I wouldn’t use it for home defense, your home wouldn’t be very inviting after dumping 50. Rounds just be careful not to hit any civilian these bullets would penetrate multiple layers of wood or drywall

We love .50 Beowulf here in Canada. Our semi-auto rifle mags are pinned to 5 rounds, but you can fit 14 rounds of .223 in a 5 round .50 Beowulf magazine. High capacity mags may be illegal, but there's no law against misusing 5-round mags.

I bought my Beowulf about 14 years ago from alexzander arms. And people had no clue what it was. Great round for boar. I did change the break to a stove pipe type break.
I have a friend who bought the bear creek arsenal version. I had to widen the ejection door and do some extractor work. Great video great gun. Next project cqb lol Beowulf lol

In Canada is was about using the Beowolf mag in a .223 Ar and this way you could legally hold 15 rounds of .223 in a 5 rounds 50cal Beowolf mag. Legally its the 5 round mag law but if it can fit its legal but i think they managed to make it illegal now :(

You're close, but the Beowulf receiver was designed for military gate or checkpoint guards. Dump a magazine into a car, that car is gonna stop, and you don't need to retrain any soldier

@@TrolloTV what's funny is the 5.56 has no place being in either combat or home defense. Since limbs are most likely spots to get hit in combat, you want something heavier that turns limbs to jelly or takes them off, in home defense you want something that won't over penetrate, but can ping around like a pinball inside thr target, like the 5.45
@John Dunbar im going to assume that youre using the argument against full sized rifle rounds that bigger doesnt always mean better, which i agree with, and that intermediate cartridges are best, which again, i agree with. however, that does not change the fact that the 5.56 is worthless. the 5.8 x 41 cartridge used by the chinese is amazing, the infamous 5.45 x 39 cartridge used by the russians is amazing, the 6.5 Grendel cartridge is great, but the 5.56 NATO is just..sad

You all have seen his videos right? he got a heavy machine gun(1919 A4-is that right?) which is a gun that he probably shot a few times on the channel.... along with the 500magnum.... why would he not get this gun, it is like right below a 50BMG in power(is that right?)
Go to the scrap yard, get some running engines that are about to be scrapped, set them on a bench with a little fuel, run them and see what calibers stop them running.

This interests me very much. You could even use different sized engine blocks. Say a small 1.6/2 liter 4 cylinder, a straight 6 cylinder then a big block V8.
However, you understand that it would be a task and a half getting one, let alone several engine blocks running outside of a car?
You'd be better off just buying 3 bomber cars and shooting them up until they stop running, forget taking the engine blocks out in the first place.
I like the idea, but as Mr. Edgecombe suggested getting the vehicle is not only cheaper BUT also real world. More to penetrate, and to steal a Matt line "who doesn't like more penetration".
