It took 3 project panels at $15 each, some brad nails, caulk and paint. I mistakenly also included the $30 cost for the metal saw guide I had to buy since I do not have a table saw.
Those decorative cut outs are not decorative, they are there to make it easier to grab the edge of the pans so you can pull them out. Just add them now.
Unless you overload it the cut out is not necessary. Very good idea. My trays and platters are a mess.
