This day was a great day as we had the chance to sit down with one of travelers and discuss their time here in South Africa. So much information was passed on and the message to those who have not been here is to get here. Coming from New York to Johannesburg was a very nice and soft landing onto Africa. Great interview and we was happy she was wanting to share to those in the Diaspora.

Ok saw you on a different site, you said you were coming. Enjoy your time here.
Wow! You're welcome 🙏
Wow this is soo cool. I hope to meet more african Americans here in my country
Yup! I'm seriously considering moving to South Africa from New Jersey! Mama Continent is calling me back home! It's in my blood...and I want to do it!

The international media like pushing their own narrative when it comes to the whole Africa. However,🇿🇦 is a beautiful country apart from the government that's taking us for fools 😌!

I’m studying for a masters degree in accounting. I’m looking for options to thrive
I wonder if there are opportunities for accounting in SA
Accounting is one of the specialised skills. You fall within the scarce skills category and government encourages expats to take up jobs. With the integration between the US standards and the IFRS standards you will assimilate easily. I encourage you to also take up Analytics, AI robotics and some of the new programs in Artificial Intelligence for Banking. Financial Services industry is the biggest employer . If you did your Public Accountant qualifications equivalent to Chartered Accountant qualifications you are more likely to be hired within seconds of showing interest in South African labour market

The real south Africa shows you the reality on the ground. Most video's about Africa are shot by people who come to Africa with intentions to show how Africa is backwards or poor they will never show you the best of Africa, I've traveled the world but its surprising the video's you watch on internet about a certain African country when you reach there you find that someone shot that video with intentions to downgrade that country, like now as we speak i came to blantyre malawi to check out something i knew i was going to a poor country and i watched video's on RUclips showing blantyre city and it was not looking good but when i arrived here 2 days ago man this small city was built really well very clean and everything is functioning like any other developed city and it's the same thing when i visited adis Ababa Ethiopia all other African countries, the video's on internet shot by foreigners who come from Europe with intentions of exposing the worst in Africa. In Africa people who never been to USA or Europe believes that everyone there is rich because of what is shown to us but if you happen to travel you will be surprised. We love you mark and your team ,myself i moved to SA 20years back and it was bothering me for years to see how south Africa is being portrayed outside, i love this country because of the opportunity it gave me .you have to travel to see for yourself
Been to Malawi a countless times and I love it
You're 100% right, it's like people are going out of their way to portray Africa in a negative light.

You will be warmly welcome over here, trust me
Come on over its amazing
We waiting for you😊!
African brothers and sisters in Diaspora as long as you still listen and watching the lies that are broadcast by American and European media about how bad Africa it is you will remain there thinking that Africa no way to go. But for them they keep coming here taking our natural resources and living the best life in Africa
They don't want competition
It's interesting how African Americans are always surprised with the vibrance and quality of life on the continent.
I'm African and travel to America from time to time. Everytime I'm there, I always tell colleagues and friends I wouldn't live there unless i absolutely had to. The quality of life I have on the continent is incomparable.
Unfortunate the mainstream global media serves a staple diet of negative news about Africa.
KEEP SPREADING THE WORD BROTHER
Facts brother
As a continent we have bad PR
Unless ppl come here and see for themselves we remain in the jungle
@@tukiemhlongo5628 western bad politics have affected Africa .don't forget.many countries esp french colonies still paying colonial tax.
African Americans feel home here because the first thing that hits them is that unlike way back in the US, in South Africa they become part of the majority, not a persecuted minority. Trust me, it’s a beautiful feeling.

South African has one of the best clean tap water in the WORLD!
Have you been to Witbank?
@@leratomoses25 Then it is the municipality that is letting the people down. However, that does not take away from the fact that most parts have good tap water.
Hence I don't bother with the still water more especially in Gauteng
When I checked into my hotel in Ghana, there was a sign there that said, "Do not drink the water." So I didn't drink the water, but; Four days later, I was sick to my stomach from eating the food that was made with that water. A week later, I checked into a hotel in Johannesburg and there was a sign there that said, "Our water is purified and safe to drink." No problem there after two weeks of eating and drinking.
You should come to middelburg and witbank and the water here is like coal we buy tap water

That's why I always say is a blessing to have you in South Africa or Africa and portraying the continent so excellent like you born here! Actually that's remind this quote by Kwame it says

It will be better if South Africa can attract skilled AAs such as doctors, engineers, entrepreneurs, accountants, IT specialist etc. to help rebuild South Africa. Sans are the only blacks who can connect better with the AAs due to our common history. We have embraced them long before it was fashionable to do so, only if they could know that. Their culture and our culture were our refuge to escape day to day hardships of apartheid brutality. Now it is AAs time to embrace us and our culture. Thanks Mark and your lovely wife for changing the narrative and slowly but surely diasporas will see Africa for what it is and not through the racist tinted lenses. Hope you also target the AA youth. This will also make them not to be ashamed to be called Africans when they come and witness black excellence in all its forms.

I love all African countries and fellow brothers and sisters but our country (SA) is the most open minded and politically conscious in the continent-Even though as black (i.e. 80% of the population) are the majority, we also embrace the diversity that comes with our country...

Interesting comment there Sipho and damn right too, but don't you think South Africans should hold their skilled African brothers in equal esteem. In the USA do you know which foreign nationality proportionally and on average holds the highest level of education and skill, ranked above that of the citizens of the USA? *Nigerians!!!!*
The country with the most educated, literate and skilled labour force in Africa on average are *Zimbabweans!!!* Not discounting the Blantons' effort but it is food for thought.
I was saying that our African American brothers can contribute a lot in any African country of their choice,
South africa has best universities which are recognized around the globe, I believe that our brothers in and sisters were denied an opportunity that they too can achieved a lot without depending on white Americans, especially by contributing in African countries, I'm sure Zimbabweans are very skilled but have runaway from Zimbabwean because of bad governance, we in SA, we fought apartheid inside the country and many of our friends didn't see the freedom we ha achieved, Many countries in Africa you Governments who don't respect their citizens, and for many South Africans they don't understand, why you allow a Presidents to be in power since 80 s to rule, look.whats happening in the African parliament in SA, Midrand french speaking countries they don't want to share the positions of the chair or Precidency for us SA citizens it gives us an impression of that , this is how they behave in their respective countries and for South Africans I'm sorry we won't keep quite , when we see something wrong happening in Africa, don't get me wrong I love Africans who contribute meaningful in their countries, I'm sorry SA will kick out their President,.when he behave like African statesman they must ask JG Zuma.
😹😹 I'm sorry there are too many South Africans, especially young black people who have degrees... all sorts of degrees from engineering to mathematics but they are still unemployed so how is that gonna work? Check your statistics, my cousin has a Bsc degree but isn't earning not 1 rand from it. I'm just asking like how?
Definitely enjoy the video. Its definitely wetting my anticipation for my trip to SA. I'm coming in June and staying for a whole month. Definitely looking forward to it.
June might be cold depending on which city you are visiting, Durban might be good fit for you as it is warm all year round.
Limpopo and Mpumalanga (Nice scenery) are also warm most of the year with a lot of wild and outdoor scenery, again depending where you are visiting.
Hello Norman!
@@TRSA Hello The Real South Africa, my peoples.
I'm always watching, I may not be commenting but always watching and hitting that like button.
Durban is actually where I'm headed. I'm visiting a friend. We're planning a trip to JoBurg and maybe Capetown.
@@smoothbm1 All the best on your visit and enjoy this beautiful country.
Keep warm when you come to Joburg in June.
I like her. Unfortunately we as South Africans don't always see the blessings but experiencing this perspective from her is nice. Come invest back on home ground, not as it was previously done to us.
Hello my sister you welcome home live is great in South Africa
Great interview as always, TRSA climbing higher and higher. Bar the accent, I could've sworn this wonderful sister is from kasi.
Thank you so much Mark for promoting our beautiful country. Your part of us now👊🏿

Thank you very much to The Real South Africa for this video. Our country is a very great country and it’s actually the same as 1st world countries. Love my country to bits. Well done guys
This video gives me goosebumps and makes me emotional! May we please encourage African-Americans to visit South Africa and other African countries
Those weren’t Arabs you saw holding hands in Rocomamas, they were Muslim South Africans. There are millions of Muslims in SA of mixed ethnicity or of Asian ethnicity who’ve been here for centuries
Thanks for the assist
Millions though? if even Indian SAns not riching 3 million?
Cape Malays, Indians and Indonesians.
@@mkdempisi not just Indians who are Muslims in SA, there are Cape Malays who have Indonesian and Malaysian ethnicity mixed with Khoi& other Black SA or some not mixed at all, mostly just south east Asian ancestry

This is beautiful. Glad you folks are enjoying South Africa and the African continent. You are always welcome here. Visited US few times and enjoyed time there, next time would like to mingle a lot more with African Americans. We love you guys here.
I swear to god south Africa is the real life wakanda or at list the closest thing to wakanda 💥💥💥🇿🇦
If you go to our website our US number is 844-Wakanda you dial it you will reach us
There's a reason they used South African languages for Wakanda. Think about it.
@@BlackDoveNYC cause we're the most developed and well known. Other countries are also amazing. So it's a start
@@ayandandlovu1292 I hope my country Kenya will get to your level sooner. We are trying so hard to get there.

The happiness is her face... priceless 👌.
Welcome home mama. Next time you come around please ask TRSA to bring you down to Durban. If they don't please feel free to book your own flight 😃from Jozi to Dbn
Where in America does she live that she can drink the water? I drink bottled water only and I live in Maryland.
South Africa appears to be a very developed country but it’s good to hear that they maintain their cultures and heritage.
She said N.Y.
I'm sorry to keep popping up but I comment as I watch. She said every one is here that's very much true European, Asians,Indians, Americans but white Americans, Africans from all over Africa are found here but AAs are no where to be seen where are you guys, Another point she said she was in the Apartheid museum and true our history is very similar AAs can easily relate with South Africans and yes tap water is totally safe to drive in South Africa straight from the tap thanks to the Department of water and sanitation.AAs can easily simulate in SA mostly in our cities and towns.
It seems that most AAs who are minded to explore the continent choose to start from West Africa. Imo, that is understandable given that their ancestors were taken from there.
Mark...thank you for doing a great job by advertising our country in such a spectacular way! Welcome to you all in SA...our AA brothers and sisters. May you all enjoy our diversity in all areas of SA. Please guys be safe out there...🌈🇿🇦✌🏽
Wow good point,All international corporates are here and they are doing very well,Ford have just invested $1 billion here in South Africa,Amazon is moving in If South Africa is so bad would they be here?would they still be moving in?the JSE alone have a market cap over $1 trillion those are local and international corporates trading and making money. The infrastructure is here roads, ports, rails and air all world class.even the health system is the best in Africa and it's free accessable to everyone we also have world class private health care.Come SA is waiting for you.
How many blacks there are getting those corporate Jobs?
@@r.medmond4165 the country is close to 90% black, do the math... 😊
@@thandomoshani1415 still dosen't mean that you all are getting corporate jobs especially managers and up. My company has a presence there an we only speak with white Afrikkans
@@r.medmond4165 I work for an international multinational South African telecommunications company and at the office our staff is 90% Black. My General manager so is my senior manager. Our whole team is black, my previous manager from a different department I worked in was black. The entire team was black and we had 1 white person in the team. And I'm talking about high paying jobs. It's a big corporate. I studied at University of Cape Town and all the black people I studied with work for big corporates in Sandton and in and around Joburg. So when they say the black people here are living it up you must know it's not a lie. And black people are buying shares too, it's about ownship now.

Her Name Is Boitumelo ..."Tumi"..bundle of joy
I am a South African man and have lately been watching videos about South Africa and this made me realized that I do not appreciate what I have.
It's videos like these from foreigners highlighting the beauty of my country. I am now on a mission to save money to explore my country. It is however my dream to visit USA (the land of Micheal Jackson and Whitney Houghston).
In SA, women whether big or thin are respected and some men love big women
A lot of Europeans love SA, I’d love to see more people in the diaspora discover it as well
I like her ❤️❤️ she is so excited
She told it like it is for sure...
Excited and exotic 😜
