Very honest review. Looks like I might sell it and use my 13 pro max again. I really loved the pixel software experience but that overheating issue is definitely a deal breaker
This is a deal breaker, I can’t tell you how disappointing this is to hear. If it was a company other then google, maybe it would be fixed. Thank you for getting this out.
I had a pixel 3, 4, 5 and 6. Never had overheating issues. It got warm playing genshin, but no warning even. The only time I ever got a warning was when I took it into sauna, but it didn't shut down
I never had a heat warning with Pixels since P2 ! These reviewers get pre launch versions and spread the word on release day. That's a problem in itself.
I've never had any issues with my P6P while video calling. I had it for 6 months, and I used Duo/Meet, Slack, FB Messenger for video calling and it's just a little bit warm (like 3x degree - I use Celsius 😂). Where I live, the weather is normally 30+ already, like 34-36 Celsius in the shadows. However, my phone got quite hot a few times, when I recorded many videos and the cloud syncing process was running in the background, using 4G 😂 but I've never seen the overheating alert (saw that with my previous Pixel 3). So I think it might be a software issue. iPhone had a camera-shaking issue and was fixed by an update. So it might be fixed soon. But that's about my P6P I'm not sure about P7P, please test with more apps 😁 BTW, thanks for the review 😎
Live in TX, spent the last 3 days recording 4k 30 with HDR 10 enabled as well as pictures all day for those 3 days and this is 2 days out of the box....no issues. Used GPS in the middle of the day in TX weather too. No heating issues. Quite odd if you ask me.
Damn...I bought the Pixel 7 Pro with the hope that they fixed the Pixel 6 Pro overheating issues. What a letdown! Thanks for your frank and diligent test. I have no hope of Google overcoming their ineptitude.
I bought the last few pixels, but NOT at launch. It seems as if the first batches that get sent out at launch always have issues. I usually wait a month or two, and every pixel I've had has not had any of the major issues that a lot of people had. Not sure why quality issues plague google at launch, but if you love pixels, just wait a bit to get them. Avoid the headache
Very smart... but will they listen! Content creators spread the word and they rush to get their content out on release day when most people look for reviews. Creates bad rap when there is no concern to have. So yes... wait a month, as they should too
I saw another guy do a review and he said every Pixel he gets at lunch always has dust on it when he unboxes it. That would lead me to believe those launch units have been sitting in storage for a long time.
I'm using Pixel 5 2 years now. This is my experience: The only time I recall getting a similar notification is inside the car without windows open during the time we got a safety letter for heat strokes from the gov so it was pretty hot. However it literally said please take the phone to a cooler area 😂
Had a similar issue multiple times yesterday on my brand new P7P, this is once the phone was already setup and been running for a few hours already. I have been using it without a case maybe thats why I am noticing it a lot more. Feels more warm in the middle than the top and bottom.
My first day with the phone was horrible, it gets warm using RUclips and camera app even, plus without battery saver mode on the battery drained so fast, I am trying it today with battery saver mode and see how it performs
The phone being warm to touch and "overheating" is two completely different things. Tons of phones become excessively hot , but almost non of them shut down functions because of it. Or atleast not as fast as the tensor G2
More control by AI not compatible with Hardware, though phone doesn't heat up yet AI conveys the message of heating stopping its all the functions, weird ! Isn't it!!
Never happened on my P6 standard on a video call. The 6 stays cool all the time except when I record video for a long time but I don't do that much... and I never saw that warning and it does not freeze. I just say OK, it's enough video when I feel it warmed up after awhile... like all phones do. Nothing abnormal like what you show. Hope it's software or battery learning at an early stage. Pixels need a good 2 weeks to be well AI geared up... all good afterwards (from my 3 Pixels owned experience)
Pixel 7 Pro vs iPhone 14 Pro camera comparison ruclips.net/video/KZ_usx_qvvk/видео.html Edit: let me expand - people are saying it's normal for phone to overheat.. sure, if youre outside. NOT inside, when it's 72 in the room. thats obviously not normal. if you think thats normal, thats on you. people are also saying this issue is a telegram issue. nope, ive had people tell me their pixels overheated on WhatsApp and googles OWN video chat. the phone overheated multiple times - the first time was after about 20 minutes during the video call - then I let the phone cool off enough to get service back - then I called the person back and the phone overheated within a few minutes. this repeated about 3-4x until I gave up and switched phones. Ive used over 20 phones ranging from Poco/oppo/xiaomi/samsung/iPhone/oneplus, and none of them overheated when on a video call - regardless of which app I used; WhatsApp, telegram, FaceTime, instagram video, etc. The pixel 7 pro was the only one that did. am I saying this will happen to you? NO. I stated this in the video. to all the people saying 'no other reviewer experienced this' well, idk any other reviewer that tested video calling - if you do, drop me a link below. its not like I lied, ... I posted a photo of the message, along with the exclamation point indicating the loss of cell signal. if you want me to lie in my reviews, and only talk positively about a phone - then youre clearly watching the wrong channel. I'll always give my honest experience with a phone, regardless who sends it to me.
So here's what I'm going to do Mark when I get mines today between 3:00 and 5:00. I'm going to do a video call with my wife this afternoon through dual. I've done plenty of duo calls on my Pixel 6 pro and my wife and it's never overheated. So maybe it's a bug within the app that's causing the phone to use too much power It's got to be. I've never done a video call through telegram. I always use Google duo since my wife has an iPhone and I'm the Android user, My iPhone 13 stays in the box. I rarely take it out so maybe it's a thing with the app. Try using Google duo to make a video call and see what happens, let me check my Google duo usage per call
Yeah I have video calls with my wife for 30 plus minutes using Google duo on Pixel 6 pro in my car from work on my lunch break which is hot as hell outside even I will put the AC on. But yeah no overheating issues so maybe it's a thing with the app. Try using a different video app and tell me if it happens. If it doesn't happen and it's a problem with the app itself, that's maybe using too much power on the pixel
Thanks for the honest review. I was really concerned about this. Pixel has launched in India in relatively cooler times, but this thought what will happen when temperatures hit 40 C + in summers, crossed mind. Poof, Google need to fix this quickly.
Yep. I just got one brand new. About to return it because the CPU is at 80-95 degrees Fahrenheit when IDLE and pops up at well over 105 from 15 minutes of light use. Turns an otherwise lovely device into an absolute brick within a half or or so. EDIT: It's winter here too and the current temp of my house is in the low to mid 60's.
My Pixel 7 Pro did the same thing. I’ve been through it with Pixel 1, 2, 5, (went to an iPhone for a year) and now 7 Pro. Done and going back to Apple permanently. Ridiculous.
Honest reviews is what we're looking for.. not biased reviews like marques brownlee channel.. He didn't mentioned those two important points you did. 👍
As a previous Pixel 6 Pro and a current S22 Ultra owner, this has occurred to me on both phones. P6P has had other issues regarding a weaker modemwith it's signal issues. I've watched many reviews regarding both phones and researched online regarding the overheating issue. It has something to with a combination of Androids new "battery optimization method" working with certain apps that aren't optimized. The problem started since android 11 and has appeared on 12 and now 13. I appreciate the transparency in the video. I do believe after a week of use the phones battery optimization setting will get better optimized with the certain apps you have on your phone. This definitely isn't a pixel problem only. Also another thing to point out, it also depends on which charging Brick you use to charge your phone. Using the official charging Brick from Google is definitely better for your phone than a third party brick even if it's from companies like "Anker". My S22 has had massive overheating problems regarding this issue alone.
Man why are you looking for excuses for this phone? Ppl charge their phones with different chargers all the time. We're suppose to only use googles chargers to stop the phone from overheating? What a heap of BS. I can video call in WhatsApp for 1+hours with my OnePlus 5T and it doesn't over heat.
A similar situation happened to me more than once on my Pixel 4xl, Google has had this problem for a long time now. I really hope it's just a one time thing though.
I started to get overheating issues in my pixel 4xl since I got android 11.. before android 11 my battery last 8 hours, and never overheated. Since android 12 it's been a nightmare... Overheating when playing a heavy game, 3 hours of battery fully charged. Googles company is just a big joke.
So sad that's never been solved. I had that issue using duo with the pixel 3. I even contacted google support for this and the only solution they gave was to reset the phone. Sadly when I did it I didn't realize I was missing some important stuff in my backup and lost great memories. I was so pissed. It's weird they cannot handle video calls since the early models.
Just sent my Pixel 7 back to Google, overheating, slow charging, hit and miss wireless charging "Charger connected, not charging" problems, such a nice phone, shame I had to return it. Went back to Samsung S22+, no problems!
I had Pixel 7 for 11 days. I loved the phone, and I was happy that I found phone that will last me for another years. Sadly on 11th when I woke up the phone was warm to touch so I just packed it and head to my university. I am used to take photos and record during class, and it was impossible. The phone was boiling hot, and I was unable to even touch it. I am returning it and waiting for an iPhone 15. At this point I am done with android.
This happens to me every time when I get video calls for over 15 mins on LINE with P5, no matter what temperature where I am is. Totally agree that Google should do something about it!
Yeah, Pixel 6 Pro and its second summer. Good thing I don't live in Phoenix!! 87F today and as expected, overheat warning within 10 minutes of just streaming music on the deck. I do have a full case so I'll test tomorrow with my Spigen touch armor and with no case, after doing the soft reset some people say works. Otherwise, the phone is basically unusable to me except indoors with the AC on. At that point I'm just giving up on Pixel products completely since their watch was a fail too. My wife never has problems with Samsung and I'll just switch and never look back.
I hope they fixed the video overheat issue since that was definitely a problem that has been plaguing me since the Pixel 4 XL. Don't do video calls so hopefully it's just a configuration issue. While the app developers try and optimize for the phone specifically.
Could be lack of optimization for the new chip or software to work with some 3rd party apps.. the upside to apple is that every app is completely optimized for the iphone and for every iPhone before. Maybe give it sometime for the developers on the app itself to update it and also for Google to release a update. I really want this phone I hope it's just some early software BS.
it's not. p6p has the same overheating issue in video calls and will completely shut off data, cell service, camera, lower the brightness and the refresh rate for up to 30 minutes
I don't have a 7 Pro but I can attest to overheating issues with a Pixel. I drive Uber and, even with the dark mode enabled, my Pixel will still get hot and Uber is one of the apps it decides to turn off. Obviously having my phone decide to shut off an app for making extra income in the middle of trying to make said extra income is unacceptable. Having to sit idle when I could be earning extra income while holding the phone in front of the AC at full blast for x amount of time isn't going to work for me. I'm going to give Samsung a try.
I've never had that issue with my Pixel 5. Even when we had a really bad heat wave here in California. I wonder why there is so much variability for things like this.
@@aclaypot3349 I wish I could say the same thing about my battery life. That's my only real complaint about my Pixel 5. I wouldn't call it terrible it definitely isn't great or even just good.
@@jimv1983 I just always left the battery saver on and it was actually a pretty good battery life experience for a solid 1.5 year's. Battery life started to degrade after that. Just switched over to my P7P yesterday

Got my pixel 7 pro yesterday. Been using at for heating my flat since then... Heck it even gets warm when using only the browser... I have a reeeeally bad feeling about that :(
I haven't experienced that overheating problem since . I want to say 4 or 5? Whichever offered the orange color. Didn't have any issues with my 6 and currently have the 7pro and no issues thus far
this is absolute truth summer days I’m going out with my pixel seven pro all the security instability updates latest OS enduring outside. If I’m trying to just click my selfie picture it wouldn’t allow me to even click a picture there’s no message that it’s overheating. It’s just put on work the camera can you believe it the camera stops working and this inspection and you want to first time visiting NYC and you can’t take a selfie like that is unbelievable I take out my iPhone 14 Pro and it works like a charm every picture for the 1 1/2 hours what overheating what camera stopping nothing but the pixel seven pro just keeps auditing and stops taking pictures just too bad
Be sure to test it as much as possible, as hard as possible. Make sure the phone works exactly how you want it to! If it does, definitely keep it, it’s an amazing phone
@@MarksTech I am definitely going to put it through its paces 4K60 I'm going to do a 15 to 20 minute video call today I'm going to push it if it does overheat I'm going to send it back I got the six pro back in the day when it came out and had the same issue I thought this might be fixed I did not think for a second that they would let this happen again, also I had the disconnection from the mobile signal and Bluetooth would not stay connected either for me on the 6 pro. Honestly this would be the end of me ever buying a Google product again.
@@thesocialintrovert yes it over heated on a video call bad. Only a 10 minute call. Video recording in cinematic mode 6 minutes in. 4K 60 right minutes in after chilling off in the house. Just 🏃🏃♀️🏃♂️💨 Run away from authentic Indian chicken curry.. the Google pixel devices like the chicken curry makes you sick and bloated I agree with you 100% I used to have a pixel device… my experience is terrible… it is not a flagship device by all meaning
The sides of my pixel 6 gets extremely hot with prolonged LTE use, the center of the phone itself doesn't get warm but just where the antennas are located.
This is very troubling. That's why I decided that I'm not even going to think about buying it until January or February of next year. I've had enough pixel phones to know that it takes Google several updates to get the phone where it needs to be. Which is a shame! But if you're going to live that pixel life, that's something that you have to get used to. I guess I'll be having my pixel 6 Pro for a while.
Yup smart move. Samsung , Xiaomi and OnePlus will all have released new phones by February. So if they do ever fix this issue , the pixel should be a good deal around that time
Thanks lol, cancelled my order right away. (Well this, combined with feedback from reddit, I said enough is enough... I already lost a OnePlus to overheating before, so PTSD I guess 😂)
I'm starting to think this has to do with Pixel's Raw android it's too heavy for any phone, which really makes you think why other companies put their own custom roms on top of Vanilla Android. My pixel 4a 5g used to overheat and that thing had the snapdragon 765g when I switched to the 6 pro same thing overheating now with the exynos chip. All I can say is if you live in hot climates avoid Pixel phones like the plague Imao.
Heavy? Stock android? Huh? You must be confused bro. Stock Android is as bare bones as it gets on Android. It's completely opposite of 'heavy'. Something like One Ui, sure. Not 100% stock android.
I decided to switch to Google pixel 6 pro coming from OnePlus, I regretted it and switched back to OnePlus. So far I'm enjoying heat free from the OnePlus 10T
Was about to pull the trigger on a P7 (not Pro) and trade-in my 6 Pro thinking things would be "better" given the multitude of problems with the latter. Apparently, things aren't that better either. Thanks for helping me save my hard earned $$$.
Had EXACT same problem today on a video call. I am NOT happy on this. Signal, call, everything dropped. Bluetooth as well. I mean WTF, still overheating problems google!!
I have a Pixel 6 and it annoyed me a lot when i tried to record long time videos it gets overheated. Last summer in the UK i could not record more than 15 minutes continuously with 4k/30. i generally do long time videos and I promised I will never buy Pixel any more. Camera comparison with iPhone is pretty similar, whoever iPhone is more expensive.
I'm currently using pixel6 at the moment. I rarely game on it and use social media. I do use it to check my bank accounts and google map sometime. I own multiple Pixels throughout the years and all of them have the same problem. It starts with battery life shortage so you constantly have to charge while using it. It gets pretty hot where the battery is at. Network cuts off or the phone shuts down due to overheating. Sometime It even shut down while charging.
I got the 7 pro myself and it stayed warm just from playing RUclips music. I stopped it and it still stayed warm for another 15 minutes. I had to take the case off for it to cool down. But the battery life will drain pretty quick too. I will charge it to 98% and within 5 minutes... It's already at 94%. Hmmm 🤔.... I might just go with the regular Pixel 7.
I'm having the same issues even after the update. Sergio are you having scrolling issues? It's really starting to annoy me. I'm really considering on returning it and just going back to my 13 Pro Max or S20+
@@yokhanman not having that issue. I did a clean wipe and reinstalled Android 13 software and seems like the overheating issue cleared up. But got the regular pixel 7 also and it did the same overheating issue. So I did the same process of a clean wipe and reinstalled Android 13 and I haven't tested it yet but hopefully it helped.
June the first 2023, My pixel 7 pro gets hot over social media. It gets hot with basic function even with a case on. I bought it 4 days and already hate it. No google phones anymore

Since January 2023. 2 of them, I couldn't connect to mobile data. Got a replacement again for the 3rd time ( thank God for warranty) and it got to hot and warning and phone shut off. So once again just got a replacement yesterday. Went to transfer data and the new phone got HOT!! At this point I think I'm going crazy. Contacted Google this time and pretty much told me they couldn't help me out. To call Verizon again for the warranty. Never again will I ever buy a Google phone. Once this phone is paid off . I'm done!!!
i talk on duo on the pixel 6 pro all the time. i found that the camera app a couple months ago siad the phone was getting hot but it wasn't really that hot. the stock app limited things i guess. so i switched to one of my 3rd party apps and it never stopped recording at all. so i chalked it up to the google camera app. i haven't had it happen anymore.
@@MarksTechWhat a coincidence. Initially when I was not able to figure out, to give my mind solace I told myself that you like Glenn Howerton(the guy from It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia).
This is not a Pixel 7/7 Pro issue. This is a Telegram app issue. There is a Reddit page already about this. It is affecting Huawei, OnePlus, Samsung and even iPhones. Google, Samsung and Huawei tech support recommend using Google Duo (now Google Meet) instead of Telegram for Android video calls.
Another person in the commons said they’re pixel overheated in Google duo as well. I never had any issues with any android phone on telegram, except pixel apparently.
My Google Pixel 4XL didn't overheat even when the temperatures where I live were over 100f. This Pixel 7 Pro I had some heating issues to begin with but it seems to have calmed down and I have a Spigen Rugged Armor case on it as well, although I have to say the outside temperature has dropped a lot now.
Mark - I did check various reviews and some people have tested it with whatsapp Video for more than 30 minutes. Can it have more to do with Telegram App? Can you test using Whatsapp, Duo etc and share the update?
Most processors made by Samsung cannot handle heat problems well. Very different from the processor made by TSMC. Not all of them are like that, but most of them are, and so is TSMC.
Pixel 7 pro overheats. Shot video inside a small venue and during 2nd video of 5 minutes the overheat warning showed up. Had more to shoot, so I kept shooting. About 4 videos in the camera locked up. Gave it a couple of minutes then tried the camera again. Shot rest of videos ok but heat warning on the screen. Usually shoot with iphone 12 pro or LG v60. Guess I'm shooting video with those because neither overheats. Every pixel after the 4 has had this problem.
Mark, now I am confused, I watched one of the video reviews from you, and you said you heard people complain of the pixel 6 overheating but you said you have never had any problem of any sort not even once... Today here you go telling us this... So what now do you want me to believe?
The android 15 beta version has been awful. Under heavy use the battery only last about 2 hours, gets dangerously hot, performance is janky when hot. Charging while using it triggers a warning that the phone is overheating and shuts down. Currently opting out of beta program in the hopes that it will improve. I do wonder if having an Otterbox suitcase around it contributes...
People need to understand that some bugs are very much isolated,a lot of other users of p7pro have no issues at all. I videocalled this afternoon more than 50 minutes and was just fine. So i would some devices might have issues and might hardware or software. Is the same thing for all the brands. I see no reason to make it a big deal
That better be fixed before I get mine lmao. I don't video calls though or take long videos like that. I got this over iPhone because the iPhone was a month wait
yes, overheats when shooting video for cooking videos. I found that I had to put it in the fridge to cool it down so I can continue to shoot. kind of annoying.
Same with my Pixel 7 pro.... Use telegram chat, Lte, music playback - 36C..... (my last Galaxy S22 Ultra never overheated ...) Google phones is really hot
I remember that my original Pixel ( 2016 ) became very hot when doing video call using Skype . I was worried that it might damaged the battery that I rarely used the Pixel for video call. It would be interesting for you to try video call using WhatsApp to see if the same thing happens. Also when you did the video call was it using WiFi ?

Pixel 7 Pro vs iPhone 14 Pro camera comparison ruclips.net/video/KZ_usx_qvvk/видео.html
Edit: let me expand - people are saying it's normal for phone to overheat.. sure, if youre outside.
So maybe it's a bug within the app that's causing the phone to use too much power
It's got to be.
I live here in Florida too. Just like you Mark, I live in Palm Beach originally from Miami
Ridiculous.
Yup same , returned my pixel 7 pro and will be going to iphone. Holy fuck the tensor G2 is trash
Why did you keep getting pixels?
Modem/connectivity issues 100% fixed on to the 7/7pro
@@lilmario0 go buy a OnePlus 10 pro then. Have fun.
No one is looking for excuses.
I will call out Google anytime it's needed.
@@Yinzzy656 yea I own a p7 pro now and it's been fine for me as well. I actually traded in my s22 ultra for it lol. Best pixel I've own TBH.
A similar situation happened to me more than once on my Pixel 4xl, Google has had this problem for a long time now. I really hope it's just a one time thing though.
happened when I used the original Pixel ( 2016)
I started to get overheating issues in my pixel 4xl since I got android 11.. before android 11 my battery last 8 hours, and never overheated. Since android 12 it's been a nightmare... Overheating when playing a heavy game, 3 hours of battery fully charged. Googles company is just a big joke.
That's a phone that's how many years old now? Can't compare to those with the newest pixels.
Just got the phone. Opened and after it was setup it started to get warm to touch. After 20 mins it's getting hotter. Definitely returning.
So sad that's never been solved. I had that issue using duo with the pixel 3. I even contacted google support for this and the only solution they gave was to reset the phone. Sadly when I did it I didn't realize I was missing some important stuff in my backup and lost great memories. I was so pissed.
It's weird they cannot handle video calls since the early models.
this is why I wanted video call test. I have been experiencing this for Pixel so long.
Thank You for the video. I already have placed an order and was planning to use it over s22+ but now I will cancel order of pixel and keep 22+
My Pixel 7 Pro simply overheats using it. No video. Just using it
Me too 😢😢😢
Just sent my Pixel 7 back to Google, overheating, slow charging, hit and miss wireless charging "Charger connected, not charging" problems, such a nice phone, shame I had to return it.
How old is the pixel 5 now?
@@Yinzzy656 This happened right from the moment I bought it.
I'm still waiting for Mark to cook a egg on the back of a Sony 5-IV. 😂😂
My Xperia 1 mk3 shuts off photo app after a minute or so of non use - quite annoying but better than melting
Wow , mine is the opposite , my iphone 14 over heats all the time, and my new pixel 7 pro never heats ,, wow , this is crazy
Stop lying
Not surprising, as the Tensor G2 is built on the Exynos (from Samsung) foundry
THE SERVICE DROPPING OUT HAPPENED TO ME LAST SUNMER! Stepped outside, immediately overheated(Pixel 5) Had to upgrade to S22 Ultra, never overheated
I've never had that issue with my Pixel 5. Even when we had a really bad heat wave here in California. I wonder why there is so much variability for things like this.
@@jimv1983 same, my P5 is solid

@@aclaypot3349 I'm curious how your battery life on the Pixel 7 Pro compares to the Pixel 5 under the same conditions but it's probably too early for you to tell. I'm not happy with my battery life.
Been using mine non stop since yesterday. 4k recording, pictures watching videos etc, making calls etc not a single time over heat
Where do you live? I wanna know if the temp of the location plays a big role or not
India
I keep my phone at low brightness. Maybe that could be a factor
That’s been the problem with pixels. Zero quality control. Some phones r good, some are not. No consistency across the board.
I've had mine for four days. No issues with overheating or even getting warm
My pixel 7 Pro felt extremely warm just by transferring data from my old phone.
Same with mine.
I'm thinking it COULD be device dependant.
this is absolute truth summer days I’m going out with my pixel seven pro all the security instability updates latest OS enduring outside.
Remember how sweet the Nexus 4/5 were? I kinda miss those tbh.
Thanks for your honest review. Always appreciate you!
Thanks Mark i just got mine today. I'm going to test it thoroughly.
Be sure to test it as much as possible, as hard as possible. Make sure the phone works exactly how you want it to! If it does, definitely keep it, it’s an amazing phone

Just 🏃🏃♀️🏃♂️💨 Run away from authentic Indian chicken curry.. the Google pixel devices like the chicken curry makes you sick and bloated
I agree with you 100%
I used to have a pixel device… my experience is terrible… it is not a flagship device by all meaning
The sides of my pixel 6 gets extremely hot with prolonged LTE use, the center of the phone itself doesn't get warm but just where the antennas are located.
Want to love Pixel so much but my 6a overheats even inside the car with air-conditioning running.
Is it that bad, would u not recommend?
What's the reddit thread link?
I'm getting my p7pro today and I'm not sure about it anymore. Don't want all the bugs from last year
Got it? How has it been?
Was about to pull the trigger on a P7 (not Pro) and trade-in my 6 Pro thinking things would be "better" given the multitude of problems with the latter. Apparently, things aren't that better either. Thanks for helping me save my hard earned $$$.
Had EXACT same problem today on a video call. I am NOT happy on this. Signal, call, everything dropped. Bluetooth as well. I mean WTF, still overheating problems google!!
Lived with this on my 6. Still happening on my 6a. Definitely not grabbing the 7 series with a Sammy chip. My 14 Pro has been solid AF.
No problem with video call on my iPhone 13 Mini. Had the same overheating problem with the original Pixel (2016).
Google kicked his ass again by going with samsung fucking super hot fabrication technology which has yield of 30%
I have a Pixel 6 and it annoyed me a lot when i tried to record long time videos it gets overheated.
LOL - if that is the case at 22 C, I wonder what will happen in India at 45-50 C in summers!!
Mine only heated up during transfer when setting up. I keep mines in the car in Texas with no issues.
Same here,Pro 7 2 days old and burning hot to the touch! It's a common issue, and with barely any support I'm dumping mine Monday!
i talk on duo on the pixel 6 pro all the time. i found that the camera app a couple months ago siad the phone was getting hot but it wasn't really that hot. the stock app limited things i guess. so i switched to one of my 3rd party apps and it never stopped recording at all. so i chalked it up to the google camera app. i haven't had it happen anymore.
I just returned my pixel 7 pro for same reasons
Don't know who, but you look like an actor, and I can't figure out and it's driving me crazy.

No heating issue here. Have been to 2 vacations with it, photographed everything like crazy and data was on the whole time. Nothing happened.
I own a Pixel 6 - Want to upgrade (was thinking off Pixel 7 Pro but this video keeps me thinking)
I pre-ordered the Pixel 7 pro. This makes me want to cancel my order. Im so confused in what to do. 😩
Don’t cancel just yet! Try it out and see how it goes. You have a return window anyway
That better be fixed before I get mine lmao. I don't video calls though or take long videos like that. I got this over iPhone because the iPhone was a month wait
I face the same issue, phone overheats during video calls ALL the TIME! and battery life is quite poor
yes, overheats when shooting video for cooking videos.
Your review is honest. Thanks for your feedback. I have pixel 5a and 6.
