Beautiful pattern. I just ordered a bunch of velvet. I've never worked with it before but I have a feeling I will become addicted. I plan on making a velvet baby blanket and this will be perfect. I just shared it on Pinterest. Thank you
What timing! I recently purchased several skeins of this exact yarn for the border of my Afghan but it didn't go well. Needless to say I was wondering what I could use it for and BAM your tutorial popped up! What luck! And the blanket is beautiful! Thank you! Can't wait for my next project!
I used to. But I realize that you have to maintain a relatively firm tenision (gently tugging after each stitch). That can help a lot with worming. Also handwashing only. I learned that the hard way too lol hope that helps!
@@maharial I was gifted baby velvet by someone who just couldn’t work with it. So, I’ve been reading a lot and watching a lot of videos ! The Bernat Velvet is hand wash only but the Bernat Baby Velvet is machine washable. Which were you using ?
This pattern does not work with worsted weight yarn. I could not obtain the baby velvet. So I bought worsted. The yarn that is carried shows through on both sides.
You hv the most bful pattern collection of blankets😍....

Nice blanket! Thank you for the tutorial. What did you do with the beginning of the green yarn? Simply cut?
She threaded it onto a large eyed craft needle and weaved it in amongst the green yarn stitches.
Do you have any problems with worming using the velvet? Beautiful pattern btw I love your videos
