Hatman did you see the video showing how AJ actually got the belts in his hand? This guy actually snatched them from Usyks team. All the time Usyk and his team was staring him down as he threw the belts out the ring. They were beyond pissed but kept their composure. You MUST watch that video to get a true sense of how disrespectful AJ was.

    • @bh8365

@Kareem. Agree. The clips show A.J. snatching the belts that did not belong to hm.. Usyk's team did hold it together. And I noticed that Usyk himself was stoic but pissed. At one point Usyk gestured for A.J. to return that Ukraine flag.

Hatman compares AJ's behaviour to boxing's bad boys, including a convict and a murderer. And also to himself and how he personally would react. Except AJ never wanted to be compared to 'lesser' people like them, he wanted to be mentioned alongside all-time greats, Holyfield, Foreman, Marciano and Ali.
And is it really any 'insult' being compared one of Britain's most loved heavyweight champions, Frank Bruno?? Bruno was a great champion and character. A true 'man of the people' who gets loved wherever he goes. Yet Hatman reckons AJ is 'frustrated' being compared to him. That tells you all you need to know.
AJ doesnt even want comparing to Lennox Lewis. Another great champion, one of boxing's goats, who offered to train him, and told him rightly to change trainers, yet he gets called 'a clown'.
AJ thought he'd beaten Usyk both times after getting totally outclassed! Nah, AJ WAS rightly heckled Hatman, it's time he came back down to earth and took the red pill of reality. True champions are cut from a different cloth.

I think a lot of people misunderstand this situation. Although it wasn't right to lash out after the fight like that, AJ wasn't trying to insult Usyk at all.
When Usyk said to AJ that "he's strong", AJ said to Usyk "I don't care about strong, you're not strong how did you beat me? With skill". People think this is AJ disrespecting Usyk but that's not what it was at all. AJ was basically saying that even though Usyk said he's strong, it doesn't matter because he got beat by someone who is not as strong as him. AJ was mad at himself, not at Usyk, and a lot of people seem to get that wrong. No wonder AJ had all this rage build up with all the unnecessary hate that he gets 🙄

    • @nicestguyinhouse6112
      @nicestguyinhouse6112 2 года назад

I understood that, but he was starting on his pals and still talking in aggressive tones, i think he was also slightly confused and wasnt even making full sense and even this could be accidental confusion and he was being a dick to usyk but maybe thats a stretch i dunno, 1 thing for sure is he has mental issues and has had since before Ruiz 1 and this was the final outcome of years of bottling emotions up that maybe even made it worse and finally his final chance of being top again after 3 losses in 5 and the final drop he just let it go. But he def has mental issues and this might be his 1st step to getting better, he even said in a interview he had 2 people to beat Usyk and his own head, def talking about that.

That aside, AJ did a lot better this time around, no shame in losing to Usyk in a competitive fight. Losing when you try you best at this stage, must be feel terrible but the same time, this fight might make him better in the long run. As Hatman was giving examples of outrageous ring behavior, I also was thinking of that James Butler incident. AJ's certainly wasn't up there with that kind of stuff, but it still sucked. AJ wasn't at his home turf, he was in another part of the world infringing upon the winner. Aside from the verbiage, the throwing of Usyk's belts might have been the worst move. Soon the dust will settle and we'll all be onto other things in the boxing world.

On the money as usual Hatman. Whilst AJ’s rant was out of order, I can’t help but feel sorry for the man. Not in recent memory can I think of a professional athlete so wildly disrespected by the public despite his achievements and routinely gaslight by other fighters who refused offers to fight him (whatever the reason) along the way. Now when he finally snaps after all the pressure and emotional torment people turn around and call him the bully all along. It’s honestly outrageous 😂. I challenge any of his critics to withstand the amount of abuse he’s had to these past years and make it as long as he did before they explode. If I recall correctly I think you’ve touched on this before some time ago but in my opinion the true reason a lot of the public hate AJ is less to do with him and more to do with their own insecurity. I imagine a lot of them have sat there come fight night and had to listen to their missus bang on about how good looking he is and it’s likely wound them up to no end😂. talk about being a victim of your own success………

I’m excited for this next phase of AJ’s career. I mean there’s nothing like an AJ fight night and that won’t change because of two losses to a p4p great. If his mindset is right, and he is still dedicated to the sport I think he can have some real career defining wins in the next 3/4 years. Like if you think about it, he’s been fighting with the handbrake on since the Parker fight, going into the ring with the “must not lose” attitude as opposed to the “seek and destroy” mentality he showed us at the start of his career and obviously all to do with the pressure that he had on his shoulders.
And hear me out. Now, I don’t think AJ beats fury but AJ fighting fury with 3 losses AND nothing to lose (since everybody already thinks he’s a hype job) makes that fight a lot more interesting than if AJ went in there still trying to protect his record. The pressure would all be on Fury because he’s the self-proclaimed HW king and AJ would just be a stiff body builder who has two losses to a “middleweight” (as Fury put it). Still an interesting fight since we all know that heavy weight boxing is heavyweight boxing. 👍🏽

Joshua's immediate future isn't as bad as it seems, although it (ironically) depends on Fury's success. If Fury beats Usyk in December then I think he does genuinely retire at that point, which makes sense (undefeated, not losing the belts in the ring, first man to unify the 4 belts etc). Then suddenly there's 4 route back to a world championship. If Fury doesn't retire it will only because he wants Joshua on his resume before he does so he'll look to offer him a match

Heavy is the head that wears the crown. As one of the few cashcows in boxing, AJ is under a unique amount of pressure. He's caught between 2 'masks': the consummate professional/ambassador, and the ambitious fighter who wants to be a dominant champion. He's making a fortune everytime he fights, and his opponents are starting to making fortunes too. His unique status in the sport made him become a corporate-friendly figure, but he had to submerge his emotions in the process. It's not part of AJ's brand to be a looney-tune like Fury/Wilder/Chisora, so his outburst is gonna be perceived as him 'breaking character'. AJ showed what we all knew, he's HUMAN. It was probably the worst time to have an emotional outburst, but it's probably best that it happened sooner rather than later. Worst case scenario would've been AJ putting hands on a heckler in the street.

And is it really any 'insult' being compared to one of Britain's most loved heavyweight champions, Frank Bruno??

Hatman is absolutely correct with this. AJ is now being labelled narcissistic and so forth despite it being one outburst on the basis where he should be given credit for what he has done within boxing considering where he began compared to others within the division. In my opinion adopting a humble persona despite being admirable and good PR has stabbed him in the back, where others such as Fury and Wilder are unapologetic for how egotistical and outspoken they are compared to AJ. Hatman put it well in context where individuals can react to situations rashly on a smaller scale, and AJ on a much larger scale and as a premier fighter who's revolutionised British boxing should be given the benefit of the doubt from all those years that critique and pressure to perform where he hasn't made rebutles to have his say. Despite it being unsportsman like to take Usyk's moment of glory, AJ is right to be aggrieved of the decision and the entire situation is overblown. This can be a instigator of change within his career though, with new trainers and a new mindset and if he continues to improve his technical competencies and remains active he could well get back to the top. Improvements where evident from the first couple rounds but the mental and physical fatigue got to him, where his defence was more open to clean Usyk shots.
