    Hey Breezetix! It's Alex_Prototypical_ from the motorbike server you're in, great job on the video! Your edits are as clean as your build; props for the in-depth, quality video. You've got a knack for these engines and I'm excited to see more of your builds if you ever decide to build more 😁. I saw that deal from California Motorbikes, glad you snagged it when you did! I decided against it because if something bad happened to the jug, I'd have to shell out a pretty penny for a replacement. But it seems like you got a good kit that'll last you a while. Cheers!

    • @breezetixmoto
      @breezetixmoto  6 месяцев назад

      That I know of, I've only gone 20 miles on this lol. But at least this isn't a phantom, it should last. If the jug breaks, oh well buy the athena kit, more hp and rpm, ally jug, and should last longer.

    CORRECTION! I was wrong, you want both shields on both bearings removed, so you constantly lubricate the crank seals. I thought you wanted one shield (on the crankseals sides) on both bearings, to reduce the airflow, but still leak out the oil to lubricate the seals. Once I rebuild the engine with a new balanced crank etc I will do that now.

    • @juancarlosrodriguez8381
      @juancarlosrodriguez8381 5 месяцев назад

      Idk men the guy from Build-Break-Fix kept the seal on the bearing on the side of the case seals. I don't think those seals needs lubrication since all they do is seal the case.

    • @MotorizedMitchell
      @MotorizedMitchell 5 месяцев назад +3

      This is completely wrong. These are air cooled engines and don't have a fan too cool them so leaving it idle for 2 hours would cause it to overheat. Also, leaving it idle for 2 hours does nothing to break in the engine, a proper engine break in uses heat cycles and varying the rpm while riding the bike

    • @ncopp4358
      @ncopp4358 5 месяцев назад +2

      2 hours? Absolutely wrong. That will in fact destroy an iron cylinder. The rings need to seat properly with mid range rpm. Letting it sit for hours will overheat along with drag from the new rings that will strip away the plating on the new cylinder. Have you done this and if so, have you check the bore afterwards?
