    My light assembly has some kind of safety motion detector built in. I only have one light bulb socket in my F150 XLT.

    Question about the reverse lights. Im considering those but am concerned about the contacts getting corroded. He was concerned about soldering and road salt but didint mention the exposed socket contact with the reverse light connection? Normally thats sealed up inside the tail light. Is this ever been an issue? Too bad they dont make a style that connect like factory bulbs.

      We have never had an issue with that.
      The reverse bulbs do not require any soldering whatsoever, so not sure what that is about. But if you are worried about corrosion, dielectric grease will solve that.

      @@HeadlightRevolution The reverse light socket being exposed to the elements, road salt,etc since a bulb normally plugs in there in the housing behind a seal.

      I bought a set of these and have not installed them yet. Looking at the hole in the housing, the seal on these looks like they dont fully cover up the hole in the housing since the hole in the housing is not completely round. Have you had any issue of moisture or dirt getting into the tail light housings with these installed?

    So, the reverse light bulb doesn't seal into the hole. Do you see all that dirt on the back of the assembly? That is what well be going into the taillight assembly and covering the new LED bulb you installed.

      Its not our truck, not sure why there was dirt in there previously.

      @@HeadlightRevolution it doesn't matter of there was dirt previously or not, there well be more dirt and with no seal it well be inside the light.

    Meh I think I'm just gonna do the reverse lights LED, I don't see much of a difference with the brake lights and I won't have to deal with adding any hot resistors or drilling into my truck 👍🏽 thanks for the video

    These bulbs are way more modern looking, but they can't make them to work properly, you have to add a resister into the wires.

      You haver to install resistors for almost every type of LED turn signal regardless of the make. This is an older video, there are newer products out now that eliminate the need for resistors.

      Tell me if this correct...Stock flasher bulbs use more wattage to flash than an L.E.D...this lack of wattage usage from an L.E.D. is sensed by the vehicle's computers and it translates that lesser usage as a burnt out bulb...and causes hyper flash...as a way to communicate to the driver of the vehicle that there is a burnt out bulb.
      Adding a resister to each circuit a L.E.D. is added, causes more wattage to be used,(the resistor changes the excess not needed by the L.E.D. into heat,) thereby tricking the vehicle's computers into thinking nothing is wrong.
      Question: Could I, owning a 2015 Ford F150, use Forscan, change the voltage/wattage values in the truck's computers, to the lower power value ranges that L.E.D.s use ...so I'm not required to buy resistors for each circuit or L.E.D.s with built-in resistors?

      @@PyleZAP97 you bring up a great point. They claim the LEDs use less electricity but you have to put a resistor in so they use the same amount.

      @Grant DuBridge ...L.E.D.s, from all manufacturers, will use less wattage, without a resistor added...What if we could just reprogram the control modules/vehicle computers to be okay with those lower power usage values....instead of using resistors, on relay using circuits....like flashers?
      Think of the possibilities by being able to add a lot more electrical accessories, without having to upgrade an alternator, capacitors, etc.

      Lol. Not that I disagree with you, but he clearly showed how much brighter it is during daylight, so it will be the same difference at night!

      The vehicle doesn’t use a flasher for the reverse light like it does for a turn signal, So the reverse light is a simple plug and play setup.

    My 2016 F150 Lariat Does NOT Have those Tail Light!!!
