    Greetings from Down Under NZ> This is brilliant. Thanks for the jscan videos . I have a JK 08 Diesel and hoping to program 2 new Key FOBs. However I just needed some guidance simply to get around the app. Your instructions are perfect for starting off to get to know the app. Cheers and thanks again

    Can this do personalized ecu coding?

    Can you see current gear ratios ? Can change things like tire size or gear ratio ?

    • @journey2jeepin
      @journey2jeepin  7 месяцев назад

      @user-yb1gm2rc5x , yes you can change the settings to different gear ratios and also different tire sizes. Once you install the axles and or upgraded tires, just head on over to the app and set your new specs and the ecu will make the changes it needs to. Hope that helps :)

    How much is Jscan and will it work with a Ram 2500 to change fog light/head light settings? I have an OBD2 reader but I need an app to make changes to my truck

    Thanks for the jscan videos. You were instrumental in my purchase. In the live readings section using box display I see min and max readings as well as the current reading. Are these min/max numbers from my jeep or are the the operating parameters? They seem to be from my jeep. Where can I find info breaking down what these numbers mean? For example I have oxygen sensor readings from -3.91 to 99.22. And catalyst temps from -40 to 1531?
    Overall happy with jscan, it set gears and tires very well. Thanks again.

      Hey Scott ,
      Thanks for the comments, greatly appreciated.
      You asked a great question and after doing a little research I was unable to find anyone stating the operating limits of those sensors. If you contact the JScan support team I’m sure they can answer that for you :)

    Should the vehicle always be off? I am making changes to the front signals to allow led switchbacks.

    • @journey2jeepin

      I turn the key to on but I don’t start the car when making computer changes.
      It’s ok to use the app for monitoring while the vehicle is running but I would suggest not making computer changes while in operation:)

    Will this give 12 volt battery information like one of those battery monitors that stay hooked up to the battery? Like the Ancel BM300.

    • @journey2jeepin
      @journey2jeepin  2 года назад

      Hey Dan,
      There is a display reading along with other information on the “Trail View “ page. It’s real-time information of Transfer case, engine temp, intake temp, RPM, MPH and battery Voltage. As far as comparison to the Ancel BM300, it doesn’t display a graph but rather displays the Number.
      If you would like a screen shot of the page I’m referring to, feel free to email me Journey2jeepin@gmail.com
      Hope that helps :)

      Hey Hugo Lopez, yes you pay per Vin# , a one time payment. I have both my Jeep and my wife’s Jeep on my app so I made two separate payments and now I’m good for both vehicles

    Thanks for the Vid, love the app! QQ, I've had a repeated issue with passing my emissions. My CAT, HO2, and EGR sensors won't activate. I've driven a ton and they still won't activate. Can JScan help them trigger on?

      Hey Jacob,
      Not sure how it compares to FIXD app , I haven’t played around with that one before.
      If you reach out to JScan on their Facebook page, they are really good at getting back to you
      Hope that helps :)

    Just played with the app demo mode. Was thinking of using this for my 07 300c but looks lie its useless for my 01 Dakota. Wow so many options to go through. I probably missed it but didn't see an option to check transmission fluid temp? Also does it allow to change differential gear ratio? How does this compare to say an affordable $500-$600 Autel scanner?

    • @journey2jeepin
      @journey2jeepin  Год назад

      Hey craigslue,
      You do have the ability to see your transmission fluid temp, you go to module, transmission control ,live data and then the transmission temp sensor is in that list. Just select it and hit the green play button in the bottom right hand corner.
      This will give you a live feed.
      As for the gear ratio, I know it allows it for the Jeep Wrangler but I don’t see it for the 300C unfortunately.
      As far as comparison goes , I can’t say I have had the opportunity to play around with one of those scanners personally so I’m not sure I am the guy to give you an accurate comparison.
      Hope that helps :)

    Question do you have to leave the OBD2 plugged in when you do the changes, or can you unplug it after you do the changes and the changes will save in the computer? And is it like the procal where you have to un marrie it from the jeep, say for instance if you take it to a shop they put their computer on your jeep now your procal is just a paper weight?

    • @journey2jeepin
      @journey2jeepin  2 года назад +2

      Thanks for reaching out CONNECT4 4X4 OFF ROAD.
      Once you make any changes, you just save them and then you are able to remove the OBD2 reader as it will be saved on the computer.
      If for any reason the shop wiped out your settings, you can easily just plug the unit back in and out all your settings back to the way you want them.
      I keep my Bluetooth OBD2 reader in my Jeep so I can make adjustments anytime.
      Hope that helps :)

    • @journey2jeepin

      @gwp1ohio sorry you feel that way, I just checked it out on the app and it lists a warning and directions you have to acknowledge before proceeding to purchase related to a “PROXI alignment“ needing to be done after any changes as it’s a unique software used on this particular vehicle. Did you research and perform this after and still have no luck ? If so I would contact the customer service and let them know and follow up on here so others with your vehicle can avoid any issues :)
