When an airline ceases to operate and has 40 MAX on order, i really don't think there should be any problem considering Boeing's backlog of over 4500MAX jets. They can easily re-allocate them to other customers. Suing or trying to sue or holding an airline to their contract is pointless if they r going bust.
The A350 might be the perfect plane, i’ve traveled it in several different classes, it’s just a mastery of engineering and beauty. Better than average fuel consumption for engines.
Yes, i love the new pacific airlines but it was in Ontario airport, california. I'm like, and an hour away, if I got a chance to fly on it, it would be awesome
We Canadians have little choice on what aircraft we can fly, domestically or internationally. Both Air Canada and Westjet are committed to the 737MAX, yet I and most of my friends really do not want to fly on this plane. We would rather not fly at all. I wonder if this is part of what terminated Lynx?
Air Canada has 33 A220's in service with 27 more on order and is planning on ordering more. They have 40 737 max 8's with 5 on order and no further will be ordered after this lot. Porter Airlines has NO 737's in their fleet and has no plans on adding them, they are considering adding A220's as their next aircraft. Westjet Exclusively uses Boeing products, corporately we fully quit using WestJet after the 737 fiasco we exclusively used WestJet till the Boeing, C Series debacle. Now we use Air Canada and Porter for most all domestic flights.
Well lately I've been chosen Porter my daughter fly's a lot from PEI to Toronto and she loves them and now they started Vegas LA and Florida from Toronto so I'm pulling for the guy with the little jet's

BTW on the 9 Lynx air aircraft. They were send to Arizona for storage because Calgary Airport refused to honour the Lynx air contract that included parking for $112/day and wanted to charge $2000/day since it was no longer an "operating" airline. In the past, under CCAA, the court stay on seizing assets applied to aircraft as long as the CCAA (Chapter 11) lasted. But since 2013, this is no longer the case and there is a short 60 day period for airline to strike a deal on aircraft otherwise they go back to lessor. Here is the relevant poart of eaarlier filing on the Cape Town Convention: The Monitor is aware of the Cape Town Convention (the “CTC”) and its Aircraft Protocol (the “Protocol”). The CTC is an international treaty intended to standardize transactions involving movable property including high-value aviation assets, namely airframes, aircraft engines and helicopters which, by their nature, have no fixed location. The Fleet and the Aircraft Leases would fall within the CTC and Protocol. 32. Canada ratified the CTC in December 2012, and the treaty came into effect on April 1, 2013, including the province of Alberta. Canada has declared applicable Alternative A under Article XI of the Protocol (remedies on insolvency) (“Alternative A”). Canada has implemented the treaty, including Alternative A, on a federal level through an Act to implement the CTC on International Interests in Mobile Equipment and the Protocol to the CTC on International Interests in Mobile Equipment on Matters Specific to Aircraft Equipment of 14 December 2012 (the “CTC Implementation Act”). 33. The commencement of the Lynx Air CCAA Proceedings constitutes an insolvency-related event under the Protocol and triggers application of Alternative A (“Alternative A”) in relation to aircraft equipment to which the CTC applies. 34. Alternative A sets out a 60-day waiting period (“60 Day Waiting Period”) with respect to the Fleet and the Aircraft Leases whereby the Applicants would have 60 days to either: (a) cure all defaults and agree to perform future obligations under the Aircraft Leases; or (b) come to a consensual agreement with the Aircraft Lessors. 35. If after the 60 Day Waiting Period, the above conditions are not met the Aircraft Lessor would have the right to repossess the aircraft. The Applicants’ 60 Day Waiting Period expires on April 22, 2024.
New Pacific hasn't given up their goal of connecting North America to Asia through Alaska so we'll stay tuned. In addition to the retired 757 fleet from American Airlines, Condor has also gotten rid of its 757 fleet that are now available for lease. I hope that this airline would succeed because of their rather unique business model in the region that they plan to operate in.

Never saw it coming with New Pacific. Old airplanes, random routes, what could go wrong? Even in their original plans, no chance.

Agreed and this is why I inscribed this morning.
Too long 5:06 and sometimes a bit of a stretch in the titles, bordering on clickbait.
Trying to get to that 10 min mark.
Totally agree, has some interesting content but 4 words where 1 will do is so irritating.
I don’t think anyone expected Northern Pacific to be successful

There is plenty of airlines waiting for the Boing 737 Max, for Boeing is not a problem, Southwest is waiting for it.

Many still think there is not a problem with the MAX😂😂😂😂
those lynx 737s are now off to VA I heard
Now that Lynx Air is dead, what will happen to its fleet?
Called it
Who wants to fly on an old 757 instead of a new 737?? Me!!
Northern Pacific ended up shutting down??? It’s almost as if 2 and 2 sums four!
iAero is also closing the doors on April 6th.
Can starlux come to Australia in the future
Don't think they actually own their aircraft, All of the Lynx Aircraft were the usual sale and lease back arrangements ,from 5 lessors in total.

Me either, I'll only fly on Airbus, Embraer and Bombardier.
