when there isn't planes up... Is when your team is already being spawn camped 3-4 minutes into the match... if you leave you get crew locks... I still just think that 8.3-8.7+ need larger maps at all times to prevent this from happening... Its not even fun when you are the team rolling over them. It's just punishing players because of Gaijin's lack of improving game design. City maps are one thing, But these mostly open fields/rolling hills maps are just who can speed run to the others spawn faster.
back then PLT02 dominate 8.0 due to its firepower (the DYW PT86-100) and the thermal gen 2 vision where its other same BR did not have or only use the gen 1 thermal, same as the WMA301 where its used to be 8.3?, very prominent vehicle
I honestly regret buying this, it was ok for a while (before I purchased the Type 96A (P) ) but after that there was no reason to play it and now you also have the Al Khalid now and even the T-69 II G which are better in so many ways, to be fair, I bought during sales but even then I feel ripped off big time, it simpoly lacks any redeeming qualities.

WMA is peak, i miss the bully times when it was at BR 8.3, used to farm a lot with it
7:30 the AHEAD ammo actually has good pen and will absolutely nuke a tank, I'd recommend trying it instead of the AP belt.

Got this and T-69 IIG during anni to grind China from rank 1, both have been a delight to play.

While you're on China, how about taking the ZTS63 for a spin? Darts and laser rangefinder at 7.7 is pretty spicy

Would you say this is better or worse than the PTL, it has less pen but it gets other types of shells.
I'm pretty sure it's just an upgrade, 105mm does much better post-pen damage than 100mm
