I would recommend the PS1 version to be honest! In the PS1 version, the car models change depending on the race, so you can drive the X-wing Tyrrell at Montreal for example. On the other hand I can modify the PC version and bring Jacques Villeneuve back to the game.
You can with dgvoodoo2 yes. Or probably nGlide. I do play with a controller. Setup the game for keyboard use, then use JoyToKey (free software) to convert those to controller inputs.
I have played this game on the pc version. I have also seen pictures of the pc game on the internet. Both in the version of the game that I have played and in the photos that I have seen, the cars look very dark, as if they were not part of the stage or daylight did not affect them. How is it possible that in the version you play, the cars look so good? In fact, they look similar to the PS1 version. In other words, daylight affects them. A fantastic game, the best car game I played on PS1.
@@OldRacingGames cool, I'm assuming you used a hex editor for the EXE, same for the commentary file? would love to know what else can be done with a hex editor
@@YeomanTheDespot Yup. The Comment.pth (aka Comment.path) contains the hex addresses of each commentary file. So technically I could swap the drivers around and even get Murray to say "Riccardo Rosset" and "Vincenzo Sospiri" since there are in-game commentary files for those two drivers!
Old Racing Games Yes it can!! It did on mine as well :) Just the controller mapping (can be done inside options menu of the game) is a little.. "learning-by-doing" - but nothing too bad.
As You Can See There are 22 Cars In The Field But You Can Only See 10 In Front of you so they don't have to be patient Um You Can't Run a Race With A Multiple Cars Seated At One Time So Whatever you pass Someone A Car Would Pop Up At 906 Feet In The Distance 😂

how come Villeneuve's not censored in your version?
I edited the EXE to display Villeneuve's name and hacked a Commentary file, which changes Murray's commentary so he says 'Villeneuve'.
