Oh god I'm so happy Chaz didn't fall for his lies!
I was so afraid he would just manipulate her, but thank god her faith in Aaron is that much stronger!
Aaron really deserves someone who believes him 100%.

What a great punch that was!
I mean the context, defending her son - it was like in that punch Chas was desperately wishing she could turn back time and protect her little boy (who couldn't fight back) from the monster of his father.

In that last minute, Gordon shows his true colors. He's a narcessitic sociopath. He doesn't feel love, he feels ownership. Ownership of Chas when they were married and when they split, it was not his fault but everyone else's. My guess is he blamed Aaron for the divorce and turned bitter against the boy, then when Aaron turned "nasty" and he threatened Gordon's status in the Community as a struggling single father who did Everything for his son and deserved every bit of sympathy and pity he could get (I'm describing out of Gordon's Point of view and as Gordon himself revealed, his fasad to the public and his pride is the most important thin) Gordon decided to do the one thing he knew would break the kid Aaron to his will.
Yeah, I'm a major psychology geek, especially considering criminal behavior. Can you tell? ;)

+Rem Runa You'll notice the writers are messing with our own heads. Remember when Aaron was coming out to paddy, he mentioned having a crush on a footy athlete. Gordon just mentioned something about Aaron hanging around with that footy teenager and one day he came home not being himself. But I doubt that an 8 year old would be involved in that unlikely scenario.

Oh, I noticed alright but I understood it more like a sign of Gordon's ability to manipulate events to his own favor more than anything because like you said, the scenario Gordon is portraing is very unlikely. Not to talk about Gordon's shady behavior, it speaks against him but the main reason I Believe Aaron is telling the truth and Gordon lying to high heavens is this: rape victims, especially tween, teens and adults either remember nothing... or Everything. If Aaron remember Everything else about the incident, it's highly unlikely he missidentified the abuser. And, no offense to Aaron but he doesn't have enough imagination or education to fabricate a story like this out of thin air. To tell a story like his in such great detail you either have to study rape cases in detail or more likely, live through that hell.

Yeah Aaron told the social worker, who was investigating (is that the right word?) Paddy and Rhonas suitability as adoptive parents, that his dad blamed him for Chas leaving.

SO proud of Chas for seeing RIGHT through his lies. It's vile seeing how Gordon tries to put the blame on others. Disgusting. Not a single soul is responsible for what he did but HIM.
