For anyone wondering, this is the 'Revell Pirate Ship 1/72', with some alternative parts added. If you look at the standard Revell Pirate Ship parts, you can see that the added Black Pearl parts are a bit less in quality (which is fine). But I would not put this kit at a solid level 5, since most of the paintwork is in a single color and the original Revell model has a much.. MUCH more complicated color scheme. This does not take away from the fact that I ABSO-LUTELY LOVE this build. Just that if you wanted to build this, but couldn't find where to buy this, just buy the Revell Pirate Ship 1/72, and start making some modifications yourself to make it what you want it to be! Very curious, the movie Dead men Tell no Tales shows the steering wheel on the back of the mechanism. They stand on the rear of it to face forward while steering. The deck started of with black spray, then you brush paint it with brown and then some light brown, weathering it by dry brushing some sand color, it’s just the matter of how you build the layers with dry brush and runny paint brush. I am starting this model and I have a question for you. How come you cut your sails that you rolled different than the rest? I am debating rolling all my sails but wondered how I would do it?
first last i cut the rolled sails different that the rest to prevent huge fabric build up and also to rig the rolled up style easier. Just research how to rolled up sails for ship model and they did the exact same thing
Julian Savedra the one that come with the kit is actually too thick, should be even thinner. I used both theirs and mine, mine is gutermann sewing thread
The Bat spray it with matt black for base color and then start adding a mixture of green, white and black (this will give you the patina color, adjust to your own liking). Seal it with matt spray and add white wash lightly and then add yellow ochre wash lightly. (Do this by looking at the actual ship figure head references) Seal it again with matt spray and you’re done
Logan Mallow i spray paint all of it with tamiya matt black first so the next paint will stick and then i start painting and weathering them with regular acrylic paint. After it’s all done i coated it with matt clear

Hey Seno, Nice work and awesome painting skills. I have seen you'r video and went buying my ship "Revel" version. And i have also buy those sails online. Nice touch. I only use Tamiya spray paint for the base black. All paint you must use are matt colors, no gloss, no silk. For detailing, i don't use any modelling paint. I use regular school acrylic paint and shoe polish that i coat with matt seal after it's dry
@@SenoEricKrueger Hey, thank you for the answer :D i apreciate it. Ok Tamiya is just the brand of colors. Does it matter if i buy other brands of spray paints. And did you use Mat spray paint or just black? :D What do you mean by "coat with matt seal" i dont get it. What are the procedures for painting with spray paint for example, the body of the ship. Seno Charles Krueger awesome! Good to know! I just got the kit today from Russia through the mail! I am so exited to start working on it, btw when exactly does one start to do the paint job? That’s where I am kind of confused, is it while assembling parts, before assembling, after assembling? My mind just spins when I think about it
Ricky there are some parts that you have to paint before and while assembling. Small parts like the canons i spray painted on the sprues because it’s so small and then I assemble it and weathered it. The captain windows I assemble first and then painted after. Like i said, it depends on which way you think is easier. I’ve assembled 13 ship models before I assembled this big ship so I’ve learnt the stages from my own experiences
The scale is pretty big so i enjoy rigging, well i enjoy rigging in general lol but if the scale is smaller it would be a pain yes. You have to do it in stages, inside to outside and understand the function of each rigging
@@SenoEricKrueger different of options on that then I guess. Figures bring it to life so it's not just a ship with nothing happening but like I said difference of opinion

MAX MONEY thank you, appreciated that
Я если что тоже русский, ты реально очень красиво постарался, я бы тоже купил, но не смогу это так красиво реализовать
The product is from Russia, i love it. Thanks. I enjoyed my time
Seno Charles Krueger :)
Fantastic she looks mint am busy building the revell black pearl pretty much the same ship but few things they most out whats on your ship
keith grant Revell is exactly the same mold, but more expensive than mine for literally no reason. The only thing different from Revell and mine is the flags, but i would tell you this....don’t use the flag haha it’s soooo far from accurate. The flag on google is more accurate than theirs
keith grant i wished for how expensive the Revell version is, they should at least make the right mold for captain cabin, unfortunately it’s the same mold as mine. I had to make my own captain cabin
Jack: She was a fine ship
Me: nei she's a thing of a beauty future past or present doesn't matter forever beautiful that's the real Curse of the Black Pearl
the quote i disagreed from Pirates 5, he shows no love to Black Pearl and just gave up
@@SenoEricKrueger ikr ?
He should have showed more emotion considering the guy gave his soul for the ship before Curse of the Black Pearl.
A tear or anything !
I have the jolly roger but not sure how to get that wood look so I have been procrastinating... great job sir.
Chris Myers the wood look achieved with layered weathering. Since this is black pearl, the deck is gritty and dirty. I used light grey wash, black and brown shoe polish, some yellow ochre wash. You just have to find what works best for you. The hull are mostly light grey wash and some dry brush to simulate rotting wood
@@SenoEricKrueger ahhhh, cool thank you, I will play around with it before I work on the ship.
Hey Seno, Nice work and awesome painting skills. I have seen you'r video and went buying my ship "Revel" version. And i have also buy those sails online. Nice touch. I have few questions about using colours.
Do i use Gloss,Mat,Silk, type of colours. Acrylic?
And what kind od brands do i use.
Revel,Aqua,...?
Wich one did you use? Any Mat or gloos or silk type of colors?
Thank you for the answers :D
I only use Tamiya spray paint for the base black. All paint you must use are matt colors, no gloss, no silk. For detailing, i don't use any modelling paint. I use regular school acrylic paint and shoe polish that i coat with matt seal after it's dry
@@SenoEricKrueger Hey, thank you for the answer :D i apreciate it. Ok Tamiya is just the brand of colors. Does it matter if i buy other brands of spray paints. And did you use Mat spray paint or just black? :D
What do you mean by "coat with matt seal" i dont get it.
What are the procedures for painting with spray paint for example, the body of the ship. When i spray paint it and let it dry, do i need to put something on it after it's dry? like for wood :D
I will look for more trick on youtube, but if you can get me some tips i would apreciate it :D Thanks again.
I suggest you do some videos, and make yourself a Donate button :D
Ups my bad, I get it now, SPRAY paint :D i have Airbrush...:D lol
Did you Spray paint the cannons also?
How did you make those cooper paint effects ? :D only with those color that you mentioned?
What do you think of Enamels colors? And why did you only use watercolors ? :D
Is there any differences between zvezda's and recell' kit ?
Riko Tuko just different box and flags, which none of that matters, all parts are the same. Go to zvezda instead
What kind of material you used for the sail and the stairs?
Eddie Ong stairs are made out of thick cardboard. You could make it out of styrene strips, i just have cardboard laying around and it did the job just fine. The sail is cotton fabric, most sail ship model using that
Eddie Ong the railing on the stairs are also cardboard with the end of toothpicks. Toothpicks have decent carving on the end of it, so i used a bunch
Seno Charles Krueger railing of the curving stair are toothpicks too?
@@Babyvipe yes
Wow! Amazing work! I just ordered this kit and as a beginner of model building, I would love to get some tips on how to paint it and make those realistic details, any tips on where I can get a tutorial on what you did specifically? A detailed video of your work perhaps? :) thanks!
Ricky i don’t record the process, I’m sorry. But all the painting i learnt on youtube. Go to Quick Kits channel and watch his videos, he deliver awesome painting technique. I learnt from there too
Seno Charles Krueger awesome! Good to know! I just got the kit today from Russia through the mail! I am so exited to start working on it, btw when exactly does one start to do the paint job? That’s where I am kind of confused, is it while assembling parts, before assembling, after assembling? My mind just spins when I think about it
Ricky depends on which part that you want to finished first. You could follow my video because my video shows what i did first and so on
Ricky there are some parts that you have to paint before and while assembling.
Ricky even some people have their own way on which rigging need to do first because maybe for them it’s easier their way.
Cool
How much the black pearl ship
Mohamed Farith i don’t sell it bro
i want
How did you make the modified parts?
Marcus flie i use hard cardboard and references
Dont you sell it ?, 😳😏😏
Alan hoil torres no lol
I imagine rigging that sucker was a pain in the rear?
The scale is pretty big so i enjoy rigging, well i enjoy rigging in general lol but if the scale is smaller it would be a pain yes. You have to do it in stages, inside to outside and understand the function of each rigging
@@SenoEricKrueger ah.
Do you sell it ? XD i love that
Masquerade of course I don’t sell it :) thanks
@@SenoEricKrueger thats what i thought :) how much is this on amazon
All that hard work and no figures bit of a shame
I'm making a ship replica, not a diorama. Figures would ruin the beauty of the design because figures would be cramped and blocking the views
@@SenoEricKrueger different of options on that then I guess. Figures bring it to life so it's not just a ship with nothing happening but like I said difference of opinion
Price?
it's not for sale sorry
love
How to buy this ship..!!?
Rajesh Sahoo just search zvezda black pearl on ebay and buy, it’s not hard really
Excellent! Sub'ed/liked! Need to check out your other vids for the details on how you did some of these effects. Thanks!
Sehr schöne Arbeit. Ich Versuche mich auch gerade an dem Modellbausatz von Amati. Mein Modell soll 80 cm Rumpflänge, 70 cm Masthöhe und 31 cm Rumpfbreite bekommen.
Danke! Yours are actually the same scale as mine. viel Glück Mann!
Seno Charles Krueger danke. Aber mein Modell ist aus Holz, nicht aus Kunststoff.
even better
Seno Charles Krueger. Aktuell bin ich aber erst bei ca. 30 %
Ich habe das Modell 2014 zusammen mit einem Heft als Abo. gekauft. Jede Woche 1 Heft und ein paar teile, aber ich habe damals die Lust verloren. So stand das Projekt 3 Jahre still. Ich weiß nicht ob ich es je fertig bekomme. Aber deins sieht total toll aus. Ich wünschte ich wäre schon weiter. 😊 😉
don't lost your desire man, yours will turn out great

Yes. It’s nice but it’s not necessarily accurate
Поосторожнее. За заставочку, могут и в суд накатать...
Great Job !
Thank you!
